Stupid!!

"Life is so full of randomness---"

When and how the world we know will change we don't even know.

"Things might go wrong, but there are also chances that things will change for the better."

"What you have to do is just hang in there and keep on trying."

"That is what people say; But is it really true?"

"Is it really easy to just hang in there?"

"Is it really that easy to keep on trying and failing every time?"

"I don't know."

"There are so many things that contradict with each other; it doesn't make any sense at all.

But,

What we can do, is just keep our hope"

"Hope that things will change..."

"And that's the most amazing thing about life."

"If you have a slight hope, you can even win the whole world"

"So...I will never lose hope."

"Never had, never will."

Those were my thoughts when I was fighting with my other self, who wanted to be broken down---

Wanted to end all the frustrations and sufferings—

Wanted to finish...both of our life.

"I kept on fighting it with my hope, but even so, I was slowly considering the possibilities."

"Possibilities for a full stop."

"But now, I don't have to."

"My desire has already been fulfilled."

"My void is already filling."

"Life sure is full of surprise"

I was thinking all this when I was going to the hospital on an ambulance along with her. She was sitting next to a window, on the same row of mine.

I called the ambulance at the dawn, after spending the whole night on the platform. That ambulance driver helped us to board on while asking lots of questions.

I somehow managed to blow out his curiosity by vaguely answering him.

But, she remained silent for the whole time.

She was looking outside through the window of the car, looking at the people.

Her black long hairs were fluttering gently on the wind.

She might have been processing the whole series of incidents that happened so fast...

Then I mumbled to myself while looking at her--

"She chose to save me, now it's my turn to save her".

"And I will."

"It's my promise to you...and myself."

I didn't want to disturb her, so I also remained silent and also started to view the outside through the window.

When we reached the hospital, it was then 6:30 am.

It took nearly 40 minutes from the station to reach there.

Though the hospital was small it looked nice and clean. There was a beautiful garden around it with soft green grasses. Some old people were jogging in there and some were sitting on benches.

Then the ambulance driver called a nurse. A nurse came and gave her a shoulder, to help her walk.

All of us entered the main building.

Then the nurse, along with her, started walking slowly toward the right wing of the main building.

After taking some steps, she stopped and looked at me

I smiled and wave my hand a little.

Didn't know why but she let out a small sigh and then smiled.

Then I guessed what she mumbled to herself by noticing the movements of her lips—

"Stupid!"

"Huh..?"

"Is she angry at me for something?"

"But, she smiled..."

I didn't ask her about that as she was already started walking with the nurse.

"You are a lucky guy! Your girlfriend sure is cute." That driver suddenly told me while laughing.

"Um...Ye-yeah. She sure is..."

I was sure that my face had already become a tomato. I never had to go through this kind of situation, so, that 'girlfriend' word was a bit much for me.

I kept my bag in the luggage counter and went to the doctor's chamber on the left wing, along with the driver.

There I lie down on a bed.

"Well, I will go now," that driver said to me.

"Thanks for your help"

"Don't mention it," he said with a smile and left the room.

After some time, a doctor came and treated my wound. He removed the handkerchief and put a bandage on my forehead.

Then the doctor gave me some medicine and told me to rest there for an hour.

And then the doctor left.

It took nearly half of an hour.

I took back the handkerchief that was bound on my head. It was just a cheap girly handkerchief. I stared at it for a while and then put it inside my pocket.

After taking the medicine, I lie down on the bed again and started thinking about various things, but mainly one thing; you know what it is.

"Why did she call me stupid?"

"Did I do something weird?"

Then suddenly a thought came to me and my heart beat rose.

"What if she...leaves...now?"

"I didn't ask for her contact no."

"I don't know where she lives..."

"......"

"Wait a minute, how can I forget this?"

"I FREAKING DIDN'T EVEN KNOW HER NAME!!!!!"

I instantly jumped out of the bed and started running.

There were also two other patients lying on the next two beds of mine. They shouted at me—

"Hey don't run like th---"

I could not hear that completely as I had already left the room and was running towards the right wing.

"Please, don't just leave now..." I kept on thinking that while running.

When I reached the room that the nurse took her to, I started searching for her with my eyes.

There were five patients in that room but she was not there.

But, the nurse was there.

So, I hurriedly asked her, "Sister, where did the girl go who came with me?"

"She left the room nearly 15 minutes ago," the nurse said.

"Thank you," then I hurriedly started running back to the join of the two wings"

"Did... she really...left?" I mumbled to myself.

My heart was reaching its limit again...

I was feeling like...the world is about to get destroyed.

I hurriedly took my bag from the counter asked the person in charge—

"Sir, have you seen a girl nearly the same age of mine going outside?"

After thinking for a while, he replied, "...yeah, nearly 10 minutes ago."

"Thank you, thank you very much."

I again started running towards the main door of the hospital.

"I am so stupid!!"

On the outside, I started to search for her.

There she was.

She was sitting on the green soft grass under the shadow of a mango tree. She was playing with a small kitty.

Then I let out a sigh of relief.

I ran towards her. I started to take deep breaths as I had nearly lost all of my stamina.

She looked at me and started smiling.

I also understood the reason, so I let out a sigh.

"You need to learn a lot," she said.

"Yeah..."

Then we both started to lough.

But, suddenly I started to feel pain on my head. My eyes started to become cloudy.

"I really should not have run that fast," I thought and touched my wound.

My wound might have opened, as my hand was getting wet.

I could not stand anymore...

Then someone's soft hand grabbed my shoulder and was saying something to me, but I could not hear it either.

Then I lost my consciousness.

When I opened my eyes it was completely dark.

It might be already midnight.

I was lying on a hospital bed.

At first, I could not see anything; It took some minutes for my eye to adjust.

A soft ray of moonlight was coming through the window near my head and was filling up the whole room.

A little chilly air was also coming along the moonlight.

This room was not the one that I was before. It was a different one.

And then I saw her, She was sitting on a chair beside my bed.

She was crying silently holding my bag.

I was feeling kind of weak, so I speak to her in a low voice—

"Why are you crying?"

Hearing my voice she suddenly stood up holding my bag.

Tears kept on flowing from her eyes. At first, she was trying to hide her face with the bag, but she put it down afterwards.

"I am really sorry!!!" she said in a really apologetic tone while wiping her eyes.

"I am totally fine, don't worry about it," I said.

But, her tears didn't stop.

She might have been really worried; I could not help but feel happy.

Then I sat by myself on the bed. I was already getting back my strength.

Then I held her hand and made her sit beside me.

"I am so stupid!! I should not have done that!!" she said.

Then I moved my hand toward her face and wiped her tears.

"Hey, don't cry."

"We both are stupid, that's why we are here," I answered while smiling.

She was totally awestruck after that, like she didn't know what to say. She just kept on staring at my eyes.

Then it was my time to be shocked.

She suddenly hugged me, keeping her face on my chest.

"Wh...oa!!" I exclaimed and was about to jump from the bed.

If there were any cardiogram connected to me, it might have made a new Guinness record!!

Seeing my reaction, she started to laugh, but she didn't let me go.

"Hehe...stupid," she said.

"Yeah..." I sighed. I was laughing at my own reaction in my mind.

Then I somehow managed to gather courage and hug her back gently.

"So, what is your name?" I asked.

"Annie, Annie William"

"Ah, finally, now I know," I thought to myself.

"Won't you tell me yours?" she asked.

"Oh, sorry! I am Oliver Jones."

"You should tell your name before you ask someone's, stupid mister!!" She said while giggling.

"Got it. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, stupid Miss." I said in response.

"Hehe..."
