21 Chapter 21

Those people under Mr. Suarez never believed that there were drugs like that. They can't accept the fact that their boss only relied on those drugs to run his business. It was impossible.

But after a few days, they finally noticed the drastic change in their boss.

Whenever he have negotiations or business meetings, he's always sweating so hard and stutters all the time. He looked awfully nervous and restless.

Just few days had passed but the statistics of his company already went halfway down. They can't help but look at their boss with pity.

He looked like he's lost his mind. He will sit in a corner and hug his knees while muttering non-stop to himself.

One day, one of his people approached him with a food tray. And while feeding him, he heard his mutterings clearly.

"I shouldn't have agreed… I shouldn't have done it…"

What is he pertaining to? What did he do?

On the other side, days had also passed for our student, Chess.

Something is once again running inside his head. He can't forget about the things he learned just the other day. Especially those about the drugs.

Though it may be called drugs, it's just some experimental medicine that the university started. It increases the ability of the brain to comprehend and make decisions under pressure, and people took it as increase in knowledge. People call it miracle drugs.

10% of the overall successful professionals around the world came from this university. They received teachings and diploma, as well as these drugs, from them. One thing these professionals have in common, they were calm at all times.

Especially the surgeons. Never once did the surgeons from their university fail their surgeries. And it's all thanks to these drugs that they take before every operation.

That's why it's no surprise that many wants to put their hands on the medicine. They all want a stable mind that could think under any circumstances.

Now, Chess is thinking of the reason why the negotiation that day was deemed as sabotage. He never saw anything suspicious… But when he asked Jill, he said that Cale knew the reason behind.

He wanted to ask Cale, but he never had the chance to. Especially when another Friday came.

"Let's all stick to Chess…"

"Yes, let's do that."

Angela, who was originally beside Chess, is now separated by a few steps from him.

She puffed her cheeks in annoyance before forcing her way back to Chess's side.

"You guys! Chess isn't your shield!" she yelled, but no one really listened.

Especially their male classmates.

All of them had clung on both of Chess's arms, looking so pathetic. Chess just scratched his head in return.

"Hey, now… There's really no reason to crowd around me like this…"

Before anyone could counter his words, someone spoke from the front. They all stilled on the spot, not even daring to raise their heads.

"So… we meet again, nerds."

It's the Class C.

Their leader, or who they call captain, is standing in front. He still looked the same, but there was recognition in his eyes especially when he looked at Chess.

"Hurry up and get inside. We'll begin shortly after you change." He instructed.

The Class B students were all silent as they stepped inside the gym. Males and females parted directions on their way to the changing room.

"Do we have to wear those clothes again?" one of them sighed.

He opened his locker and picked his supposed to be PE uniform. But upon unfolding it, he realized that something was different.

He glanced at the others, before glancing back at his uniform.

"Hey, is this real? We've got our proper uniforms…"

"Really?"

Everyone started to pick their own uniforms up, checking if the size and type is right. After a second, all of then cheered in glee.

Their uniforms are finally appropriate for guys! It was no longer the short and tight shorts that they received the last time. Now, they can comfortably wear their PE uniforms and perform the exercises well.

And it's all thanks to Chess!

They all turned to glance at Chess and was about to thank him when they saw the uniform that he was holding.

Everyone turned silent in an instant, examining Chess's expression.

Outside the changing room, the students of Class C was crowding in a corner. Their captain was also one of them.

"Captain, is it really alright to have him wear those again?" one of the guys asked.

Their captain just straightened his back and lifted his chin as if he made the proudest decision of his life before saying, "Of course."

He put in great thought to that decision. At first, he thought that having Chess wear those short shorts were distracting, so he thought of giving him the proper male uniform. But after a little bit of more thinking, he thought that it's such a waste to not see him in that outfit.

Besides, he wants to pay him back for what he did the other day. Until now, his nose still hurts a little.

"They're here." One of them announced.

They immediately dispersed and acted like they were not talking just a while ago. But all their eyes are shifting towards the changing room, anticipating Chess's appearance.

Even the girls did the same. They want to see him again in those female uniform so they could compare themselves and try to achieve his look. But after seeing the boys exit the room, they all were disappointed.

Chess wasn't wearing the short shorts. Instead, he was wearing a jogging pants to match the upper uniform. He still looked pretty, but still, it was a shame.

Where did he get that pants?

A few minutes ago, inside the changing room, all of them stared at the depressed looking Chess.

They all got their proper male uniforms, so why is his still the same?

Chess looked so dejected that it made the others also feel bad. They all dropped their uniforms back on the locker and was about to march and confront the Class C when someone spoke up.

They all turned to look at the person who was fixing the position of his glasses. He had a slight grin on his lips, looking extremely smug.

"Heh. I knew this would happen…" he muttered to himself, stretching his arm to grab something from his gym bag.

Then, he pulled something out making the others part their mouths.

"Ta-da! I've brought a spare pant in case something like last time happened again! Heh! I'm so smart!"

Everyone praised and cheered him, making him widen his smile. He then walked towards Chess and offered him the pants.

"For you, my majesty…"

Chess just smiled and accepted the pants, not giving any feedback on what he addressed him. He thanked his classmate although he wasn't really that dejected about the shorts.

Now, back to the present, the Class C students were disappointed but they can't do anything either. If they force him to remove the pants and change to that short shorts, then they would sound like total perverts.

So, to hide their dismay, they all just rolled their eyes and continued on with their businesses.

Their Captain took the lead once more and started the class. There were no more conflicts and no more throwing of balls. All that's left is the mocking look in their eyes.

Nothing really happened. They did their physical lessons and everything went smoothly. They were almost done with their class when some of the Class C students started to chat.

"Hey, have you heard?" it was one of the girl students.

She turned towards her friend and asked her that question, causing her friend to return a questioning look. The girl inched towards her fiend, whispering into her ears.

"I heard… there is a hidden section in this university."

Chess's ears perked with that. He was close to those girls, so he heard what they were talking about. He even slowed down his movements to completely focus on their conversation.

"What? Hidden section?"

"Yes… the university is hiding a section from us, students." The girl sounded so sure, making the other girl raise her brows.

She topped what she was doing and faced the girl completely. She even crossed her arms around her chest, looking bratty.

"If that's true, then why would they hide it? What's with the section?" she asked, sounding unconvinced.

The other girl glanced sideways, spotting Chess. She pursed her lips before pulling the girl further away.

At that moment, Chess finally stopped all of his movements. He was previously jumping, but now, he just stood on his spot. The captain noticed his sudden halt, making him twitch his brows.

Then, he started walking towards Chess.

"What is it? Is there a problem?" he asked.

There was no response.

"Hey?" he called out once again, but Chess still didn't respond.

The captain was annoyed, but he didn't make a fuss. Instead, he examined Chess's face to see his expression.

Chess was just staring blankly ahead, not moving a single inch. His eyes were also so focused on something. The captain tried to follow his gaze, but he saw nothing ahead. And when he turned to look back on Chess, he was already back to himself.

"Captain? Is there a problem?" he asked the captain with that innocent smile on his lips.

The captain looked weirdly at Chess before shaking his head. Maybe he just saw it wrong, he thought and left.

Chess, on the other hand, turned serious after he turned his back. His eyes following the trail of those two girls earlier.

He stilled earlier because he was focusing his ear on their voices. And upon doing that, he heard every word the girl had said.

"I heard they're called Section – 0 or something like that… Isn't that interesting?"
