110 Crisis Evaded

Ori who was stood in the air looking down at Enel, also had Bai, Franky and Iceberg stood by him.

Franky and Iceberg looked around in confusion not knowing how they moved or how they were able to stand in the air as if they were standing on solid ground.

As for Bai Kitetsu, even though he was confused as to how he was able to stand on the air, he was more shocked by Ori's speed. He had almost completely lost track of Enel's movement, but Ori had not only managed to dodge, but also carry 3 others to safety in that split second.

Enel was also surprised by Ori's speed, as the user of the Lightning Devil Fruit Logia, he prided himself on his speed, but he felt as if Ori's speed was no less than his, maybe more. He knew Orion was the user of the Wind Logia, but it's no secret that lightning was faster than wind and he could feel that Ori still hadn't even awakened his devil fruit.

Whilst Ori was looking at Enel, Urouge used that as a chance to try and catch him off guard. His already large body almost doubled in size and with a flap of his angel like wings, he flew towards Ori from the back. Holding the pillar like an oversized one handed club, he swung it down wanting to crush Ori in one go.

Just as the pillar was about to make contact with his body, a large man with golden wings holding a halberd in his right hand appeared between Ori and the moving pillar. The large man was obviously Roman.

Despite holding a perfectly good halberd in his hand he didn't even attempt to use it to block Urouge's attack. Instead he dragonized his empty hand and coated it in a layer of haki and punched out at the incoming pillar

"Dragon Fist!"

As Roman's black scaled fist moved through the air, a faint roaring sound could be heard by everyone in the surrounding. Urouge who was facing the attack was under an illusion that made him feel as if Roman was a primordial dragon that could kill him with a mere thought.

Bang!

The pillar Urouge was using as a mace was sent flying one way and his body was sent flying over 100 meters another only coming to a stop after crashing into a building. He was forced to let go of his weapon under the force of the impact.

Ori noticed that the power of Roman's attack seemed to be weakened at the point of impact. He glanced in the direction Urouge was sent flying before turning to Roman and asking.

"Seastone?"

Roman didn't reply, he just nodded indifferently.

Ori glanced in Beliard's definition before looking at Enel with a smile.

"A weapon lined with Seastone. Looks like you've done your homework and came prepared… But it's not enough!"

Sensing that he was about to make his move, Beliard spread his hands and summoned a black gas from his body. Before he could go through with what he was planning, 2 pitch black arrows appeared from almost nowhere and before Beliard could react, it had pierced the fleshy part of both his thighs bringing him to his knees and forcing him to give up using whatever technique he had intended on using.

Shaya who had appeared on a building with the others beside her, looked at Beliard indifferently as she said.

"We've already seen how your technique works, do you really think we'd let you use it so easily?!"

Ori sensed the arrival of his crew before Enel stepped out, so when Enel's subordinates attempted to make their move, he didn't even glance at them. He had full confidence in the strength of his siblings.

"I've taken one of your attacks, you can try one of mine now."

As he said that, he drew the black chokuto at his side. When Enel saw Ori draw his sword, he felt Ori's mild aura turn sharp and fierce all of a sudden. He felt as if he was stood in front of a peerless swordsman from an ancient era.

He now knew he had sorely underestimated Ori's strength and couldn't afford to be negligent facing this next attack. He suddenly generated a large amount of electricity and used it enlarge his figure.

"200,000,000 Volt Raijin."

He turned into a blue skinned big bellied, giant God of Thunder standing at a height of over 20" with bolts of blue lightning flickering around his body.

[So he's already awakened his lightning fruit…]

Seeing Enel's transformation, Ori's eyes shone with excitement. Ever since he'd achieved his most recent series of breakthroughs he hadn't been able to really go all out. When he sensed the increase in Enel's aura, he knew he didn't need to hold anything back.

Enel didn't wait for Ori to make his move, he thrust his palm out firing a giant lightning blast at Ori.

"Die Heavenly Demon!"

