Chapter 45: Ambush

15 minutes earlier...

"I am going to the market with my mum, I will be back soon" Oma said to Erica

"You are leaving me with Lilian?" Erica asked her

"Yes of course, she is staying here for now before she goes back to Dubai" Oma responded

"No, that's not what i am talking about, you are leaving me with Lilian; we are like two villains to each other here" Erica said to her

"Come on Erica, Lilian is afraid of you so she won't come closer to you" Oma told her

"Yes i know but she is going to try to piss me off at least, it doesn't end well anytime we are together, I might commit murder this time" Erica told her

"Just avoid her instead, that won't be bad right? see you" Oma said leaving quickly before Erica could say another word.

On entering back to the sitting room, she bumps into Lilian

"Watch where you are going Erica!" Lilian shouted getting up from the ground "Oh..." she exclaimed when she had seen Oma 

"Hope am not making a big mistake right now" Oma said to herself

"Mistake about what?" Lilian asked curiously 

"Nothing, i am going to the market with mum; see you later" Oma told her

"What?" Lilian asked

"What now?" Oma asked

"You are leaving me with a stranger?" Lilian asked her

"You are a stranger to her; she is a stranger to you; case closed" Oma said leaving immediately to avoid more dramatic scene.

She joined her mother who was outside waiting for her patiently in her car.

Erica avoided Lilian by staying at the sitting room why Lilian stayed inside Oma's room.

Few hours later, she was distracted by the sudden knock on the door.

Erica rushed to open the door hoping it was Oma who had returned back from the market with her mother, she was bored of having Lilian around the house. In total shock; standing before her was Olga.

"You!" Erica said 

"Yes, me; who could it possibly be?" Olga responded with a smirk

"How did you find me?" Erica asked her

"The same way i found your friends weeks ago" Olga responded "It's so easy to find anyone here; technology had made it so easy" she added trying to come in

"I will kill you if you step a toe inside" Erica threatened 

"Why don't you try it with her inside" Olga said with a grin

Erica turned back only to see Lilian coming down approaching them

"Who is on the door?" Lilian asked

"Nob..."

"You must be Lilian? Erica told me so much about you" Olga said interrupting and pushing away Erica from the door

"Shit" Erica silently said balling her hand

"And you are?" Lilian asked Olga

"I am Erica's mother; we haven't met before" Olga lied 

"You are Erica's mother?" Lilian asked in confusion 

"My foster mother" Erica said wishing she could just take back her words. 

"Erica never mentioned about having a foster mother" Lilian said still looking confused

"Erica and I aren't in good terms, that's why she is here; I have come to amend things with her" Olga said glancing at Erica.

"Oh, my poor daughter" she said slightly touching Erica's face as Erica gives her a cold stare.

(Journeying back to Riveria) 

"Halt!" Queen Ola said when she had felt suspicious of the path they had taken while heading back to Riveria

"Is there a problem your majesty?" One of the Mer-guard asked the queen

"We are not alone" She said to them.

They were forced to look around suspiciously when the Queen had said that, they were just few of them who had escorted the queen to Riveria, they had swam further away from Marco for hours now.

"Who would be stupid enough to attack her majesty?" another guard asked

"Show yourself before the queen if you aren't afraid, why hide?" The Queen ordered as her followers looks around the river waiting for whoever was there with them. 

They were quickly startled when double tiny weapons flew out from nowhere with one of them slightly piercing the queen's flesh before going down the waters

"Your Majesty" They quickly shouted at the sight of the queen's injury.

Ten sea warriors came out of their hideout to face them with their weapons right on their hand.

"Finally, a show after the boring ceremony" The queen said with a grin.

"Protect her Royal Majesty!!" The Mer-warriors leader ordered.
