CHP12 Hunters become the Hunted

"Elijah! Its good to see you again brother." Klaus joyfully greeted his brother with a hug who had just arrived.

"Yes it's good to see you as well Niklaus." Elijah spoke with his elegant tone returning the hug.

"And what about me Nik?" Rebekah sarcastically spoke.

Klaus turned towards his sister after greeting Elijah and spoke mockingly, "Oh Rebekah, how wonderful it is to see you again after all this time, I don't know how i managed without your delightful presence."

They walked across to each other and give each other a hug.

"Its good to see you as well sister." He spoke more seriously, as they hugged.

"You better be." Rebekah spoke in a more gentle tone, they parted and she asked, "And where is my beautiful niece at?"

"Don't worry, Sigr's here. She's busy at the moment." Klaus replied to his sister, who nodded in understanding.

"Will it be just us 3 then?" Elijah questioned Klaus.

"I'm afraid so brother, Kol and Finn will not be coming." Klaus replied

"Kol i can understand, he's always up to something. What reason did Finn give?" Elijah asked.

"Some woman he met probably." Rebekah joked in response.

"You would be correct sister, some woman named Sage he recently met." Klaus Replied not surprise that she guessed correctly. Since turning into a vampire Rebekah has always had a keen sense of things.

"Well, the problem shouldn't require all of us Originals anyway." Elijah spoke.

"Lets go get Sigr then we will be on our way. I've got the location of where the hunters are to be staying for the time being." Klaus expressed.

Both Rebekah and Elijah agreed, so they all went to where Klaus and Sigr were staying and picked up Sigr from her task. After some more greetings between them three they all headed to the part of Italy which the hunter were to be staying.

On the way there, Klaus told them everything that he had learned so far about the brotherhood.

"They are growing in strength as they kill vampires, while they've not yet killed any notable figure, only baby vampires. Im not sure as to their potential." Klaus told them

"So they are not that strong?" Rebekah asked Klaus.

"No i could them all in my sleep, literally." Klaus confidently replied, referencing his ability to enter dreams.

"Then why go through all the trouble of bring us along?" Rebekah confused, questioned.

"Well the witch that created them is a pain in my ass, which means she has undoubtably put some type of curse on them, meaning that if i just slaughter the lot of them something bad will happen to me." Klaus answered.

"The witch, you know her?" Elijah asked curiously.

"Of course. Her names Qetsiyah, some big shot from a thousand years ago, who thinks because she was at the top of the food chain then, that she still is." Klaus spoke with disdain.

"So she's dead?" Sigr questioned.

"Unfortunately, I would of loved to have ripped her head of myself but i digress." Klaus spoke in regret, "She's also the ancestor of Ayana." he added as an after thought.

"Ayana ive not thought of her in years." Rebekah said lost in memory.

Elijah simply nodded.

They arrived in the place of Italy, taking homage in the grandest castle that they could without causing confusion as to who these new nobles were. Nobody could be bothered to compel a whole nation.

As they settled into their current lives, which was very quick thanks to them doing this for many years in the past. They lived here in Italy for a grand total of 2 years, they kept it short because of the whole situation with Dalhia and Freya.

During this time they all caught up on the things that had been happening in their lives, reuniting in a sense just without their 2 other brothers. For the past years since they met up to first discuss the threat of Dalhia and the finding of Freya, Klaus had finished the serums to upgrade his siblings and any one he so wished. Through out the years, when he had finished the serum set for his siblings and wife he had administered them as soon as possible. Klaus had also decided that he would never upgrade someone further than being unkillable through any means but magic.

As they blended in to Italian civilization getting close to the hunters, assessing their skills, powers and their knowledge of their situation, they all learned everything they to know before deciding to deal with the threat.

As the months went by Rebekah started to fall in love with the leader of the group, Alexander which was something neither Elijah and Klaus would allow. As the years passed and they started to meet in secret that it when the decision was made to kill them before Rebekah got in any further. Thankfully for Niklaus, the other hunters had no luck wooing his daughter Sigr, who had the decency to stick with the mission and not turn into a love sick fool like his sister.

So one night, after the decision was made to kill the hunters. Elijah, Klaus and Sigr came up with a plan to deal with the group, they decided to not involve Rebekah unsure as to where her allegiance ran.

Knowing that killing one of the hunters would curse you for a notable amount of time, limited the options on how to deal with them permanently. They decided that the best course of action would be to cripple them, then have a compelled human finish the job for them.

They stalked the castle of the hunters one night, ready to kill the lot when they heard a scream, it was Rebekah. They abandoned the stealth and burst into the castle, desperately looking for Rebekah to see if she had been hurt.

What they found though was 4 dead hunters and one devasted Rebekah who was covered in their blood.

"Rebekah! What happened?" Elijah desperately questioned, darting across to his sister to comfort her.

Rebekah tried to answer her brother but all the noise she could make were sobs, they finally made out her words. "H..He tr..ied to.. dag...ger me!" She sobbed

Klaus connected his minds with Elijah and Sigr so they could discuss what happened without causing her to lose control even more than Rebekah currently had.

"Alexander, he must have tried to kill her." Klaus spoke.

"But how? There's no white oak around." Sigr questioned

"She said a dagger, maybe a magical one?" Elijah said

Of course Klaus knew but they didn't know that, so they looked around for a dagger finding 6 of them near the bodies of the hunters.

"White oak ash.." Elijah whispered in thought.

Thanks to the serum Klaus had created White Oak no longer could harm the Originals, which the hunter mustn't of realized.

For the next few hours they cleaned up the bodies, disposing of them by having Klaus control some animals to digest them, he also made sure to nab the daggers for further study. Elijah and Sigr comforted Rebekah mainly, keeping a close eye for any sign of the curse.

After the bodies where disposed they left as quickly as possible abandoning their life in Italy to go and free Rebekah from her curse, going to Klaus's manor in Scotland where a solution will be found.
