Chapter twenty eight my birthday

It's finally my twentyone birthday as usual, I don't celebrate my birthday at part from birthday text messages and gifts from Jimi.

I sat on my bed legs crossed feeling bord, studying wasn't so easy for me and IB seemed to be so busy these past few months so busy that she hardly had time for me dispect we live together, jimi and I only communicated at night were we talk about how we spend our day. Realizing that Jimi works as a part-time programmer, I was a bit surprised it never occurred to me that Jimi was so autonomous, born into the Ajeyi family whose father is a diplomatic businessman with a net worth of over 5 trillion dollars with different estates all over African, American, UK and china yet are kept on low key one can only know about their redeem team a non-governmental organization which aim at providing for the less privilege.

Just then my phone blipped, I picked it up immediately it was a short message from Jimi

I blush so hard while I read it over and over again until my face turns red. IB went to the kitchen to list out some things to buy

"Mrs Jimi we have run out of foodstuff" she called out holding an empty carton of instant noodles.

Kira: "You sound sarcastic", I don't mind you know".

IB: "Since you are dating such a rich dude how about you pay all the bills"

Kira: in your dreams girl, in your dreams beside it's supposed to be my birthday isn't it?

IB:" Yeah you are right but we should spill the bills" I laughed so hard until my throat dried.

There were several people at the supermarket mostly students since it was within the school campus, I shop proteins such as milk, beans, beef, chicken, and eggs seafood such as fresh fish, prawns crayfish, and crabs as well as vegetables such as tomatoes, one kilo of bell pepper while IB shop for beverages, Cereal, oats, pacematic rice, and some potatoes.

We both walked to the computer to make our payment after which we left with the serious items.

On getting to the door mouth of the supermarket my phone blipped, I immediately put down the two bags I was holding to answer my call but I was distracted by IB

IB: "Wonder shall even end ooo, Kira is that not your brother-in-law and what is he doing with that girl? I immediately put my phone into my bag

Kira: "Where did you see my brother-in-law and which girl are you talking about?

IB: "he walked into the supermarket just now holding a lady on her waist". I left the bags with IB and went into the supermarket.

"Brother-in-law!

I called out from behind, and he turned around and saw me .he was stunned at first like someone caught in an act. "hi Kira, come for shopping? He tried to smile but he failed

"Yeah", I turned toward the young lady with him "And who is she?

"oh she is my cousin, "he said a hot dip from his skin.

"did you hear that? I asked sarcastically, she was stunned at first then realized she had to defend herself because he just introduced her as a cousin "Don't you believe your brother-in-law? You are something even Tolu thinks differently from you "

"oh yes! And I know your cousin messes around but..... after everything he will always come home for his family " I had a smug look "and sent my greeting to my sister, see you, next time brother-in-law ". They could sense the sarcasm in my voice
