Accepting The Darkness | Chapter 16

Jade holds Aaron back as Oliva stays back at the far end of the dock. She's not that far from us but it's as far as she can go back. "Jade let me go now!" He looks at Oliva "Go". Aaron's anger fills his body as he cuts Jade's face. He screams in pain and hits the dock holding his face. Aaron goes after Oliva as she runs faster than anything Aaron has ever seen. He keeps up with her through the woods until she stops and turns around and looks at Aaron. His anger fills his body again as he sees her and tackles her. Oliva looks at him dead in the eyes as she plays back memories from when his parents died. Aaron backs up screaming, holding his head, Oliva gets up and puts her hand up to him and pulls him off the ground, and let's go once the memories are done playing. He hits the ground holding his head he looks up with his eyes in pain. "What are you?" She looks at him and doesn't say a word. Aaron gets up and walks over to her and looks into her eyes, seeing how scared she is. Oliva takes the chance and plays memories between Rose and him together. Aaron looks around to see what he is around and sees Rose on the ground screaming from the time he cut her face open. Aaron hits his knees and stops the memories. Oliva looks down at him and squats down "I'm not the one to be messed with" She says as she sits there looking at him. Back home, Jade is in the house with Winter. She is crying as she tries to get the bleeding to stop. "You're going to be okay love," She says as she grabs a wet towel and cleans up the cuts a little. "Why did he cut you?" Winter says as she sobs, Jade looks at her and then closes his eyes to rest. Winter's body fills with anger as she leaves the room and walks downstairs waiting for Aaron to come home. He comes home a few hours later with his skin white as a ghost. Winter gets up and slams him into the living room wall "What the hell were you thinking!?" Aaron can't speak or do anything. Winter screams at him asking "Why did you cut Jade's face" He just looks at her in complete silence. "Aaron answer me!" She looks into his eyes and sees a haze in his eyes. She calms down a little. "Aaron, are you okay?" she asks as she lets go and looks at his face as he has no emotions. "Aaron..?" He looks at her and walks around her to the fireplace and sits down and looks around the house as if he had never been there before. "Sis?" Winter looks at Aaron and walks near him "Yeah?" He looks up at her "Who's my real family?" She looks down at him with shock "Aaron what do you mean?" She tilts her head "Your my brother you were born May 21st 18 years ago" Aaron stands up and looks down at her "How come when Oliva played the memories in my head I watched how mom and dad got killed" She looks over at me "Well it's a lot to explain Aaron" He looks over at her, "Winter tell me now" She sighs she goes and sits down on the couch as I follow her and sit down beside her looking her in her eyes wanting the truth. While Winter explains what happened, Jade sleeps as he hears something open his window. It's Oliva. She walks over to him "Are you okay?" he sits up "Yeah I think so" Oliva smiles and sits on the side of the bed "I showed Aaron memories of his real family" Jade looks at her "His real family?" She looks at him "Yes" Jade looks at the door and puts his hand up and it locks the door. "Come here Oliva" She looks at him and crawls on the bed to get to him. "Yeah?" Jade looks at her and puts his arms around her to hug her. Oliva's eyes widen as she smiles "Jade what.." He looks down at her "It's okay, I'm doing this because I see how Hunter treats you" Oliva looks down and her smile fades "I can't get away from him no matter what" Jade puts his hand on her cheek "Don't worry I'll keep you safe" She looks up "Really?" Jade giggles "Yes I will" She sighs with relief as she lays her head on his chest.
