A good night? Bai Yue's lips twitched as she struggled to keep a straight face.
"Your tastes are quite peculiar... my lord," she said in a clipped manner, making a show of looking at the roof tiles. "This is the first time I ever see someone finding pleasure in strolling up people's roofs."
Ji Mo Yuan lay down next to her and propped himself on one of his elbows. They didn't touch each other but Ji Mo Yuan could smell Bai Yue's faint scent every time he breathed. His smirk widened when he noticed her blatant annoyance. "And do you often go out to look for your fellow roof climbers?"
Although his expression looked like he was mocking her, he spoke in dulcet tones and his stare was softer than a feather. It tickled Bai Yue's heart for a second and she lost herself in his gaze. Only for a short moment, however, because she was quick to return to her senses and look away from his seductive appearance.
