58 World Noble Arrives

Hidden in the forest about 200 meters away from Luffy and Ace who were in their treehouse, Orion, Roman and Shaya were stood watching and talking amongst themselves. Orion looked at Shaya and Roman as he repeated.

"Remember don't let Ace or Luffy find out your following them and don't help them unless they absolutely need it, this should be a good test on how far they've come over the past 3 weeks."

Shaya nodded as she replied

"We know, you're the one who's got the harder task this time. Protecting Sabo from the Celestial Dragon is easy enough, but we don't know who they'll have on the ship protecting the noble this time. After killing a noble last time, they're going to have at least someone on the level of a Vice-Admiral, and as their last sighting of you was in East Blue, they might have an Admiral level protecting the noble this time on the off chance they run in to you."

Ori nodded as he said.

"It's fine, I don't intend to fight it out with them. I just need to save Sabo when the time comes and escape with him!"

Shaya still didn't seem to ecstatic with the plan.

"Are you sure all this is worth it just to invite him to join the crew?"

Ori nodded without hesitation.

"Definitely! You saw how fast he broke through to the Staff Student boundary. Granted he's been fighting with a pipe for a staff for years but this was the first time he ever had any form of formal training, his talent is undeniable.

All three of them are naturally gifted. Luffy's the most creative being able to create a technique almost off the cuff to suit his needs.

Ace's the most gifted physically, seeing how fast he improved when it came to the physical training was definitely surprising. Even though he and Sabo are at the same level right now, as long as they carried on doing the same training, Ace would definitely create a gap that would only widen over time.

But without a doubt, Sabo's got the highest perception, maybe even more so than me! He'll definitely make an amazing member of the crew."

Both Shaya and Roman couldn't argue with that logic, they were both pleasantly surprised at how fast Sabo improved with the staff during his training and knew given time and proper training his strength would grow to become frightening.

Shaya no longer tried to dissuade him, instead she turned to Roman and said.

"Sabo was taken back to his family by that Bluejam 2 nights ago. He's planning on making his escape tonight, the same time as the fire. Roman after saving as many of the citizens in Grey Terminal as possible make sure to stay at the spot we decided. From there you'll be able to keep an eye on both Ori and I to make an entrance on the off chance an unforeseen circumstance arises."

Roman nodded before he and Ori disappeared into the forest to accomplish their tasks.

That night Sabo wrote a letter to Luffy and Ace saying explaining that he couldn't bare to live here anymore where he'll always be under the thumb of his parents and that he'll see them in the future after they've set sail.

He then snuck out of his families compound and made his way to the docks. He was able to evade detection as most people were already at the docks awaiting the arrivals of the Celestial Dragons.

Whilst he was at the docks searching for a ship to steal, the fire set by the nobles in Grey Terminal was well underway. Thankfully Roman had started evacuating civilians before the fire started.

Elsewhere Ace and Luffy were in the middle of a fierce battle against the Bluejam pirates surrounded by raging flames.

Shaya was watching their fight calmly from a distance.

"That Bluejam is a little stronger than we originally thought…

This should be interesting!"

As she said that she noticed Dadan, the boy's guardian and her group of mountain bandits approaching.

Seeing that, she moved like a flash and appeared a couple hundred meters in the opposite direction from where the boys were fighting.

"Help, help, please help me. There are 2 boys stuck unconscious about a mile that way and I can't get them out by myself. Please help them!"

After sending Dadan and her men in the wrong direction, she quietly slipped away without anyone noticing and went back to watch the fight.

Back on the docks, all the citizens of the town were cheering the arrival of the Celestial Dragons until one of them noticed a small ship that had set sail.

"Ehh who's ship is that?"

"Why is someone setting sail now of all time?"

"Are they stupid, don't they know the Celestial Dragons are coming?"

"Their not only stupid, they're also suicidal!"

"Wait… It's a child on the ship! What's he doing, that poor child!"

On the giant warship sailing towards Dawn Island, an older man with a hairstyle that curled upward, a black moustache and a fluffy grey beard who was wearing a white suit, black shades and a cube bubble over his head saw the small ship that was sailing in his path.

"Ehh which bastard dares to get in my way?! Sakazuki get rid of that insect!"

A tall man in a red suit, black gloves, white cap that said "Marine" on and a white Marine jacket hung on his shoulders with the rank Admiral printed on the back took a step forward and punched out as a fist of magma shot towards the ship!

On a roof in town Orion's expression changed when he noticed who was on the ship protecting the World Noble.

"Shit, not good!"

As he said that he disappeared with the wind appearing in front of the boat sword in hand. He easily cut the magma fist in two as he stared at the man who generated the attack.

"Ori… You're here?!"

Sabo was shocked at the appearance of Orion but Orion didn't have time to focus on Sabo at that moment.

"Admiral Akainu… Attacking a child? how fitting of a marine admiral!"

The man who attacked was one of the three Marine Admirals, Sakazuki AKA Akainu! When he saw who it was blocked his attack, a hint of surprise could be seen which quickly turned into killing intent.

"Orion the Heavenly Demon, Captain of the Heavenly Demon Pirates!"

Orion smiled as he eyed the Admiral in front of him wearily.

"You've heard of me and my crew, I'm flattered!"

Akainu looked indifferently at the young man stood in front of him as he replied emotionlessly.

"How can I not? 9 years ago you killed a Celestial Dragon and 2 months ago you single handedly killed a top CP0 operative, whilst your crew took care of several high ranking marines. You have a knack for stirring up trouble wherever you go. After that your bounty alone was raised to £738,000,000!

We weren't sure you'd actually be stupid enough to get in the way of another World Noble but after the recent sighting of you in East Blue and your known history with the Celestial Dragon's we couldn't afford to take any chances, so I was sent to take your head if you were to appear!"

Orion smiled as he replied mockingly.

"Take my head? You're welcome to try, you wouldn't be the first Admiral to try that… I wonder if today marks the death of another Admiral!"

Akainu couldn't help but let out a laugh.

"Hahaha, Mihawk's in the New World and as for the Joyous Pirates… I wouldn't count on their assistance. Don't count on anyone saving your little life this time pirate!"

When he heard Akainu bring up the Joyous Pirates Ori's eyes turned frosty as a horrifying killing intent was released.

He used his free hand to send Sabo to shore with a gust of wind and said with a distinct lack of emotion.

"Sabo, run to our spot. You'll be safe there!"

Sabo looked worryingly at the man who just saved him from certain death. He could tell from the atmosphere that Ori wasn't confident at fighting the man in front of him.

"What about you?"

"RUN NOW!"

Sabo knew that he'd only get in the way if he stayed here so he turned and made a run for it.

Seeing that they had a close relationship Akainu didn't take any chances and released 2 waves of lava, one at Orion to keep him busy and one around the docks preventing anyone from leaving.

Orion blocked the attack directed at him but by that time it was too late to do anything about the other attack. He frowned as he understood what Akainu was thinking.

He wanted to try and send Sabo away with his ability but he knew that Akainu would immediately sense what he was planning and stop him by whatever means necessary!

"Sakazuki you bastard! Not only are you keeping a child from leaving a battlefield all the citizens that came here to welcome you have been prevented from leaving. I thought the navy was supposed to protect the civilians?!"

Akainu looked indifferent as he replied.

"You can't leave here alive and the same goes for anyone who has anything to do with you! Anyone who dies in the crossfire is just an unfortunate casualty of war!"
