After ending his call, Emir noticed Ember peeking at him from behind the plants. He announced in a loud voice, "It's done!"
Ember timidly approached him, her face displaying hesitance. "Who were you talking to?" she asked.
Emir leaned in close, whispering in her ear, "Are you getting jealous?"
"Why should I be?" Ember replied, trying to sound nonchalant.
He affectionately patted her head and said, "Okay, I won't tease you anymore. Let's go."
"Where are we going?" Ember inquired, curiosity piqued.
"You'll find out. Just come with me," Emir responded mysteriously, as he often did when it came to their outings.
As they descended the stairs, Ember suddenly realized that they were in Emir's house. She stopped in her tracks and crossed her arms over her chest.
"Emir, you...," she began, a frown creasing her brow.
Emir turned to her, his expression filled with guilt. "What is it?"
"You didn't tell me this was on your house terrace," Ember accused, her eyes narrowing.
Emir's face flushed with guilt. "Actually, I can explain..."
"What can you explain?" Ember demanded, her gaze fixed on him.
"Actually, when I remembered that I confessed my feelings to you yesterday, I felt like I needed to do something special," Emir explained, looking somewhat sheepish.
"But we could have just taken the stairs to get up there, right?" Ember asked, her frown deepening.
Emir sighed and admitted, "Yes, you're right. But I wanted our first date to be memorable, and I didn't have time to book a restaurant on short notice, so I decided to do this."
Ember giggled and said, "You're too cute," as she reached up to playfully pinch his cheeks. She couldn't quite reach, so she stood on her tiptoes to do so. They both laughed at the amusing situation, but Ember lost her balance and ended up falling against Emir's chest. He helped her regain her footing and cleared his throat, saying, "Ahem! Let's get in the car."
