Sweet reality

Yichen attended to all of it in awe.

He was left wowed by Lord Guotin's ability. He was the only one who could detect his father's illness right away.

While everyone in Lin's clan was incapable of detecting the fault in his father's condition; Lord Guotin could detect it just by activating his yellow tier phoenix vision and was quite impressive. He was now filled with stunningness and admiration for Lord Guotin's ability.

'It's been many years that my father remains incurable. Some even said that he will be staying sane for all of his life but my teacher was able to find the root cause of it just like that. He even knows the cure to it.

No wonder he is the Beast God.

There is indeed a hefty amount of difference in the prowess level of a Beast God and the Immortal realm. The highest level in the clan, the chief is only in the second level Immortal realm. That explains the reason for him being incapable to detect my father's condition. The difference in their prowess is unimaginable.'

Yichen nodded his head in approval.

His young heart was now filled with respect and pride only for his teacher.

His eyes widened as he stared at him dazed.

"So kid, what do you say? Does your clan herb stall has this rare herb?"

Lord Guotin asked him with expectancy.

Yichen was immediately wakened by it.

"That, our Lin clan herb stall have only got their hands on the earth tier and sky tier spiritual plants. Since, our earth continent lacks the overall spiritual energy, therefore, not many high tier spiritual plants can grow here"

He explained with perceptivity.

"Hmm. Since this is the case then let's go to get this sky tier yellow cactus flower"

Lord Guotin shared in enthusiasm. He was so ready to cure his father.

As he looked at young Yichen, he saw him already making a face. There was a sign of gloominess flowing around his handsome jade face. It was as if he was stressed by something else.

"Kid, say it what's the matter?"

Lord Guotin asked in wonder.

Yichen cupped his hands and answered indifferently.

"Teacher, it's just that we need not only one but ten sky tier yellow cactus flowers. I bet they will even give it to me. Furthermore, The clansmen will find it suspicious if I suddenly asked for the sky tier plant. They were already reluctant to even give me the earth tier plant"

Because of the indifferent nature of their fellow clansmen, Yichen had already lost hope in them. He didn't even want to go and asked for help.

He didn't believe that those hateful clansmen would carefreely give away the sky tier yellow cactus flower just like that.

It was more likely to be the opposite, instead, they would be alerted unnecessarily and in turn, would make them suspect of what he is going to do with it or even suspicious of him practising cultivation in secret.

Just the thought of it was enough to stress him out.

Because of the surrounding, he grew up in, Yichen became quite mature for his age.

He knew every vile thing, every cunning, every trick, his clansmen do or would do to him.

Since he was aware of it all, he didn't want to gain any more unpleasant attention upon himself.

Seeing the uptight look on his face, Lord Guotin was left reflecting over it. As a mortal teacher, he had to see it all and considered his disciple's case by standing in his shoe. Humans were cunning creatures by nature, unlike the bird clan and he was to make every move wisely and carefully.

After a while of careful consideration, Lord Guotin turned to Yichen.

"Since this is the case then let's go to find this sky tier yellow cactus flower ourselves. This teacher will make sure that your father is heal without anyone's knowledge"

He was dependable when he said those words that Yichen couldn't help but widened his eyes in awe.

"Tell me where is the nearest forest to the Lin Clan?"

His teacher inquired him with passion.

Lord Guotin's words had impacted Yichen much that a sudden sparked of courage seemed to rise deep within him. It was the coolest thing that he had ever heard in his lifetime. While he never thought of leaving his house, his teacher managed to make him see it all in a new light.

Meeting him indeed change his perspective of seeing things and surprised him in many ways.

"There's...one that's on the left of the clan's household. It is a reserve forest area for the Lin clan. We mostly take out the spiritual plant from there"

Yichen explained knowing it all.

"Teacher, don't tell me you are planning to go to the forest to get those sky tier plants?"

He inquired with a wondrous expression on his face.

"Of course, we are going to the forest or what else?! It's not like your Lin clan will give you the sky tier plant."

Yichen was left captivated there. Never in his life did he think of going to the forest to get those herbs himself. It was one daring act, just the thought of it thrilled him.

While he was on cloud nine, Lord Guotin meet him in the eye and explained strictly, "Once the night falls, we will sneakily leave out for your clan's forest. I am sure that there will be enough sky tier yellow cactus flower there to heal your father's disease."

He then grinned in devilishness.

Lord Guotin was all over the moon just by the thought that he would finally cure this lad's father's disease and taught him cultivation.

Yichen stared long at his teacher in surprise. Just the thought of sneaking out had awoken his young adventurous self that seemed to have long hidden. His teacher was like a ray of sunshine in his dark gloomy life. It was like he was born again.

He now saw his teacher as a God-like figure, the reliable one whom he could trust and depend upon. To him, Lord Guotin became his sun which made his tiny seed of hope sprout in the wilderness. Since the teacher is willing to go to the forest, Yichen didn't wait to think of it.

"Yichen will follow the teacher's wishes"

He obeyed at that instant.

Lord Guotin nodded his head at it.

"Good. Good. Since it's decided we will leave at the night time. As for now, young lad, you can clean up this mess"

He looked around as he made his comment.

"This Lord Guotin is ain't able to bear the stench smell. If this goes on I am afraid that this Lord will pass out even before going to the forest"

He concluded awfully.

"Err...."

Yichen turned to look around and scratched his head in hesitancy.

"Yichen will immediately clean up the place."

He assured him.

Guotin shooked his head at it.

"Good. Good. Then I will go back and recuperate. This Lord's energy has been drained quite a lot and needs rest. Wake me up when it's time to go."

Yichen shooked his head at it.

With it, Lord Guotin quickly flew inside the interspatial pendant in his pocket and disappeared from there.

Soon after his teacher was gone, Yichen began to clean up the whole mess.

He collected those scattered clothes and put them back in their proper place. He then swept the floor and mopped it.

While he was busy mopping the floor; he suddenly realised that his hands were all healed.

'What the hell happened?! I am sure that my hands were all bruised because of the constant beating on the bamboo'

It was like a miracle healing. There was not even a single sign of it being hurt.

While he was amazed; he soon remembered his sore eyes as well. It was serious upto the point of not being able to open them properly.

Now there was no problem with his eyes! He was struck dumb there.

'What in the world had happened?! Where are all those bruises?!'

As quickly as he tapped onto his face; he didn't feel any pain nor there were any bruises or scratches left on it.

Amazed by it all, Yichen hurried to look at the mirror.

There he saw his face was totally fine.

All of the scars and bruises on his face were completely gone like magic.

'Was it my teacher that healed me?'

He turned to look at his pocket in awe.

'Indeed it must be him that cures me. Because no one in the Lin clan didn't care enough to spare their internal energy to heal me.'

Convinced with it, Yichen beamed in contentment.

"Thank You, teacher."

He thanked him with a handsome smile on his face. His teacher was indeed the best thing that had ever happened to him.

With a pleasant face, Yichen went back to his work and finished mopping the entire floor of the house. The room sparkled and looked fresh and clean.

He was left relieved by it. His teacher would now be able to stay there without worries.

Happy with it, he walked back to his bedchamber and threw himself onto it. He turned to rest in peace.

It was quite relaxing to lay down on his cosy bed after a series of surprising events. Never did he think that a Phoenix Beast God would come to his rescue and become his teacher. Everything that happened felt so unreal like a sweet fantasy coming into reality.
