A SMALL MISTAKE

"Grandpa?" Hope became nervous when she looked at his expression and extended her hands to grab him.

"What is it? I have never seen you so distraught like this, is it something really bad?" Hope furrowed her brows.

Hope had her mother's eyes, a pair of beautiful blue eyes, as clear as the sky, which reminded grandfather of his daughter. People would often compliment her for it, which Hope got used to and didn't think she was that beautiful if it was not for her eyes.

But the truth was; even without those beautiful bright blue eyes, Hope was gorgeous, she had this lovely feature and warm vibes, anyone would attract to get closer to her, to know her more.

This was her charm, though she didn't really realize it yet…

"I don't know how I should tell you about it," grandfather looked down. He looked ashamed.

"Do you want me to call Daniel?" she asked carefully. Probably, with her older brother here, it would make it easier for grandfather to tell her his concern.

"No." Grandfather immediately rejected the idea.

"He can not know about this." He shook his head and looked at Hope seriously, the way he stared at her hardened the more he hesitated to say it.

"Someone will come for you." After taking a deep breath, grandfather finally uttered these words.

"And he will be your future husband."

BOOM!

Hope was completely taken aback, the news came as a shock. And her voice started trembling.

"Future husband? Grandpa, what do you mean with that?"

"Hey!, what are you thinking about?" Samantha hit her shoulder lightly as Hope didn't respond to her question for a long time.

"Stop spacing out. I know Liam is so cool, but stop staring at him." Glancing in the direction Hope was staring, Samantha couldn't help teasing her.

"I am not." Hope frowned, pulling herself back from the morning conversation with her grandpa.

On the way toward the changing room, she stared at her best friend for a moment, as she had this urge to tell her about that conversation.

But she was hesitant, after all, grandfather didn't give her a detailed explanation about it.

And at that time, Samantha had finished her change for the swimming class. And soon she noticed something weird.

"What is that?" Samantha hissed with her beautiful green eyes widened in surprise, while her other hand pointed at Hope's neck.

"Nothing!" Seeing horror on her expression, Hope immediately covered her mouth, just in case she would start to scream.

Of course, She knew what was in her best friend's mind when she saw this red mark.

"I don't believe that!" Samantha looked around her and was glad that no one paid attention to them.

"You go girl! Who is that lucky man?" She tried to keep her voice down, but she couldn't help but jump up and down excitedly. "How was it? Great?"

Hope turned blush at once, not daring to meet Samantha's gaze. If Samantha knew just a sex dream could get her so exhausted, she would definitely laugh at her until next year!

FWEET …

The gathering whistle saved her. Urging Samantha to rush, Hope finally got some peace. She had asked the teacher for leave before, after all, it was not wise to show too much of her skin now.

Who knew what rumors would arise?

=======================

"Are you okay?" Liam came to approach her at the side of the swimming pool, while the other students were grumbling when they had to follow their teacher's instruction.

"Yes, I am fine," Hope replied in a small voice, feeling a bit excited.

Needless to say, Liam was the popular kid, who wouldn't talk to random people, especially a nerd like her.

"Why don't you go swimming?"

"I don't feel well," Hope replied, no need to let others know the real reason.

"What about you?" she asked casually.

Liam grinned and raised his bandaged leg. "I hurt myself when I play football. I should be more careful next time."

And after that, the conversation went smoothly, though it was Liam, who did the talking, while Hope just responded here and there.

When they were talking about an indie band that apparently both of them liked, Liam said he had got the vocalist's signature on his jacket.

"I bring the jacket with me and it is in the locker room, why don't we go there for a while and I can show you?" Liam suggested enthusiastically.

"Can I?" Hope felt thousands of butterflies stirring in her stomach, but she had to suppress her scream.

This was the first time Liam invited her proactively.

"Oh, come on, the locker room is only five steps away from us." Liam nodded at the door behind them. "Do you want to wait until all the children come and see us together?"

Hope immediately widened her eyes in surprise, which made Liam chuckled.

"Your expression tells me that's a bad idea." He stared at her eyes deeply. "Do you know that you have beautiful eyes?"

Suddenly, he moved closer to her, his lips almost touching the skin of her neck.

Hope bounced back in shock. It was too strange! Hope had a little crush on Liam before, but she was a bit disgusted by his approach now.

She didn't like his perfume, which was a bit pungent to her.

"Thank you, I... let's see the jacket." Not wanting to get him misunderstood, Hope quickened her pace to gain distance.

However, she didn't notice the triumph in Liam's eyes after she turned around.

"Tak!" Just as Hope entered the room, she heard the door was locked.

"Why do you need to lock the door?" Hope immediately turned around and frowned at Liam.

She didn't like to be in a locked room with him alone.

"Oh, come on, stop being so naïve." Liam leaned his back against the door and folded his arms in front of his chest arrogantly.

"What do you mean?" Hope felt an ominous danger came from him, which she hoped would not be true. Looking at the door behind him, she knew immediately that she had zero chance to be able to escape.
