Chapter 30: Mother & Daughter

(Oma's Home...)

Oma's mum opened the door to welcome whoever it was on the door, she was surprised to see Linda at the door...

"Linda, when did you get back from Accra?" she asked

"Yesterday's evening " Linda responded

" That's nice, how are your family over there?" She asked her

" They are good, I had missed you and Oma so much" Linda responded

" Did Oma know you would be coming too because she will be really thrilled" Oma's mum said looking excited

" It's a surprise, is she inside?" Linda asked grinning from ear to ear

" No, she left since morning and her phone is powered off; I couldn't reach to her" her mum responded

" Okay, I will wait; I brought some goodies too" Linda said looking overwhelmed

" Come in" Oma's mum said going inside and leaving the door open, Linda followed behind.

Hospital...

" Help!!" Lava shouted drawing everyone's attention the moment he had come in carrying Oma who was covered in blood.

" Oh my God" a voice said in awe

" Get the emergency bed, and the oxygen too" a female nurse said immediately

Some of the nurses rushed to Lava taking away Oma from him, she was placed on the emergency bed with an oxygen fixed on her so that she could have an external air into her

" She has lost so much blood" the female doctor said when Oma was been taking to the ICU unit.

Lava placed his hand on his jaws in panic after the nurses had stopped him from going with them, his clothe were drained with Oma's blood.

(Riveria)

" I bet you are not treating the Marco well enough; you always make enemy everywhere your existence is known of" Princess Adunni said interrupting her mother who was being entertained by some of the mermaids.

"Excuse us" The Queen said to the mermaids

The five mermaids quickly swims out giving them the privacy they wanted.

" Care to explain why you can't let me have peace in my own space?" The Queen asked

Princess Adunni exposed the shark tooth whistle which dangled when unwrapped from her hand.

"It's creepy to give me a gift, Adunni" the Queen said to her

" Why would I give you a gift, mother?" Princess Adunni asked with a hand gesture " This belongs to Prince Obi" she told her

" Are you trying to start wars between Riveria and Marco; this is treason" The Queen told her

" Stop defending them Mother, the Riverian Sirens are dying, you can't possibly tell me that Prince Obi's precious item was just lost and found at the forbidden dungeon" Princess Adunni said to her

" The dungeon?" The Queen asked

" Yes, the dungeon, he couldn't have known that place; we both know that it's a secret passage" The princess said to her

" How are you sure that it is Prince Obi? He wouldn't go against me; even his father wouldn't do so" the Queen said to her

" Everything points to him including all his suspicious acts ever since he lost me; we never had a talk since that day" Oma told her

" The whistle can't prove anything; you need to catch the culprit in act?" The queen told her

" And how am I going to do that? the piranhas will soon be flooding the Riveria if u don't find their egg or whatever it is hidden underneath the sea that attracts them" Princess Adunni said to her

"That is up to you to find out" the Queen said to her

"You don't seem to be bothered about this mother? you know what the piranhas are capable of doing to the Sirens" Princess Adunni said to her mother eager to know why she could be so calm at this state.

"I want to see how you handle this situation without a fight, I already know how this is going to turn out but I will let you prove me right" The Queen told her

Princess Adunni inhaled and exhaled

"It's just a competition for you right? I am going to get to the bottom of this" Princess Adunni said to her, with that she swims away.

(The laboratory)

Olga licked the blood on her hand after wasting few of the guards both outside and inside the laboratory. the scientist at the laboratory panicked when she had given them a death stare to back away from her. They feared the human that was covered in fish scales and thorns which gave them chills.

"I am here just for my daughter" she said making a pity face

They quickly pointed to an underground stairs that was few walks away.

"Thank you" she said with a grin, with that; they watch her change into a younger woman leaving the room, their mouth drops open at the sight of her transformation.

Erica waited patiently for whoever it was that was putting everyone in jeopardy, for the past twenty minutes; she had been left alone in the fish tank as she wonders what exactly was going on.

"How could they do this to you" came a gentle voice breaking down in pity

Erica could hear the voice but couldn't answer back to her from the tank. she watches the feminine figure comes to light exposing the unknown woman to her.

Olga silently hummed the Siren song that only one of them could hear no matter where they are, Erica placed her hand on the transparent tank in other to connect with her, Olga walked closer to her and placed her own hand closer to her from the outside.

"I am here for you now" Olga said to her as Erica placed her head on the fish tank.

"Get away from her witch!" Vashi said from behind.
