Hug Me Tightly

Li Lingyun smiled when he saw Lin Yan dumbfounded look, he kissed her forehead affectionately and said "Get some rest" and then he left the kitchen.

Lin Yan placed her hands on her forehead in a daze and move her hand to her heart as she said "Why are you beating so fast."

Lin Yan opened her eyes and saw that it was ten in the morning, she widen her eyes as she was surprised she slept for so long. Was it because she was up all night thinking about Li Lingyun or was it because she was drunk?

Lin Yan smiled without even realizing as she remembered last night. All of a sudden, she heard a knock on the door, thinking it was the maid, she said "Come in."

Li Lingyun came in with a food tray and smiled when he saw her surprised expression.

Lin Yan looked at her husband in surprised and asked "Why haven't you gone to work."

"Because I'm the boss and I can go to work anytime I want."

"Huh"

"I asked Gu Wei to drop off Li Xiao at her school."

Lin Yan eyes widened at the mention of Li Xiao and said "I can't believe I overslept, I was supposed to take her school."

Li Lingyun took a pill from the food tray and said "Take this, your head must be hurting."

And truely, Lin Yan head was already hurting. She took the pill and drank the water Li Lingyun handed to her and said "Thank you."

Li Lingyun smiled and said "Eat and get ready."

"Ready? Where are we going?"

"We are not going anywhere, but it seems to me that you have forgotten that your seven days starts today or do you no longer wish to take charge of Greenville hotel."

"Of course I want to."

"Then get ready. I am going to the company, so see you later." Li Lingyun said and left the room.

Lin Yan looked at the closed door and pouted as she said "I can't believe he left just like that, didn't he say he liked me." She looked at the food tray and sighed softly.

Lin Yan got out of the car and looked at the houses, there were seven houses in the district and she have to convince them to move out within a week.

Lin Yan knocked at the first house and and it was a middle age woman who opened for her.

"May I ask who you are looking for?"

Lin Yan looked at the weary look the woman had on and said "I will like to speak to you. May I come in."

The middle age woman nodded and opened the door wide for her to entered.

When Lin Yan entered the house, she noticed there was no furniture. The woman noticed her gaze and said "From the way you are dressed you look like someone that comes from a rich family, I'm sorry there is no furniture but you can sit here." The woman said as she bought out a stool for Lin Yan to sit.

Lin Yan smiled politely and sat down on the stood. "My name is Shen Yi and I came here to talk about the compensation that you have refused to accept."

The woman polite smiled left her face as she said "If that is what you came here to talk about then please leave. You rich people would never understand what it means to cherish a memory. I have had so many memories in this house and you wish for me to throw it all away just for money."

"Does your memory put food on the table for you. I know you have a child, a six years old boy, does your memories pay his fees?" Lin Yan asked coldly.

The woman got angry at Lin Yan question and said "How dare you talk about my son, what do you even know about having a child."

"I have a three years old daughter who would be turning four in a month time but before that I have once lost my kid, I didn't even know if it was a boy or girl, so yes, I do know about having a child. What will your memories do for your child?"

"You don't understand. The only thing he left me was this house, how can I bare to just leave it."

Lin Yan realized that the 'he' she was talking about must be her husband. "The money the Li corporation is offering you is enough to get you a new apartment and to start a business that would help you and child. This house may have memories but that money have a bright future for you and your kid, so you choose what you want. Do you choose your memories or do you choose a bright future for you and your son." Lin Yan said, judging from the woman facial expression, she knew she would break, for a mother, her child is the most important, unless it was someone like her mother.

Not wanting to pressurized the woman too much, Lin Yan gave the woman her card that has both her name and phone number as she said "Call me if you have decided, but remember you only have until ths night to decide. Thank you for letting me in, I will take my leave."

As Lin Yan came out of the woman house, she saw some other group of people waiting for her. They all held banners saying 'We refused to lose our home.'

"We know you are here to convince us to leave our home, but you are wasting your time so just leave us alone."

Lin Yan wanted to reply but before she knew it, they started throwing things at her, mostly egg, until she felt a sharp pain on her head and realized someone threw a stone at her.

Lin Yan used her hand to touch the side of her head and she realized she was bleeding.

When the people saw her bleeding, they stopped throwing things at her and started asking themselves who threw the stone at her.

Lin Yan ignored them all, she walked to her car, entered it and drove away without saying a thing. She called Lin An and asked "Where are you?"

"I'm a little busy right now. I have a meeting with our new investors in five minutes, why? Is something wrong?"

"No, there is nothing wrong, I just wanted to see you."

Lin An scoffed and said "You saw me yesterday didn't you. I never knew you would start to miss me this much. Lin Yan, I have to go, I will call you when I am free."

Lin Yan sighed inside her car, she have to go back home and change her clothes.

When Lin Yan arrived at Sun Villa she did not expect to see Li Lingyun at the living room, drinking coffee while reading something from his laptop.

"Why are you here?" Lin Yan asked.

Li Lingyun who was so immersed in his work and did not notice Shen Yi presence until she spoke up , looked at her and frowned when he saw the state she was in. He kept his laptop at the side, stood up and asked "What happened to you?"

Lin Yan took a step back and said "I'm fine."

Li Lingyun walked closer to her and held her chin and said "You are bleeding, who hurted you?"

"I said I'm fine." Lin Yan said as she remove Li Lingyun hands from her chin.

"Did the people hurt you. I will ask Gu Wei to get all of them arrested."

Lin Yan held his hand and said "Don't do that. If you want to do something for me, then hug me tightly."

Li Lingyun was surprised by her request, but without saying anything else, bought her closer to him and embrace her very tightly as he whispered softly "I'm right here for you."
