"Adeline !! Have breakfast first before leaving, my mum yelled.

"Am already late mum oh my god.

My boss is going to be very angry with me, I can't afford to get fired, we have bills to pay.

I ran as fast as I could to the train station, creeping into the office again, I worked inn an advertising company, and yes wondering if the pay was quite large. yes, it was and I couldn't afford losing.

"late again Adeline.

Ah, he caught me.

"Mr Stevens, you here quite early today, I said with a smiling face.

"That is the third time this week, is everything okay?

"Cause you look stressed, is there a problem?

Taking care of my sick father has been stressful, sleeping and waking up in the hospital, I know everyone is trying their best is just stressful, I wish I could say it to him but I was never the one to share my problems.

"It's nothing, sir, I promise to change my ways, I apologized.

"is okay, just make sure to fix things at home, he walked back to his office.

Walking to take a seat at my desk I heard my name, turned to see who called me and there she was Sophie my bestie.

"How are you doing?

asked Sophie.

"Tired but am a strong girl, I said with a smile.

I worked till seven at night, and just like every other night I rushed home, and just as I was waiting for the train my phone rang.

And yes that one call was the beginning of my pain.

It's a lie I told myself, it must be a dream, but it wasn't cause there laid my dad, and yes he was gone from this earth forever.

I was sad and angry, did he just leave me, my mum, and two younger siblings, did he just pass the baton of responsibility?
