The Five Kage Summit
"Wait back up you want me to what?" Kohana said looking at Kakashi,
"For the five kage summit that was just called, I'd like you to act as my advisor for it, as well as a body guard. Since your the head of the Akatsuki case… I'm only filling the role of Hokage temporarily, until Tsunade is back on her feet. Danzo has requested to be the second guard, and the elders seconded his request so we're stuck with him." Kakashi said, sighing, and Kohana nodded annoyed at that fact but nonetheless left to prepare for the journey.
"You hold such hostility towards me, Kohana, what have I done to warrant that?" Danzo asked as they jumped towards their destination,
"That has no barring on this mission. Stay on task." Kohana said sharply as they jumped up on the bridge, she stayed as far away from Danzo as she could, sticking close to Kakashi. The Sand siblings jumping behind them, making their way to the samurai as well.
"We need to present a unified front to the summit" Danzo said, Kohana not responding as she brought out a note sending it straight to Gaara, who looked down
'We brought Danzo Shimura with us on orders from the Elders. Hes a snake of a man. Don't drop your guards.' Is what the note read, Gaara hummed
"Lord hokage. Welcome." The samurai said in greeting
"We need to go after the Akatsuki," Ay said as the meeting progressed, hitting his hand on the table, Kohana and Danzo jumping out alongside the other bodyguards, before being dismissed one by one, Kohana, and Ao staying out for a moment.
"There's someone else here." She said to Kakashi,
"I sensed it as well, milady." Ao said to Mei, who sat in the Mizukage chair
"It really is no fun if you announce my appearance." The masked man said jumping in front of the leaf representative, looking into her eyes with his sharingan, causing the girl to fall to the floor, having no time to react.
"What did you do to her?" Gaara demanded
"I did not come here to fight, only to spread the truth." The masked man stated,
"Oh and Danzo Shimura. You're time to answer for your crimes has finally arrived." The man said maliciously
"The truth about what" Kakashi asked, they had to play their cards carefully, with Kohana trapped inside a strong genjutsu, anything could happen
"Why, the truth behind the Uchihas slaughter, the kitsune attack on the leaf 16 years ago, and Danzos arm and left eye. Oh and of course the goal of the Akatsuki" He said, Kohana sitting up a moment later having broken the genjutsu.
"Danzo. Shimura. Is it true?" Kohana said as she stood
"Is what true? Focus on the battle in front of us." He replied
"No no, let her speak." Mei said
"While my parents fought for their lives and the lives of everyone in the village, including your sorry ass. Did you. Withhold. Aid. Aid that, if given, would have given them more of a chance against the 9tail. Is it true that you hid like the fucking spinless snake you are, with your Anbu unit 'foundation' waiting until the fighting was done on all fronts, to collect sharingan and try to push yourself towards the hokage seat? Not only that but is it true that you had a hand in forming the Akatsuki to the organization it is now." Kohana clarified.
"Of course not! It's all lies, can't you see that!" Danzo said
"Ao, that's your name right? You mentioned having the byakugan?" Kohana said and Ao nodded
"There is one way to determine if the masked man is lying, look at Danzos right arm please" She said Mei nodding giving the okay for Ao to do so.
"What in the world. Are those eyes?!" He said disgusted and perplexed
"That confirms it. Thank you." She said before going to jump at Danzo, being stopped by Kakashi, who grabbed her around the waist, the masked man having moved to overtop a platform.
"I'm going to fucking kill you! My mother and father! You got them both fucking killed! The Uchiha clan was killed because of you! They died because of your callousness! And then you collected the eyes from the uchiha corpses like you were shopping?! And implant them in your arm. And you showed up to their funerals? how disgusting can you be! I get ahold of you and your dead! You hear me eyeball. Sasuke wouldn't have even sought revenge for the uchiha if it wasn't for you." Kohana said Kakashi still holding her back from attacking him, Gaara helping him,
"You can't attack him he's also a bodyguard today. He will be answering for his crimes." Kakashi said
"Do you have anything to say against the allegations Danzo?" Mei asked
"It was purely a tactical decision. If your going to let emotions guide you, you should not be a shinobi. Some time in my unit my do you some good." Danzo said looking at Kohana, who since been standing in between Gaara and Kakashi
"I've known the Uzumaki's for a while. And this is the first time she's ever dropped composure. So I'd say she isn't the one who should not be a shinobi." Gaara commented
"I believe it would be wise to have him restrained." Ohnoki said, looking suspicious at Danzo, chakra chains wrapping around his body rapidly a moment later.
"Well, that was quite a show. Reel it back." The masked man said, phasing through attacks, Kohana sending a kunai towards the masked man, it phasing through his head, Kohana disappearing from sight, reappearing right behind him, aiming a rasengan to his back. As she grabbed the kunai, sending the masked man into the wall on the otherside.
