However, their lives take an unexpected turn when they discover that their parents have orchestrated an arranged marriage between them, believing that their differing strengths will create the perfect partnership. "Tell Your Dad I Said That"

Diego and Lucia sat the back seat, the atmosphere tensed.

Lucia shifted closer, the scent of her perfume filling the small space, and as they drove through city streets. "Diego," she began, her voice soft and inviting, "can you tell me about yourself"

He turned his head to look out the window, "I don't really want to talk about it right now" he replied curtly, choosing to focus on the traffic lights instead of her expression.

"Please, I feel like there's so much unsaid between us," she pressed, her tone growing more intimate. "I just think that if we could open up, maybe we could understand each other better."

Diego clenched his jaw. He didn't want to go down this path. The idea of intimacy, coupled with the expectations tied to it, felt suffocating. "Can we just keep this professional?" Diego snapped.

Lucia recoiled slightly, taken aback by his tone. "It doesn't have to be like that, we're getting married soon"

"Married?" he retorted, irritation seeping through his words. "Say that word again, and I'll catch out your tongue for you to feed on" Diego uttered his eyes now blazing.

She sighed, clearly trying to keep her composure. "i just thought we could get…"

"Just thought what?" he cut her off sharply, unable to contain the swirling anger in his chest.

Lucia felt so hurt seeing her he acted cold toward her, this was her first time of meeting him and he's acting like they were some childhood enemies.

Lucia immediately turned away from him, feeling hurt from his harsh words.

"Hey, driver," he called out abruptly, "pull the car over there."

The driver blinked through the rearview mirror but complied, steering the vehicle to a stop at the side of the road. Diego could feel Lucia's confusion and annoyance radiating from her, but he was past the point of caring. He just needed to escape for a moment.

The car came to a halt, and without waiting for the door to fully open, Diego flung it open and stepped out, closing it with a loud bang that reverberated through the quiet afternoon. The sound jolted Lucia, her expression transforming into one of anger as she clenched her fists in her lap.

"Are you kidding me?" she shouted, unfurling the tightness in her voice as she followed him out. "You can't just storm out like that!"

Diego turned to face her, feeling the heat of her anger mingling with his own frustration. "I can do whatever I want," he shot back. "I was never interested in this whole shit in the first place"

"Maybe you should have thought about that before agreeing to come along!" Lucia fired back, her green eyes blazing with indignation. "You think I'm here to make things harder for you? I'm trying to understand you, not push you away!"

"Understand me?" he echoed incredulously, taking a step forward. "You don't even know me! I'm not looking for whatever you think this is!, Tell your I said that" Diego ranted.

If his parents wasn't ready to accept his wishes he would never accept theirs.

"How could you be this cold,we just met today" she continued.

"Do you really think I'm ready for this?" he spat, the bewildering mix of emotions coursing through him. "You think I want to deal with someone who reminds me of everything I'm trying to escape?"

Lucia's posture stiffened, her anger giving way to hurt. "You want to run from me? Fine! But don't delude yourself into thinking that shutting me out will solve your problems. It's just making them worse!" Lucia shouted.

"Hey, Taxi" Diego called stopping a taxi.

Washing him getting into the taxi, Lucia scoffed getting in the car.

He leaned on the seat exhaling sharply. He hadn't spoken to Diana in a while,he was ready to face her fury

The car finally reached her house. As he stepped out, he glanced around, feeling a strange sense of being watched, but shook it off .

He walked up to the door and knocked softly, the sound echoing in the quiet hallway. Moments later, the door creaked open, revealing Diana with a frown etched on her face.

"What do you want, Diego?" she asked brusquely, an edge to her tone that caught him off guard.

"Diana, I—" he started, but her glare silenced him.

"Forget about it. Just go back to where you came from," she said, her voice tight and defensive as she attempted to close the door.

Diego's heart raced; this wasn't how he expected the encounter to go. He quickly shoved his hand against the door, stopping it from closing fully. "I'm sorry," he pleaded, his voice uncharacteristically soft. "It was really important. Something urgent came up."

Diana's expression shifted slightly, but she remained firm. "Diego, I made it clear that it was urgent, but you didn't show up.There's no need to tell you this now; you'll see for yourself soon" she replied.

"What do you mean? What did you do, Diana?" he asked, genuine concern threading through his words.

"I was having a quick nap; see you soon," she said curtly before shutting the door with a definitive thud, leaving Diego standing there, bewildered.

He stepped back, feeling the weight of confusion settle on his shoulders. What was so urgent that she wouldn't explain it to him?

Across the street, Lucia sat in the car closely observing the exchange through the window as the driver expertly captured each moment on her phone. "So this was the whore he was actually seeing," she scoffed, her lips curling into a disdainful smirk. The anger boiling within her gave her a sense of clarity she hadn't felt in days.

"Quick! Let's get out of here, before he notices," she ordered the driver, her voice cold and commanding. The driver nodded, not questioning her authority as he shifted the car into gear and pulled away from the curb.

"Perfect. Now I have everything i need to trap him," she said, her thoughts running wild with possibilities.

"Show me those pictures," she demanded, and the driver hesitated for a moment before pulling his phone from his dashboard and passing it back to her.

Lucia scrolled through the images, a triumphant laugh escaping her lips. "This is better than I thought. He doesn't even realize how tightly he's tangled himself in this mess."

The driver glanced at her in the mirror, curiosity glimmering in his eyes as he processed the situation.

" I'm going to make him wish he hadn't crossed me.

This was the first time a man has rejected her coldly, the thought of it making her blood boil hard.
