"Stay here and if something happens, protect the children, at all cost", I nodded my head as my mates turn around and left for the war.

I looked at Kayla, who is starting ahead, expressionless and then at Aria, who is fuming with anger. My lips twitched because she is looking like a cartoon character, her face is red and I'm sure any minute steam will come out of her ears. Her anger is understandable though. We are on the war and instead of fighting we have given the job of keeping the children and elders safely in the safe house and protect them if something when wrong.

Then there is this tension between me and Kayla, which even the children are aware of as I saw them fidgeting on their seats, awkwardly. At this moment Aria seems to realise the awkwardness hanging in the air.
