A Traumatizing Beginning
"The firstborn is a girl, pass her to the Hokage" Biwako said as she continued to help deliver the other two babies. The first baby, a little girl, was wrapped in a light blue baby blanket, her tuft of blonde and light red hair evident on her head, she cried for a moment before Minato held her, holding his finger up to the baby who grabbed it curiously, her eyes a brilliant blue and she had whiskers 3 on each cheek.
"Kohana, welcome little one." Minato said bringing the baby up to his face, the baby staring at him before going to sleep. 2minutes later Biwako announced the birth of their second daughter, identical to their first born but significantly louder with her cries which ricocheted off the cave walls, she was cleaned, checked, then passed to Minato while Biwako delivered the last baby.
"Kohana and Kanae are so amazing my love your doing great." Minato said holding the two bundles in one arm, one in blue the other in light green. Kanae, the baby in the green, and Kohana, the baby in the blue were identical. Kohana seemed to be calmer, not crying as Kanae slapped her hand over her face, turning her head into Minatos elbow instead.
"The youngest is a boy" Biwako said wrapping the baby in an orange blanket going to pass him to Kushina before Kohana began to wail, screaming like he lungs depended on it, Biwako walked over to look at the baby, it seemed something had scared the infant, but what? They were hidden from the village, surrounded by Anbu. Biwako healed Kushina so she could move, with Minato quickly tightening the seal once more
"If you don't want your babies to die you'll do as I say." A masked ninja said wearing an entirely black cloak, black hair spiked behind his head, as he held Katsuo and Kohana, the babies screaming in terror, the man holding a kunai to the baby's head, their arms moving as they shook their heads,
"Hey, let's just calm down, you don't need to hurt them. Okay, we can talk about this okay" Minato tried, the man moving the knife closer to the babies before chakra chains erupted from Kohanas back as she screamed in terror, tears running down her chubby cheeks, the chains going straight for the masked man as she cried, who seemed shocked, as were Minato and Kushina who held Kanae, the baby also crying, even as Kushina tried to sooth her. The masked man ended up stabbed before seeming to drop both baby's, Minato rushing forwards catching the two, Kohana calming down as Minato caught her, Katsuo still crying, jumping to near Kushina after teleporting the blankets away that had Paperbombs attached. Kohana turned her head inward as she searched for food trying to latch to Minatos jonin jacket, before he passed both babies to Kushina, who fed them with ease, following her instincts. using the signal Hiruzen gave to alert the leaf of the attack. As Anbu flooded the cave, the masked man phased out,
"This is not over forth hokage. Jinchuriki. I will have the 9 tails" He declared, Minato ordering a search for the masked man over the entire village, Kohana releasing a small burp before falling asleep alongside Katsuo and Kanae, Minato rewrapping the blanket around Kanae to fit the three before helping Kushina to her feet teleporting them all to a safe house. Placing the infants in a crib, while he and Kushina looked at eachother
"What are we going to do Minato? That madman isn't after the babies, or you, he's after me. Maybe… m" Kushina started
"We are not handing you over Kushina, that is out of the question. Our children need you, I need you," Minato said looking into her eyes
Minato sealed half of the ninetails in Kushina, succeeding, before sealing the other half in Katsuo, the boy being the only one compatible, with the tailed beast, Kohana, Kanae, and Katsuo being introduced to the third hokage, Kushina having not erected a barrier, allowing the other ninja in close. As he finished the seal, Kurama, the Kitsune yelled in rage, aiming his claw towards Katsuo, before they could think, or anyone could blink, both Minato and Kushina jumped in front of the claw, their blood splashing onto the baby, who awoke.
"Lord Hokage! Lady Kushina!" The ninja yelled in concern,
"Katsuo, Kohana, Kanae… you three are the light of our lives, thank you.. For being born to us." Kushina said as she and Minato coughed, blood spilling down their chins, before Kurama disappeared, Hiruzen promising to look after the kids as best he could. Before the light left their eyes, and they fell, dead.
