What the hell is this idiot doing?.. I ask myself as I stare into his eyes while his lips are on mine. He is looking straight into my eyes too and this is crazy.... Instantly rage fills my heart and my head and I push him off me with force before slapping him hard across the face..

" what the actual hell... Are you crazy? " I asked him furiously before eyeing him. He looked like he was trying to understand the situation if things as he was staring blankly and his palm was on his cheek.. Serves him right...

" I .." He started... But I put my hand up to cut him off from speaking..

" don't you ever do that again nor should you come near me.. I don't fucking care about the secret that you know Adam just stay away from me. This is my last warning... " I said and with that, I stomped out of the class angrily and also cursing.

" so you slapped him... " Alex stated blankly as she stared at something in the cafeteria... I looked towards her direction to see Adam walking to his table with an ice block on his cheek... I looked away and back at Alex's disapproval face...

" I didn't slap him, I just hit him on the face " I muttered and buried my face in my food but I could see that Alex was rolling her eyes and frowning...

" you slapped or hit him.. Its the same you still hurt him... Why the hell will you do that in the first place " Alex asked me with her hands on her chest..

" he kissed me " I stated blankly then I put my hamburger into my mouth so I wouldn't have to say more. Of how much I loved his lips on my own...

You see you are attracted to him

" he kissed you?.. Adam fucking Brent Rivers fucking kissed you? " Alex yelled and almost every table in the cafeteria heard her because they were all looking at us, specifically at me and the ladies were shooting me death glares...

I ignore all their looks and turn to look at Adam. He had a smile on his face when he saw me, I looked away...

" would you keep your freaking voice down Alex " I mumbled and stared at her oddly.

" fine... Wait why did he kiss you Betty? ... And wait you couldn't push him off you but you slapped him? " she asked again...

" you know what I'm going to be real with you.. I don't know why I slapped him okay.. I freaked out " I said and frowned before burying my face in my food once again..

" wait Betty... Is that your first kiss? " Alex asked all of a sudden and I shot my eyes up to look at her

" no " I said quickly before averting her gaze.

" shit its really your first kiss.. What the butthole " she yelled again and this time I stood up to cover my mouth.... She licked my palm and stared at me with a smirk..

" you are crazy " I yelled at her and cleaned my hand with her cloth.

" I couldn't breathe you dork " she yelled before panting... I frowned and sat down back on my seat.

" wow.. There is a lot that I don't know.. You haven't had your first kiss? " she asked again and I hit my head with my palm...

" this is driving me really crazy... Just drop it Alex " I said and looked at her with finality...

" Betty I'm.... " she started and then stopped talking and then she opened her mouth widely staring at our left. I slowly turned my head and followed our gaze to a guy, standing right beside our table... He had white hair and he had a smirk on his childishly handsome face.. I didn't just say handsome did I?

" hi " he said and shot us both a big grin.. Alex and I stared at each other and then back at him..

" I'm Cole " he said again and that's when it clicked...this is Cole, oh wow he was really handsome when looking at him closely. I stared at Alex but she wasn't saying anything, she didn't even look like she will talk because she was busy looking at Cole like how I look at chocolate...

" and? " I said and stared at him with a genuine smile on my face

" I want to be friends " he said and smiled, shooting us his dimples.

" why? " I asked him again with a frown.

" is there actually a good reason for making friends except socializing? " he asked with one eye brow up.

" well... " I started

" no there isn't " Alex interrupted me and gave me a scrow.. I eyed her and looked at Cole again.

" so Cole .. I'm Alexandria but you can call me Alex.. " she said and Cole nodded his head.. " this is Elizabeth you can call her Betty " she added.

" I'd rather you don't call me Betty, close friends only " I added and gave him a forced smile.

" oh no worries I won't call you Elizabeth or Betty " he said and smiled.

" then? " Alex and I asked him.

" I will call you candy then sweetheart " Cole said and then he left. I stared at his back oddly and then back at Alex who had the same baffled expression as mine.. Did he just call me candy and leave?...

" what the hell " I whisper yell and face palm my self as Alex burst into laughter..

" candy.. I wish he gave me candy.. He didn't even acknowledge me " she said frowning.

" oh boy. You are dumb " I said and then I ate more of my food. The whole lunch break was filled with me eating everything that was eatable and Alex whining her ass out. Occasionally I would glance towards Adam only to find him looking at me too.. Weird..

