Adrien appeared and leaned on the door, saying, "I've called the doctor. He told me she fainted from stress. Here are some medicines with detailed instructions on when to take them. I've also prepared some food for her. The doctor mentioned she might feel hungry when she wakes up. Oh, and if she has a headache or catches a cold, the medicine is in this box."
"Thanks for the details. Can I take her back now?" Dylan replied, trying to leave. Adrien, however, couldn't resist teasing him further. "You haven't told me what happened between you two," he asked. Dylan halted halfway and replied, "I'll tell you later, okay? I'm going now." He forced a smile.
"As you wish," Adrien said, pausing, then added a warning, "Don't you dare to hurt her again. If that happens, I'll take her away from you." Dylan smiled and replied, "Let's see what the future holds."
"Okay, but what should I call you at college, 'Dylan' or 'Emir'?" Adrien asked with a playful smile.
"You can call me by my real name, 'Dylan,'" he answered. "What about when we talk in front of her?" Adrien inquired.
"Now that she knows everything, you can call me Dylan. But for you, I think 'Sir Dylan' is more appropriate."
"Why do we need to be so formal, considering we're childhood friends?" Adrien argued.
"But I am senior in this industry," Dylan added as he carefully placed Ember in the car seat.
"Goodnight, bro," Adrien said, and Dylan replied with a "Goodnight" before checking if Ember was sitting comfortably. "Let's go home," Dylan said, starting the car.
As they drove away, Ember murmured in her sleep, "Why didn't you tell me? Why?" A tear rolled down her cheek, and Dylan gently wiped it away. "I'm sorry for not telling you," he whispered, continuing the journey back home.
They reached home, and Dylan picked Ember up in his arms, heading to the room. He told Nana, "Tell Butler Feng to come back, tell him I found her." He took her directly to her room and gently laid her down.
When he noticed what Ember was wearing, he exclaimed, "What is she wearing? These are Adrein's clothes! That brat dared to do this to tease me and make Ember uncomfortable." Emir became irritated upon seeing Ember in Adrein's clothes. He went back and asked Nana, "Can you change her clothes? Hers are all wet." Nana replied, "Okay," and proceeded to change Ember's clothes. "It's done. I think you should change yours too, or you will catch a cold."
"Okay, I will," Dylan said as he came closer to sit beside Ember. He held her hand gently, his emotions overwhelming him. "I really love you. I'm not playing with your feelings. I truly, deeply love you," he confessed, his eyes welling up with tears. But when he heard Ember's unconscious voice reply, "I love you too," he couldn't hold back his emotions any longer. He burst into tears and cried hard, forcing himself to stop. "I promise I will not hurt you anymore. You can truly trust me from now on," he said, kissing her knuckles.
"Knock, knock!" came a knock on the door, and Dylan quickly wiped away his tears. "Who is it?" he asked. "It's me, Butler Feng."
"Coming," Dylan replied and went outside to talk to Butler Feng. "What happened?"
"Sir, this is footage from the street. I thought you might need to see it. It's a relief that she's alright now," Butler Feng said.
"Yeah, she's fine. You go and rest. It's too late," Dylan said, bidding goodnight to Butler Feng.
Dylan returned to Ember's room, but something still made him uneasy. He changed into fresh clothes and took a quick shower in Ember's bathroom. When he came back and saw her sleeping comfortably in her bed, he felt a sense of relief wash over him. However, he couldn't bear the thought of leaving her alone. He pondered what might happen if he woke up and she was not there. So, he decided to sleep on the sofa near her bed, locking the door and ensuring the key was well hidden.
