Chapter 8 - Happy Birthday

Kat POV

I came back to Mystic Falls after the Scooby Gang screwed everything up.

I drove back Mystic Falls to wish Elena Happy Birthday and nothing else but I stopped at the Mystic Grill.

I sat the bar as the bartender walked over.

Kat: Bourbon.

She nodded as I waited as someone sat beside her.

Kat: Hello Ric.

Ric: What are you doing here Katherine?

Kat: Oh just taking in the screw up you all made in my absence, apparently I'm gloating with the fact that you failed.

Ric nodded.

Ric: Klaus's curse is undone, Stefan is following him around cause of a deal, and Elena is painfully looking for him.

Kat: And she almost died because of you morons so was me leaving a smart move?

Ric: All I know is she needs you, Myra needs you right now Katherine, she's a wreck, won't talk to anyone, doesn't come out of her room unless it's to eat, and she's just hurt.

Kat: Well, Karma always has a way of bitting you in the ass.

Ric: Are you going to help them or not?

Kat: Like I got a choice.

The bartender brought my Bourbon as I drank it all to leave money on the bar to walk out.

I got in the car to head to the boarding house.

As I arrived I heard three voices inside Elena, Caroline, and Tyler so I opened the door to walk in to see boxes full of decorations.

Kat: So, did you miss me?

Everyone turned to me.

Elena: Kat.

Caroline: What are you doing here Katherine.

Tyler: This is her, the one who hurt my sister.

Caroline: That would be the one.

Kat: It we're honest, she hurt me twice, first time I forgave her and I warned her there won't be a second.

Elena: Kat, what are you doing here?

Kat: Came to wish you Happy Birthday and to give you your gift.

Elena: Do you know what's happened?

Kat: Oh I know, I compelled some people to keep watch and to call me on what's been going on but I'm sorry about Jenna Elena, she shouldn't have been put in that situation.

Elena: Thank you.

Kat: And here's your gift.

I walked over with a box.

Elena: Thanks, open it for later but now where is Myra.

Tyler: Why do you wanna know?

Kat: To see how's she doing and to gloat right in front of her that she feels bad while I feel good.

Tyler's eye glowed yellow while mine glowed red.

Kat: Don't even think about it.

Elena: Alright enough you two.

I smirked to walk passed them.

Kat: Elena, Happy Birthday and enjoy your day.

Elena: Thank you but where are you going?

Kat: To get an outfit for Tonight.

I walked out the boarding house to go see Myra.
