The Axe and The Upgrades

Khush: "Perfect, now let's start our preparation."

Father stands up, looking angry, and demands that Khush explain the plan and what he means by "preparation."

Khush: "Father, please give me a moment. I'll explain everything to everyone."

Father: "Calm down, again? I've been calm from the start, but I really don't like the way you said 'preparation'."

Khush: "I understand. Let me just call Mother and Sister first."

10 minutes later, the whole family gathers in the hall.

Mother: "Khush, what's the urgency? Why did you call us?"

Shrasti: "Yeah, I haven't even had my tea yet."

Khush: "I'll tell you, but first, please promise not to panic."

Mother: "I don't know why you're making us promise, but I trust you."

Shrasti: "What did you do?"

Khush: "I didn't do anything."

Father: "Really?"

Khush: "Okay, maybe I did, but it was for our own good."

Khush then explains what happened to everyone.

Shrasti: "So, what you're saying is that the monsters might invade with all their might because you fired one bullet at them?"

Khush: "Yes."

Shrasti: "And why did you fire at them?"

Khush: "To check something."

Father: "To check what?! You have put all of our lives in danger."

Mother: "Calm down. If he did it, he must have done it while thinking of something for our own good. Right?"

Khush: "Of course, Mother. Let me explain why I did it, and why it was for our own good."

Father: "Fine, explain."

Khush: "Father, when I fired the bullet towards the monster camp, what do you think it hit?"

Father: "Probably a building or something. That's why they are coming to kill us."

Khush: "No, it hit a force field."

Shrasti: "It hit a what?"

Khush: "A force field."

Shrasti: "Force field? How do they have a force field?"

Khush: "How would I know."

Mother: "Wait, what's a force field?"

Shrasti: "It's like an invisible shield that stops anything from hitting you."

Father: "How do they have something like that? Is that why you attacked them?"

Khush" Partially yes father. I wanted to check if they have a defence system in place. If they didn't, I thought we can just kill them by crushing them by falling building"

Father: "Then what should we do?"

Khush: "Well, I thought of a plan. You just need to follow everything I say."

Father: "Okay then, what should we do?"

[I then explain the plan to everyone.]

Father: "Are you sure it's safe?"

Khush: "Absolutely, father. The monsters won't attack us today."

Father: "And what makes you so sure?"

Khush: "It takes time for them to prepare for an attack. They'll likely strike at midnight or tomorrow."

Father: "Alright, let's prepare to leave then."

Khush: "Hold on, there's still an issue."

Father: "What problem are you referring to?"

Khush: "We're short on coins."

Father: "True, but do we need them right now?"

Khush: "We do. With over 1000 monsters, many require 0.1 mana or more to defeat. That's why we need more than 15 mana. Does anyone else have any coins left?"

Mother: "I have 1200 coins."

Shrasti: "I've got a solid 2k."

Christine: "I have 2k, which I needed for the messaging service."

Khush: "I've also got 2k, and we can sell that axe."

Mother: "What axe are you talking about?"

Khush: "Oh, I forgot to tell you. The red orc dropped an axe that we can probably sell for coins."

Father: "Alright, let's head downstairs and sell it."

[They go downstairs]

Khush: "There's the axe. Now, how should I sell it? System shop?"

[A window appears]

Khush: "There it is, the sell button."

Khush: "I would like to sell it."

*A light shines around the axe*

*Window says [Appraising item. Item appraised. This item is worth 13k coins. Would you like to sell it?]*

Khush: "Sell it."

*SFX: Chiming sound as the item is sold to the system shop. Crediting 13k coins into your account. Crediting successful.*

Father: "Did you get the coins?"

Khush: "Yes, let me transfer all of it to you. I'm transferring 16.2k to you, not taking anything from Christine or myself, as we need the communication system too."

*SFX: Coins jingling as the transfer is made.*

Father: "Okay, I will upgrade the skill and my mana."

*System message: Upgrade successful. You have spent 4k to upgrade your skill 'Property claim' from 'FF' to 'FF+'. As of the up... - -blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah*

Khush: "As usual, it added two more turrets. Increase the length and width of the house you can claim. Since we are here, let's just use the car to quickly claim the four houses we need for our plan."

Father: "Okay, good idea. By the way, now I have 60 mana, but it will take time to fill it."
