Nightfall

A couple of hours had passed now. Wraith placed his forehead against the tree, a semi-crazed smile on his face.

'So I really am in the past! After seeing all the people I loved... just gone, I thought I'd lose myself to my tyranny. This second chance...'

Wraith turned around, his back firm against the tree. He slipped to the ground, his face in his hands. Soft sobbing and laughter echoed from his position as he huddled against the tree.

"Have you given up, young lad?"

Wraith peered through his fingers, a smile growing on his lips. Still staring between one set of fingers, his other arm raised slowly. Just as it reached a noticeable dent in the tree, his arm flung back.

"Arm of the Anaconda, backhand style."

With those words, and a mighty crack, the tree came hurtling to the ground behind Wraith. Roca's eyes widened in surprise as he stepped closer to Wraith.

"Just about two hours... the sun hasn't even begun to set! Haha... just what kind of monster have I found?!"

"Wraith."

Roca eyed Wraith. His thoughts spiraling.

'So he is the one she spoke of. Remarkable abilities, but this appearance... it just doesn't sit right.'

"Young Wraith, if you would be so kind as to get to your feet. You've thoroughly impressed me, so I wish to bestow upon you your gift."

'Congratulations on completing the hidden quest: God's Impressive Work

Reward: ???'

Wraith smiled as he got to his feet. This hidden quest was one that was unheard of, as Wraith never got the orb in the previous timeline. It was sold off to an NPC, which couldn't even use it.

Roca held out his hand, a small box in it.

"Now, as I'm sure you're aware, being a powerful Master of the Fist, those like us can dual wield our fist type weapons... yet what of our off-hand?"

Wraith's jaw dropped.

"You mean a sigil?! They're incredibly difficult to find... I planned on making one eventually, but this..."

Roca titled his head.

"Make one?"

"Ah yes. Sufficient skill in alchemy and enchanting can create a base for a sigil. Pain in the ass to make one fully, plus they're weaker than anything someone could actually find, but yea. I can make one, somewhere down the line."

"Hahaha! My boy, are you trying to impress this old fool? To make a sigil... I ask that you show me your finished work one of these days! Sigils are our lifeblood, similar to the different arrows an archer may use, or the different shields a warrior would wield. This sigil, is Nightfall."

The box slipped into Wraith's hands, but before he could do more, Roca gripped his shoulder.

"This sigil is a powerful piece of equipment. Do not shame me once you wear this, and please, promise me you'll show me the workings of a young Sigil maker!"

With a proud nod, Wraith acquiesced to the old god. In his previous life, Wraith had made a few dozen Sigils, each more powerful than the last.

Roca began to leave, his gait in an excited and over the top way. Wraith watched him go, his hands trembling. He knew that none of his sigils would be able to compare to Nightfall, but he still wanted to try.

Opening the box, a bright violet light erupted from it.

'So it's like a mini chest?'

The box faded as a small scroll fell into his hands. Before he could open it, a broadcast went off.

'SERVER-WIDE ANNOUNCEMENT

Congratulations Adventurer Wraith on getting the first piece of Expert Tier equipment!

Reward: 2000 Gold! 2 Crafting Skill Books!'

Wraith rubbed his eyes, re-reading the notice.

'I don't remember this before... did Roca make this happen?'

Sure enough, Wraith had two books and the gold stashed in his inventory. In his hands, the scroll unfolded. This revealed a beautiful drawing of a crescent moon and various details arrayed around it.

Wraith simply shrugged, the money and skill books were things he had plenty of in his last life... but Nightfall was brand new.

'Sigil: Nightfall (Tier X Expert Sigil) G

+300% Atk Speed (When using Fist type weapons)

+200% Move Speed (When using Fist type weapons)

+1500 HP

+200 MP

+150 Atk (When using Fist type weapons)

Passive: Player stats double after night falls. Plus regen. (Activates only during combat. Can trigger even if you are targeted by hidden enemies.)

Passive: Defense matches offense.

Active: Nightfall: Gain increased attack speed (up to 10k%) Depends on Luck. Duration: 30 secs. Cooldown: 6 hrs'

Wraith blinked slightly, cause his eyes were definitely lying.

"This thing... is too good. How the fuck do you get better than this? It's even got the G! It's a growth item! And that active skill... with my luck my enemies are toast. Just need some decent weapons though."

Wraith equipped Nightfall, the sigil now appearing on his skin. Under his clothes, the crescent moon had formed on his back with two more on his wrists. The etchings and design markings connected the three moons, as well as decorated his back. Just like a tribal tattoo.

Wraith could already feel the change in his body, his speed making him zip between the trees.

"This is almost scary. When I get stronger, it'll grow too. This'll be too good."

Wraith looked up into the sky, watching as the sun finally began to descend.

"Around noon now. Time in here was three to one, right? It's only about ten then?"

With excitement in his eyes, Wraith began to head back for the starter village. This village had a special questline that he wanted to get started with.

---

Barely ten minutes passed by when he finally reentered the starter village. This was due to that incredibly movement speed boost, but also due to the scant amount of hindrances on his way back. After all, no players were sent in that direction.

Wraith sighed lightly, his mind wandering back to his inventory.

"Guess learning the skills should be fine now..."

In his hands, appeared two thick red tomes. This signified the tradeskill type of skills. Popping them both open, Wraith was given a prompt to choose whichever skill he wanted.

'Novice Alchemy

Novice Blacksmithing

Novice Enchanting'

His eyes landed on these three, the staple tradeskills for any adventurer.

'Congratulations on learning:

Novice Alchemy

Novice Blacksmithing'

"I'll learn enchanting later. It's incredibly useful, but blacksmithing will help sooner."

---

"So you mean to say... you're better than my Wraith?"

A dark and sadistic glint flashed in Eliza's eyes. She had a thin blade pressed against the throat of a cocky pretty boy. He coughed and backed away.

"Shit. The fuck is wrong with this bitch?"

He began to run off, leaving Eliza to her fantasies again.

"Why can't I find anyone that sees Wraith the way I do? They must revere him... and desire him, but they must know their places! He's above all and can only bring us up to him, if he so desires."

She giggled to herself, earning the nickname Crazed Wanderer from passerby.