"The yellow flash used that move on you 16 years ago. Feel familiar?" Kohana asked, as the masked man jumped back to the platform, going for Kohana's feet, who jumped
"Oh I see. You were able to sync your chakra with mine, that's how that hit landed. How infuriating. You Uzumaki brats can be." The masked man said
"You didn't seriously think I was doing nothing inside the genjutsu, did you? They may not be able to land a hit on you. Madara, or is it Tobi? You have so many names it's actually exhausting. But anyway, I can." She said
"She what?" Kankuro asked
"She synced their chakra, of course, that's why she was able to land a hit, it's a technique known to the Uzumaki clan." Kakashi answered,
"That was Kushina Uzumaki's specialty if I'm not mistaken, was it not? How is she able to use that? As far as I knew she was the only one in the Uzumaki clan able to use it." Ay asked and Kakashi nodded,
"It was. And it's simple really, because Kohana is her daughter." Kakashi said
"What is the Akatsuki's goal" Kohana asked, preparing her jutsu, as she ducked under his arm, blocking it with her own arm,
"World peace instantaneously" He said
"Pain said the same thing. What do you mean by that stop talking in code it's annoying." Kohana said jumping down as he explained project tsku yome.
"Your out of your mind." Kohana said grabbing a book from her kunai pouch
"Peace can't happen in a snap, it requires hard work and sacrifice, and an understanding." Gaara said back as Kohana continued to flip through her book,
"Found it!" Kohana said after the masked man took his leave,
"Found what?" Onoki asked
"This book was given to me from geezer sage after I completed sage training. It outlines different jutsus used in the past, dangerous not so dangerous and lethal. It's alphabetized so I was looking for that word he said Tsukeyome." Kohana said before putting her book on the table, leaving it open
"Kaguya Otsutsuki used the Infinite tsukuyomi as a population control on the nearby town. By the time the sage of six paths found the people they'd been wrapped in white bark, and mummified. The chakra in their bodies completely drained. The sage of six paths and his brother sealed Kaguya in the moon. If the jutsu is cast again Kaguya will return, and the dark ages will start anew." Kohana said reading word for word from the text
"Well that's depressing." Kakashi said the kage all agreeing as they formed the allied forces
"The jinchuriki shouldn't be allowed to participate" Ay said, quickly being backed up by the others,
"Katsuo is very… headstrong, once he finds out about the war there won't be anything we can do to stop him. But where would we even put them?" Kohana said,
"She raises a good point… Raikage did you have a plan for that?" Gaara asked and Ay nodded pointing out the island, turtle island, not available on any
maps
"We're heading out soon, are you okay?" Kakashi asked as Kohana stood outside. Looking out at the fields, Danzo had disappeared during the 'chat' with the masked man, which nobody was too concerned about, she gripped the railing tightly.
"I'll be ready Kakashi sensei. I just need a second" Kohana said and Kakashi nodded, Gaara walking up as well, as she began to speak again
"In the genjutsu, I saw the masked man's memories. Danzo gave him information on how to get into the leaf, where to go, where my mother was supposed to be, information on the seal she had. It… he… he might has well of stabbed them himself." Kohana said
"My uncle used to say something to me, I didn't get it at the time, 'no-one truly dies, as long as they're in your heart.' Your parents only ever die if you stop thinking of them, I think is what that means" gaara said
"Do I even have a right to miss them, when I never knew them in the first place? I met my dad's chakra, and my mothers, I hear what kind of people they were, but, I never knew them. Is it wrong to mourn people I didn't know, and never will" Kohana asked in return, Gaara shaking his head
"I don't think so." He said back
"Oh yeah, they definitely like eachother." Kankuro whispered to Temari from the doors of the tower. Temari nodded.
"You're just seeing that?" Temari asked
"You think those two will actually get together?" Kankuro asked, Temari just rolling her eyes,
"Don't talk bad about big brother Katsuo!" Konohamaru said as he ran forwards with a rasengan, aiming it at Temari who raised an eyebrow, opening her fan, before a blur of red, and blue was seen, Kohana standing in front of her with her rasengan ready,
"You have some more training to do, to perfect the Rasengan Konohamaru." She said before using her rasengan to block out Konohamarus, her hair flying up from the force of the jutsu as a shockwave made its way around the forest. Moving Temaris hair around as well, the blast sending Komohamaru back into a crater. By the bridge,
"Owwww, big sis Kohana. I was about to win" konohamaru said
"You… you um… no. No no no. No you weren't. No. It's good that your confident
in your abilities, but take care that you don't overestimate your abilities and end up underestimating your opponents." Kohana said, before looking at Temari,
"You uh… weren't going to use third star on him or your summoning… right? Temari…" She said, Temari huffing, proud, before shaking her head
"He pushed me further than I expected. Seems Katsuos got a good student on his hands." Temari said promising to inform Gaara
"By the way… are you gonna confess to him?" She whispered to kohana who's face went beet red
"Have a nice trip, get there safely." She said