As soon as the bell rang signaling the last period, I packed my bag hurriedly and moved out of the view of everyone before finding my way to the library to use my free period.

I entered the library and gave the librarian a smile before walking to my special shelf where I had hidden a lot of books for my leisure time. I bent down and looked at the books, trying to pick one to read for this period.

I finally settled for " A chance at true love " and a smile tugged at my lips, I have been wanting to read this book since but haven't had the chance. I walked to the free roll where there wasn't any people before sitting down. I placed my earpiece in both if my ears before opening the book so I can start reading. You might find it weird but I can listen to music and at the same time read, well because it makes me feel like I'm in the book.

" Betty "

I flipped open another page of the book and another smile formed at my lips as I pictured the guy in the book in my mind.

" Hello "

I laughed out at the funny sentence I just read in the book then looked up to see the puzzled expression on Shawn's face. Oh he must not have seen the earpiece in my ear since my hair was covering it..

" how long have you been standing here? " I asked him as I removed one of the earpiece before pausing my song.

" not long enough. I just got here. " he said and smiled.

" okay I didn't see you there. Was deep in the music and the book too. Anyways what are you doing here ? " I asked him with a grim look.

" well the same thing you are here for " he said raising a book up and then I smiled at him.

" its nice to see someone else who loves reading like me " I said " come on, sit " I said and moved over so he could sit beside me

" thank you " he muttered before sitting and then he smiled again. Normally I wouldn't have asked him to sit but something inside me wanted him to sit down..

" so... " he started and I looked at him.

" so? " I asked him with a questioned look

" well I'm wondering if I'm disturbing your reading " he said and scratched his head..

" trust me you aren't " I said and laughed. " you don't know me, if you are I would have left " I added and he nodded.

" Your laughter is nice. " he said out of the blue and I stared at him before my smile slowly faded.

" thank you " I said and blushed...

" so when did you know you loved reading? " he asked me. Seeing that we were going to start a conversation, I removed the other earpiece from my ear then closed the book but not before noting where I was reading.

" well since I was little... My mum usually read to me " I said. Lies!!.. My dad read to me but I didn't want to talk about him so...

" well I started reading because I felt it was my safe place... I could create anything and anyone I wanted " he said and I stared at him. " does that sound weird? " he asked and frowned..

" no I understand you perfectly well... I like creating people too . " I said and smiled.

" that's cool.. Uhmm do you maybe want to hang out sometimes? " he asked and I frowned...

" never mind..." He muttered and forced a smile..

" I would love to hang out " I find myself saying abruptly and I want to take it back but the cute smile that spreads across his lips make me want to keep my words.

" gee thanks. " he said and then cursed under his breath. I chuckle at his expression before getting up from my chair with my book in my hand.

" no problem... I have to leave now " I said and smile.. He stands up too and face me

" I will text you this evening or tomorrow " he said and scratched his head.

" sure.. " I smile " see you Shawn " I said with a grin before leaving but not before hearing him whisper bye Betty....

As I walk in the hallways, I can't stop thinking.. This new profound friendship, where will it take me,. For the first time in my life I'm looking forward to it.....

" hey sweety how was school today? " mum asked me immediately I closed the door. I walked into the kitchen and hugged her.

" school was school mum but its okay... You know I think I might have made another friend apart from Alex " I said and smiled

" oh and that is? " she asked me as she removed the baking gloves from her hands before placing it on the counter..

" a guy. His name is Shawn mum " I said before sitting at the dinning table , then I took a cookie from the plate in front of me.

" oh a boyfriend. " mum said smiling at me with puppy love eyes.

" no don't be weird mum. He doesn't even know me well enough to love me. We are just friends " I managed to say admits the chewing I was doing.

" it usually starts like that honey... Friends then lovers. Then you'd finally be a mother " she said and I gagged.

" stop mum... I don't think there will be anything called love anytime soon.. " I said before getting up from the chair and then I grabbed mg bag.

" okay okay miss. Any other person I should know about? " mum asked and smiled again.

Wtf! Why will my mind say that?

" no one else mum " I said and smile.

" why don't you freshen up and come back down so we can watch a movie and hang out " she said

" the notebook? " I asked her with my eyes brows raised up

" the notebook " she laughed out before wearing the gloves back.. " let me check the brownies " she said leaving for the oven..

" and I will check into the bathroom " I grinned and walked up the stairs...

As I climbed to my room, the grin on my face faded... And I know why.
