Cruz looked at the mangled corpses of the Earl of Roselake Town and his only daughter. They said it was a beast in the forest, while some said it was bandits and an inside job.
But Cruz knew better.
Orphaned at young, he was a slave to witches until he was fourteen years old and got rescued by his mentor, a senior Hunter in the Hunters Association.
Born with good looks, silver hair, and mismatched green and blue eyes, witches apparently took a liking to him. Adding his aloof and cold personality, the witches coveted him to be their servants. They associated him with a cat akin to a pet.
But thanks to that, he accumulated enough experience. He was exposed to the world of witches and took valuable skills from them.
