Bloodthorn Stag 3

Lin Xi Xi sat behind a bush as she channeled her fusion ability into her arrow. Her Wind and Water element fuses into the Ice element. With a flick of her finger, she initiated battle with one of the stags. 

"Ice Fusion Ability: Frosted Arrow." In mid-air, the arrow that was released from the bow had compounded a terrifying icy type that blasted towards the Bloodthorn Stag. As the stag was confused by the tree, it did not notice the Frosted Arrow and was blasted on its head. 

"Pshh!" The Bloodthorn Stag had a 'Frozen' status applied to its head as it stumbled in its position, unable to move properly. It had taken critical damage from the arrow, but was still able to live due to its tough skin resistance. 

Above the frozen Bloodthorn Stag soon came Kong Huo Yu and his spear. This time, he too merged his dual elements of Fire and Earth, which formed the Magma Fusion Element. As he thrusted down the spear, the tip of his weapon seemed to have seeping hot liquid gushing out. 

"Magma Fusion Ability: Magma Rush!" This was Kong Huo Yu's strongest ability of which enemies who were struck by it would get severely burnt. 

Just as his strike was able to hit the frozen stag, a dark shadow loomed over his head. The other Bloodthorn Stag that was separated with the frozen beast had lauched itself towards Kong Huo Yu. Realising that he was in a precarious position, Kong Huo Yu quickly changed the position of his weapon to protect his vital organs. 

"Clang!" 

The spear interlocked in place with the bloody horns of the Demonic Beast. Due to its overwhelming size, Kong Huo Yu was pushed back. He regrouped with Lin Xi Xi and Hong Yao. In situations like this, it was important for the strategist to come up with a new plan on the spot. Hong Yao's brain raced as he gave a new order. 

"I'll try to hold down the healthy stag while the both of you focus on the injured one."

"Alright!" With Kong Huo Yu's leap forward, Hong Yao followed up with his Tree Growth. The branch of the tree followed Hong Yao's order. It spiralled around the Bloodthorn Stag, cutting off its escape route. The Rank 3 Demonic Beast roared in anger. It started to charge into the wooden spiral that had grown spike. Sweat started forming on Hong Yao's forehead as the Spiral dome required a lot of energy to sustain. The only thing making the situation better for him is that the Life Energy Tree created by Hong Yao was able to suck out Qi from its injured foes. 

As for Kong Huo Yu, the teenager had activated Magma Rush again and blasted towards the injure stag. It had broken out of the frozen status and had empowered its bloody horns. The horns grew it size as many large thorns started to appear on the numerous intersections of the horns. It looked like a pincer that could easily shatter a person's bone. 

"Ching!" 

This time, the spear connected and the exchange was fairly even. Neither human nor Demonic Beast wanted to give way. Kong Huo Yu shouted out, "Lin Xi Xi, faster!"

"Silent Killer."

From a different position, a soundless arrow, imbued with Wind Energy, zoomed through the air. Its target this time was the weakest part of the Bloodthorn Stag, the neck. Not realising that it was in danger, the Demonic Beast solely focused on his clash with Kong Huo Yu. 

Tch. Within seconds, Kong Huo Yu felt the strength in his opponent weaken. The arrow had busted through the Demonic Beast's neck. Its blood spurted all over the ground before collapsing on the ground. 

Seeing that the fight was over, Kong Huo Yu released the wooden spiral. The enraged Stag broke through. Wooden spikes were plastered all over its body. It did not care about any of its injury. The stag's eyes were instead focused on Hong Yao, who was the original mastermind of the Life Tree. 

"Ahooooo!" Roaring in anger, fury overcame the Bloodthorn Stag. Not only did its horn grow larger and bloodier, the body and the limbs of the stag had doubled in size. It resembled the berserk stag from Li Tian's earlier exchange.

"Not good! The stag has entered its berserk state!" Hong Yao explained to his two teammates. "He will focus his entire attention on me. Both of you, launch your strongest attack on it!"

As prophesized, the Bloodthorn Stag started charging over to Hong Yao. Controlling the Life Tree, this time, he created a dome over himself. The stag rammed its horns into the dome, breaking off large splints of wood in one hit. 

Kong Huo Yu had once again used his Magma Rush to stab into the body of the stag. Lin Xi Xi fired at Frost Arrows at the Demonic Beast's key body parts. Unfortunately for them, the stag did not care about it and solely focus its attention on Hong Yao. The dome started to break on itself. The Life Tree's energy had dropped significantly.

"I can't hold on much longer! Argh!" With a final ram, the Bloodthorn Stag had managed to break into the enclosure. Kong Huo Yu had no choice but to release his Life ability and draw out his saber to block the blow. 

"Bam!" The teenager was blasted away and only stopped when he crashed into the Red Iron Tree. Blood trickled out of his mouth. 

"Hong Yao!" Kong Huo Yu called out. His facial features were tensed. Drawing his spear, he leaped into the air as slammed his spear downwards at the Stag's head. Ching. The spear bounced off the Stag's horn seemingly with no effect on it. The force propelled Kong Huo Yu backwards. 

Even with Lin Xi Xi's Frost Arrows, the stag continue walking towards Hong Yao. The situation looked extremely precarious and she was about to fire a signal for help. It was then a person appeared in front of Hong Yao, blocking sight of the injured teen from the Demonic Beast. The person was none other than Li Tian, who had a serene look on his face.
