25 Courage to Dream

As Orion took his weapons to the front desk the teenager gave him a weird look which Orion just assumed was because he was such a young looking child carrying weapons, all of which were bigger than him.

The teenager asked.

"Kid why did you choose those weapons?"

"Huh, ooh because they're perfect."

"Perfect? You realise that sword has no tip right?"

"I'm not blind you know. But even without the tip the sword whistles through the air, it's almost as if not having a tip aided its efficiency when it came to the aero dynamics, I don't understand how that's possible but it's a fact!"

When the teen heard that he became even more excited, but he was trying to hide it as he asked.

"What about that halberd, most axe blades on halberds are smaller to aid in speed."

Orion shrugged indifferently as he said.

"I don't use halberds but my brother always says he wishes the axes on a halberd was bigger so he could generate more power as he believes that if you swing once and make it count, it's more effective then swinging 10 times rapidly."

He was just about to ask another question when Orion cut him off.

"Don't ask about the bow as I know literally nothing regarding bows. But I trust this blacksmith and this bow was made by him so it can't be too lacking."

The teen looked at Orion with tears in his eyes. Seeing that Orion was taken back as he asked.

"Are you alright? If you really want to ask your final question you can but I more than likely won't be able to give you a good answer."

The teen shook his head as he said excitedly.

"Those weapons were made by me, but I've never sold a single weapon since being hired as one of the blacksmiths. As the only blacksmith in the shop whose work has never sold I was forbidden from forging and was forced to work behind the desk until I made as much money as I "wasted" on materials.

But with the money from those three plus what I've already made I can finally pay off my debt and carry on with my journey to achieve my dream!"

Orion was slightly surprised that none of his works have ever sold but he realised that they were pretty unique and not many people would be willing to take such a risk.

When he heard Bai bring up his "dream" Orion became curious.

"And what's your dream?"

Bai smiled as he said.

"Have you ever heard of the 12 Supreme Swords?"

Orion nodded with a sparkle in his eyes.

[Even before I arrived in this world, only from the canon which hadn't finished I had heard of them. The 12 most powerful swords of the highest quality! One of which was in Dracule Mihawk's hands.]

Seeing the sparkle in his eyes, Bai felt like he had found his long lost bosom buddy.

"Well there's a myth amongst blacksmiths that there was once a sword made that transcended the Supreme Grade Swords; A Divine Grade Sword!

The forger was given the title the Divine Forger. Both he and the previous owner supposedly disappeared sometime over the void century.

My dream is to be the next Divine Forger!"

As he said that he clenched his fists in excitement dreaming about creating such a masterpiece.

Orion could feel his excitement and smiled in return.

"The day you achieve your dream, you must promise to forge me a Divine Grade Sword!"

Bai looked at Orion a little surprised as he asked.

"Most people just laugh when they hear my dream! You really believe I can achieve it?"

Orion nodded sincerely as he replied.

"Those who laugh at another's dream, are those who don't have the courage to dream. So, why not? If someone else had done it in the past, why can't you do it in the future?"

Those words startled Bai as he looked into Orion's eyes as if waiting for him to tell him he's joking but he never did.

He looked at the boy in front of him as he asked.

"Why do you want a Divine Grade Sword?"

Orion smiled proudly as he said.

"Only a sword like that would be fitting of the future king of the pirates!"

When he heard that he was left speechless.

[All pirates set out to sea in the hopes of being the next king of the pirates, but none ever say it aloud. But this kid, he says it as if it were the most natural thing in the world…]

"You really know how to dream big don't you kid."

"If you don't have a dream, you're not living!"

When he heard that, Bai felt as if something fundamental just changed inside him, he couldn't quite put his finger on it but he definitely felt it!

Little did he know because of those words, he'd go on to create a stir in the world, the likes of which haven't been seen in a very long time!

"Hahahahaha, you got yourself a deal Mr Future Pirate King. My first Divine Grade creation will be a sword made solely for you!"

After their conversation Orion left happily after achieving everything he set out to do and more, whereas Bai was inspired once more to actively pursue his dreams.

After marching in the store owner's office and paying off his debt, he quit his job and set sail.

After setting sail Bai couldn't help but look up at the sky and replay everything that happened today.

[Haha what an interesting kid. Ooh crap, I just realised I don't know his name. Ah well everything will sort itself out eventually!]