Despite the incoming lightning, Ori's expression was light. He calmly raised his sword and then chopped his sword forth.

"Heaven Sundering!"

A giant navy blue crescent shaped sword light shot out from the tip of Ori's sword. Enel and everyone present felt as if the sword wave threatened to tear open the void as it moved. The same word came to everyone's mind when they saw it.

"Sharp!"

As his sword light fired into Enel's lightning blast it didn't pause for even a second, cutting straight through the blast as if it were a knife cutting through butter. Enel tried to amplify his lightning blast to stop the attack, but it was a futile attempt.

Ori's attack tore straight through Enel's cutting into his giant body. Enel was forced to release his transformation and coughed a mouthful of blood. He looked up at Ori in horror.

"I'm a Logia! You didn't even use haki, how did you…"

Ori smiled lightly at Enel as he replied.

"Grandmaster boundary!"

Enel frowned when he heard that, living on Skypiea his whole life he had no idea about the different boundaries and what each one represented.

Ori didn't bother explaining he just said.

"The world under the sky is broader than you could even imagine. If you keep underestimating everyone you'll die a quick death!

Right now you're not our match, challenge us again in the New World!"

Enel was confused as to why the infamous Heavenly Demon was letting them go. In fact, even though they didn't say it, both Roman and Shaya were confused by Ori's actions.

In Ori's mind, Enel was a potential great rival on the sea. The future Whitebeard to his Roger, the Mihawk to his Shanks. Killing him now would make his journey less interesting. Even though there were other powerhouses out there. This was the first pirate in his own generation he'd met or heard about qualified to be his rival.

Ori didn't bother with the surprise in everyone's mind as he turned back to the CP5 commander who had managed to escape from Tom's clutches and said lightly.

"You should leave now!"

Spandam looked unwilling, but after he remembered how easily he defeated someone of Enel's calibre he didn't dare to stay. He signalled to his men to follow him away.

Franky who was the one who had been the main victim in the commander's plot glared angrily at his departing figure.

"Are we seriously just going to let that bastard leave after everything he's done?!"

Tom and Iceburg were also angry but they weren't blinded by their rage. Iceburg looked at Franky and scolded.

"He's a commander for one of the World Government Cipher Pol divisions. No matter if he was in the right or the wrong, if he were to die here today we'd be forced to pay a serious price, being imprisoned is just one possible outcome and a light one at that!"

"But…"

Seeing that Franky wasn't convinced, Tom interrupted him.

"No buts, Iceburg's right. We can't do anything to him today. All we can do right now is count our lucky stars that things ended the way they did…"

As he said that he looked to Ori and the rest of the Heavenly Demons with gratitude as he continued.

"And for that we have you to thank. If there's ever anything I can do to repay you, please don't hesitate to let me know!"

Ori shook his head as he replied.

"I just came to see an old friend, as for saving you. With your strength getting out of that situation would've been simple, which is why I don't understand why you acted the way you did. Charging straight at Spandam like that, without paying any attention to his men… It's almost as if you were trying to get yourself killed."

When Ori watched this scene originally in the anime he believed that Tom was just a great ship builder and so he died because he was just too weak to defeat the enemies, but now after sensing his aura up close, he realised that he couldn't have been further from the truth. Even if he wasn't as strong as Akainu, he wasn't far off.

Hearing that, Tom gave Orion a deep look before sighing helplessly.

"I'm just a relic from the previous era. If you hadn't shown up today then even if I ended up defeating Spandam and his men, then not only I but all of my workers would've had to live a life on the run. Whereas if I submitted to fate and let Spandam do what he wanted with me, I could pave a way for the next generation."

As he said that Tom glanced at Franky and Iceburg who were the inheritors of his will. Franky and Iceburg looked at their teacher and father figure with tears in their eyes realising that he was prepared to give up his life for their futures.

Ori nodded in understanding as he smiled and said.

"Well it's a good thing that things didn't end the way you envisaged, otherwise a year today would've been the anniversary of the world's greatest shipwright."
