The Dungeon (Part three)

I walked down the stairs, into the dungeon. I touched the walls, though it wasn't cold inside the cave but the walls were as cold as ice. I kept descending down the stairs.

YOU'VE REACHED THE FIRST FLOOR OF THE DUNGEON. PREPARE TO ENGAGE.

A message appeared as the stairs came to an end. Prepare to engage what exactly? Maybe Nicholas would help me now? I thought.

"What type of monsters are on this floor?" I asked Nicholas.

No response.

"How many monsters are there?"

No response.

"At least tell me how many monsters are there?"

No response. Again.

"Looks like you weren't kidding when you said no help would be provided once I'm inside the dungeon." I sighed and grabbed the Blades of Calamity from the inventory.

"Let's do this. Come at me you bastards!" I roared. I looked around and saw something creeping on the walls, I couldn't make out what it was since the entire floor was shrouded in darkness. So I did the next best thing.

"STARFIRE BARRAGE!"

I started shooting the fiery bullets at the walls. Whatever it was, there was no chance in hell it would be able evade all the bullets.

There was complete silence for a while inside the cave, maybe it was my imagination, I thought and turned around to look for the monsters somewhere else. Then all of a sudden came the loudest screeching noise I've ever heard. It felt like my ears would start bleeding at any moment. I dropped my swords and covered my ears with my hands. The screeching noise finally faded away and I looked up. The floor wasn't dark anymore, but was illuminated by the blue flames coming out of various touches. The creature or monster whatever it was, was nowhere to be found. I grabbed a torch from the wall and threw it in front of me.

The torch rolled over a few times but before it went out, something reflected the light generated by the flames of the torch. As soon as the torch went out, dozens of centipede like creatures raced towards me. I quickly stepped backwards and grabbed the swords.

I ran towards the centipedes and started slicing them one after another. The sword passed through them as if the creatures were made of cheese. I kept waving my swords and mowing them down. Five minutes later my body got covered in the blue blood of these centipede like creatures. It was fun apart from the fact that now I was smelling like a skunk. I stepped forward but something felt wrong.

I saw something move from the corner of my eyes ace quickly turned around to see those suckers were regenerating. I started slicing them down once again but their numbers increased more and more, and then it hit me, as I cut one of them down in two pieces, both of the parts regenerated and became two more of such creatures. I had enough of this, if physical damage couldn't do the job then magic will.

"HOLY FLAMES!" I roared and the halls were filled with flames burning the centipedes to ashes. "Regenerate from that, suckers!"

So that's how it works, Nice. But it wasn't over yet, I still had to kill the 'floor boss' to proceed to the next floor. Luckily I didn't have to look around for long, it seemed like the insect had been looking for me as well.

I thought those nightscreamers were big, but this one took it to a whole new level, while the other nightscreamers were four to five feet long, this one however was easily 12 to 14 feet long, having blood-red scales covering it's entire body. Too bad I couldn't convert floor bosses into a summon. But then again beggars can't be choosers.

"Nice to meet you, your ugliness." I smirked walking towards the giant insect.

SCREEEEECH!

"Good to know, that you're in a great mood because today is your last day on this planet." I shrugged. "HOLY FLAMES!"

I thought it would be a waste of to slice it only to see if this centipede would regenerate like the others, so I shot a spell at it instead, but to my surprise the spell didn't work on it and simply bounced off the creatures body.

"Not going down easily are you? Looks like I'll have to destroy you from the inside then. But don't worry, I'm not the one who'll do that, who knows what's inside you. Maybe it was time to test those new summons I had acquired a few moments ago." I smiled and summoned 50 out of the 120 nightscreamers I had.

"Now be a good guy and open your disgusting mouth!" I roared and started stabbing it on it's head. I knew the blades wouldn't inflict much damage to the monster, but that wasn't my goal.

SCREECH! The beast howled in pain.

"NOW!" I yelled and the nightscreamers I had summoned, flooded the monster's mouth, and started eating it from inside. Soon the floor boss started squirming and rolling on the ground, then it screeched for the last time and exploded, smearing the entire cave in it's blue blood and flesh.

"At least that's one less job to do." I said wiping the blue blood off my face. "These nightscreamers are more useful than I thought."

A message popped up.
