210 Celebration and Internet

As February approached in 1994, KiShin announced the release of the Gameboy Pocket.

A lighter version of the Gameboy, it was significantly more affordable than the original Gameboy.

First advertised on a Japanese TV channel, the commercial featured an elementary boy effortlessly pocketing the Gameboy and discreetly playing it while the teacher wasn't looking.

The commercial was humorous, though it did annoy some people. However, it didn't deter those in Japan who desired to play on the Gameboy but found it too expensive. With the introduction of the Gameboy Pocket, a lighter and more affordable version, it appealed to the preferences of many Japanese.

On February 13, 1994, the Gameboy Pocket was released and quickly purchased by numerous Japanese.

Coincidentally, it was also Shin and Mira's son, Shinichi's birthday. Shin and Mira's parents visited their new house in Minato Ward. Upon entering, Shiro and Airi, accompanied by their sons and daughters, marveled at the spaciousness of the mansion, leaving Airi impressed.

The mansion exuded a modern touch, and upon entering, the house's exquisite design even left Shiro impressed.

As Shiko and Seki strolled through the backyard garden, they spotted Shin and Mira with their son. The area was already bustling with guests, including executives from KiShin companies and Shin's friend, Higeki Kiyoshi.

Meanwhile, Ruki promptly approached Shin and Mira, finding amusement in observing her nephew.

Ruki enjoyed playing with her nephew Shinichi, who responded with adorable laughter.

Meanwhile, Reina seemed amused by her nephew too. Honestly, she still harbored disappointment that her boyfriend, Kenshin, had given up on their relationship. Consequently, she now had fewer 'servants' at the university.

Adding to this, she was nearing the completion of her university studies. While she had gradually become more mature, her spending habits remained unchanged, as if there were no limits.

Simultaneously, she couldn't help but feel a twinge of envy towards Mira for having a dependable man like her brother. Especially knowing that Shinro was so affluent that he could likely afford a private plane by now.

After some time, Shiruu also made an entrance with his girlfriend, eliciting surprise from his parents and siblings.

"You have a girlfriend now? When's the wedding?" Shin teased Shiruu, who had brought along a beautiful and fit woman.

Shiruu chuckled wryly, replying, "So fast?" He paused to introduce his slightly tall and beautiful girlfriend, saying, "This is Ran Asakawa. She works as a model."

Ran Asakawa bowed to Shin and the others, presenting herself and mentioning her occupation as a model in a certain company.

Upon hearing her name, Shin faintly sensed familiarity but dismissed it, assuming he must be mistaken.

Sazama and Kumiko arrived shortly after Shiko. Upon seeing their great-grandson for the first time, emotions surged in their hearts. The youngest grandson, Shinichi, had completely captivated their hearts.

As the uncles, aunties, and their respective sons and daughters from Shin's side arrived and witnessed the close bond between Sazama and Shinichi, a sudden alertness and alarm set in among them.

Observing this, Shito, the vice chairman of the Suzuki Group, immediately whispered to his son, Shuichi, "When will you give your grandfather a great-grandson? They're growing old every day, and they need to see what you're capable of..." His wife concurred, casting a meaningful look at Shuichi.

Upon hearing this, Shuichi felt helpless and responded, "Didn't you say I should focus on studying before pursuing romance?"

In response, Shito brought Shuichi closer, whispering, "The plan has changed... Look at how close your grandfather and grandmother are to that youngster, Shinro's son." He pointed at Sazama and Kumiko, who were playing with Shinichi.

Shuichi observed that his grandfather and grandmother were indeed amused by Shinro's son.

Then he overheard his father, Shito, saying, "It wouldn't be a surprise if that great-grandson of theirs, the son of Shinro and also the grandson of Shiro, ends up inheriting a portion of your grandfather and grandmother's shares."

Shuichi found the statement logical. Simultaneously, he recalled that his grandmother, Kumiko, also owned shares in the Suzuki Group.

Upon hearing more of his father's reasons, Shuichi felt the urgency to have a son immediately. He also heard his mother whispering, "It doesn't matter if it's a boy or girl... Just make sure the baby is cuter than Shinichi."

Shuichi suddenly felt a palpable pressure upon hearing that.

Shortly after, Mira's parents, Miku and Daichi, along with Minji, arrived at the party.

Photographers arrived to capture pictures of Shin, Mira, and their family.

This time, despite the competition between Shin and his other two siblings, they came together for a photograph. Shiko and Seki were accommodating enough to smile alongside Shin for the photo.

Meanwhile, Shin's cousins also took a photo with Shin, Mira, and their son.

Although Mira felt uncomfortable in the presence of Shin's family, she persevered. Soon, their baby Shinichi's cake arrived.

The cake was an impressive creation featuring characters from Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, and various KiShin video games. The most popular among the children brought by the executives and employees of KiShin was Pokemon.

When Shiko and Seki saw the 12 large cakes, each adorned with a candle representing a month and featuring KiShin's popular video game IPs, they couldn't help but feel a bit bitter. After all, these very popular video games from KiShin were posing challenges for the Suzuki Group in the video game sector.

Meanwhile, as the celebration for KiShin's founder's son unfolded, Yahoo! was added to the homepage in the worldwide web directory.

The Internet industry would become so widespread and global that it would surpass the video game industry, which was only gradually gaining worldwide recognition, especially when compared to the swift success of the Internet, still not as popular as it is today.

Simultaneously, KiShin's investment in the worldwide web would now begin to show its effects after the few years that Shin has invested in the company.

While it might still take a year or two before the internet becomes relatively well-known, it's not an exaggeration to anticipate that the profits Shin will gain after the internet's popularity surges will be immense.
