Chapter 2.2

"Everything is so loud. I can hear the thumping heartbeats outside this mansion. I want to rip into them and feed on them, drain them dry. I can smell their blood pulsating through their veins and Bonnie," Orion confessed.

Orion rose from Freya's bed and quietly exited the room, drawn by Bonnie's voice. Following it He navigated through the corridors, guided by the sound of her voice. As he approached, he found Bonnie conversing with Rebekah.

"Orion, you're finally awake!" Bonnie exclaimed, rushing to give Orion a hug. However, when she did, he felt the blood pumping through her veins, and he instinctively pushed her away. The veins under his eyes pulsed as he struggled to control the newly awakened vampiric urges. "Sorry, I'm starving right now, and I don't want to hurt you," Orion explained.

"It's okay, I understand," Bonnie said, picking herself up.

"Ah, look who's finally awake. You've been out for a while," Klaus remarked.

"How long is a while?" Orion asked with curiosity lacing his voice.

"A week," Klaus replied, a cheeky smirk forming on his face.

Orion attempted to use his magic, but to his frustration, nothing happened. "You need to complete the transition in order to use your magic, Orion," Freya explained, holding a thick grimoire in her hand.

Orion took a moment to absorb the information, his gaze shifting between Klaus, Bonnie, and Freya. The realization that he was now part of the supernatural world, grappling with vampiric instincts and the need for blood, weighed heavily on him.

"A week, huh?" Orion muttered, contemplating the time that had passed during his unconscious state. The challenges of navigating this newfound existence became increasingly apparent.

Bonnie, sensing his internal struggle, placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "We're here for you, Orion. You're not alone in this."

Klaus, ever the provocateur, interjected with a smirk, "Welcome to the immortality, Orion. Embrace the chaos; it's what makes life interesting."

"Here you go, mate," Niklaus said, throwing Orion a blood bag. Without hesitation, Orion immediately downed it, but as he finished, a glint of desire crossed his eyes. "As good as that was, I want something fresh, something alive," Orion declared, and with that, he vamped out of the house in pursuit of something more fulfilling.

"Bloody hell, where did Orion go?" Kol asked, holding a couple of blood bags in hand.

"Too late, he left. Now we have an out-of-control Tribrid on the loose that we need to find," Rebekah replied .

(Orion POV)

Everything was overwhelming—the cacophony of cars honking, the chatter of people walking around. I wasn't used to this. Even though I had mind-swapped with a vampire, this experience felt different. This was my body, and it felt weird—strong and invigorated yet starved simultaneously. There was this gnawing sensation in my throat, a hunger barely subsided. The world around me felt too vivid, and I couldn't help but bump into everyone, my senses overloaded with new scents and the heightened brightness of everything.

"Watch where you're going, freak!" Some man called out. Annoyance got the better of me. I turned around, scanning the surroundings. No one else was around. I vamped to the man in a flash, dragging him into a nearby alley. The hunger pulsated within me, and I couldn't resist. I drained him dry, the metallic taste of blood saturating my senses.

As I stepped back from the drained man, a mix of satisfaction and guilt settled within me. The hunger was temporarily appeased. I wasn't in control, and that realization sent a shiver down my spine. The hunger persisted, so I set out to find another meal. God, being a vampire is fantastic.

"Have you found him yet?" Kol asked.

"Not yet, but I'm close to breaking his barriers," Freya replied.

"Well, you don't have to do that. I know someone who can help," Bonnie interjected. "You can come in." As Bonnie said that, Cal entered.

"You're the vampire whose neck I snapped," Kol said.

"Technically, a hybrid. I'm sired to Orion," Cal clarified.

"How is that possible?" Klaus inquired. Cal rolled his eyes. "I can feel him; the sire bond is pulling me towards him. So, follow me if you want to find him."

With a shared glance, the Mikaelson siblings and Bonnie followed as Cal led them to a dingy dive bar by the edge of town. As they approached, Elijah couldn't help but speak up, "Do you smell that? Blood, and a lot of it."

Kol, Elijah, Niklaus, and Finn, and Rebekah vamped into the bar, surprised by what they found. Dead bodies littered the place, and there, in a booth, Orion was draining someone.

"Ah, it seems like you found me," Orion remarked as the Mikaelson siblings and Bonnie entered the bar. "And I see it was Cal who led you my way."

"Oh my god," Bonnie exclaimed as she stepped into the bar, her eyes widening with shock at the sight of so many lifeless bodies scattered around.

"I lost control, and I'm sorry for the mess," Orion apologized sarcastically, gesturing toward the lifeless bodies scattered around.

"Sorry, Orion? You massacred these people," Bonnie said, her voice a mix of disbelief and anger.

"Well, oops, Bons. What do you want me to say, sorry? Well, I'm not. I was hungry, and they all did their job, and it was to feed me," Orion retorted, pointing again to the bodies. Without waiting for a response, he resumed feeding. After a moment, he paused and added, "If you don't mind, let me finish feeding, or else there will be consequences."

Suddenly, he vamped to Orion and snapped his neck, catching him by surprise.

"Well, we now have a temporarily dead tribrid on our hands. What do we do now?" Kol questioned, lifting Orion over his shoulder with care.
