Chapter 21 Sacrifices

Of course, the test went well, as expected of GoG. Now the nine of them are in the practice room with Ji Hoon.

"You girls performed well just now, but there's something that I need to address now to avoid any trouble in the future. First, Yeon Tae, Cassie, Young Mi, Kyu Sun and Hyun Seo, come with me."

Ji Hoon brings them to the corner of the room.

"Do you know why I specifically picked the five of you?" The girls shake their heads.

"Because you did too well vocally, and that might be a problem going forward as an 'idol group'. Understand that being a member of an idol group is not about one person, you rise as one you fall as one."

"What do you mean sunbaenim?" Yeon Tae asked.

"For example, the song you girls performed just now, no doubt it was good, but as an audience, you can clearly see the difference of the skill level in singing, especially the five of you. By doing too well, you are gonna outshine the other four members in the group, and that's not good long term. Balance is the key in maintaining a healthy relationship in an idol group."

"He left awhile ago after you said let Yeon Tae do it." Hyun Seo raises her hand and answers that question.

"As expected, it's gotta be Yeon Tae!" Ji Hoon nods his head satisfyingly on his way to the studio.

"Now, I need to prepare the OSTs for my upcoming drama. I'm gonna need Soo Yeon's help too, let's ask her to come here."

Five minutes later, Soo Yeon brought the trio here with her to the studio.

"They wanna see how a song is recorded so..."

"Let's start with the BGM first, here are the notes. You take the piano, I'll take the violin."

"Because the all the songs are so depressing..." Emmy answered.

"Even if I understood none of them, I still know it was depressing." Taylor said so.

Kristy nods her head.

"Here, tissues. I will take the tapes to the editor, see you later."

"Don't you think he lookes so cool when he was singing?" Taylor asked.

"Right, it's like he was a different person." Kristy agreed.

"Did I just bring two other competitions here myself?!" Emmy thought secretly.

"This is the Osts and Bgm for the upcoming drama. How did everything go?"

"We signed a contract with CBC (Colrean Broadcasting Channel), the drama will air during the weekends. About the casting, we got everyone on board except the main actress, she said she needs to think about it because she might not make it because she is currently filming another drama."

"Well, we still have a lot of time, I still have to attend a movie premiere and our family concert is happening soon, we will start filming the drama after all that."

"Oh right, both Tay and GoG will be debuting during the concert. Let's keep it as a surprise for the fans."

"Understood."
