25 winter break 1

-I can't believe you pull it up.- Said CS still disbelieving what he sees.

'With this, extracting the metal from the vein will be easier.'

Now sure the first program work without a hitch, he put the second to the test. Feeding the machine more raw materials, he needs to wait five minutes for the construction of the second model. Contrary to the first one, the second was the size of two index put side to side.

Putting a large block of rock containing gemstones in, the larger ant rapidly crawls on the side, before he abdomen open and free eight small ants. Those ants work precisely like the SU, making their way in the rocks and activating they runes arrays, removing all the gemstones in the rock, while leaving the stone at it was.

Done with cleaning the rock, they return to the mother ants, who came positioned herself on the USB port. Like the first, he could see a part of the cube occupied with various gemstones of different sizes.

'This will be a life-changer.' Said Alex happily, before starting to construct a second printer, and launching the production of the first thousand 'miner' ants. Thank a storing unit installed in the SD printer; he wouldn't have to retrieve each one, every time. The production of those would take a little more than a day and only 1 kg of diamonds, 6 kilograms of mithril, 65 kilograms of steel and 1kg worth of EC.

When done with the second printer, he didn't start to produce the 'digger' ant but instead craft an MFD containing the data of the main chip of the printer. Launching the creation of eight other printer chip, he passes the rest of the day by crafting the other part and nest.

The nest were unit where each ant will have four available SU. Along with the one in them, it would allow Alex to leave them alone for an extended period without having to change them once full. It would also allow for more comfortable transportation.

Done with the near finish printer, and SU-less 'nest' he calls for the day, drained for what happened.

~~~
Until the break came, other than class, Alex would pass all his time to craft. With the ready chip at the end of the class hours the following day, he lunches a mass production order. Three of the ten printers were producing 'miner', three other 'digger', three other SU and the last another round of ten printer chip.
~~~

On Saturday morning, Alex apparate, via Autumn, in the cavern under Surrey. One near the vein, he installs the 'nest', releasing 4,000 'miner' and 864 'digger' units.

Barely released, the ants immediately swarm the wall. While the mother ant of the 'digger' was spreading around the wall, the 'miner' was more like a true swarm, all coordinating and slowly starting to eat the vein.

Seeing this, Alex nod, before starting to install sixteen of the twenty printers in the cave. Setting them to continue the production of the two ants and the nest, it was only them that it strikes him.

'We need another type.'

-What for?-

'To fill the holes already made. I don't know how long the wards would hold, but with how much galleries are dug and with the increasing human activity above, it wouldn't be long for a cave-in to occur. Also, I don't particularly appreciate how I'm destroying the environment. It may be on a lesser scale, but still. With them, the waste of quarries used for filling the holes.'

-Oh! Good idea, it cost nothing to heal a little of the damage made by humans. Do you have other plans for them? While it will take a while to clean it, you will produce around 5,000 'miner' unit a day.-

'True, with the 10t of diamonds and 600 kg of mithril extract from the corpse of the goblin, along the tons of steel from their Vaults, I won't run out of materials soon. Even if it long, the EC are slowly charging with sunlight, so I'm good too on this site. As for them, yes, I do have a use. They will start to raid Australian ground for surface gold; at the same time, I will release them in the junkyard of cars hidden around the globe.

By the end of the break, I should have around 75,000 of them. I will leave 50,000 here, 10,000 for the junkyard and 5,000 for Australia. I will also release some 'digger' there too, just in case.

That makes me think that I need to make a better blast furnace to melt them too.'

Lost in his thoughts, Autumn take her master back to the castle before giving the ants a last look.

~~~
Returning to the castle just in time to see the train depart, Alex rapidly glimpses at his map. Seeing his target making his way to Hogsmeade, alone, he smirked, before looking at Autumn.
"I will need your help once more time, Autumn. Please spread the vanishing array on the way to Hogsmeade; he is there too. Once you made sure to send him here, immediately return."
Nodding, the elves take the stack of wooden runes in her hand before popping away. Doing the same on his side, Alex retrieves the runes, before activating an SU.
A few second after preparing the circle, he was warned of the incoming guest as they start to catch fire. The moment they turn into ashes, he pushes and closes the SU on Quirrel. As the SU are void space, the man immediately starts to suffocate inside.
Profiting of the man who was surely panting and dying of asphyxia, he surrounds the SU with his soul entrapment device. Put inside a cube made of 26 SED, Voldemort damaged soul would have no escape route.
For having made the device and see him pass through stones and wards, he knows that Tom wouldn't be trapped by the SU more than a few minutes.
As if confirming his thought, one of the blank devices suddenly morphs, taking the aspect of a snake. Taking out the fresh corpse off the SU, and leaving a drop of his poison on the body, Alex stares emotionlessly at the man who had been a poor teacher from the first day, shrivel up and turn into a pile of powdered elements and nugget of 136g of mithril, he sighs.
'Goblin is sure better, I only obtain around 130g from him, while they give around 200g.'
-Heu, buddy, I'm not sure wizards and goblin would be thrilled with you if they learn that you seem to give more importance of goblin because they provide more mithril.- Sweatdrop CS.
'Not like I care about then, anyway. The goblins had been my enemies, and this moron had willingly surrendered his body to a soul-mutilated dark lord.'
-True.- Concede CS, While Alex looks over the map.
"The way is clear; most of the students are gone, the professors are either in their quarter or making their way from the station, better use the opportunity."
~~~

Accompanied by his trusty elf, Alex made his way to the seven-floor, directly entering the particular corridor. Going back and forth three times while thinking at the diadem, an ominous squeaky door appears.

Looking at the corrupted-like door, Alex was stunned for a second, before shaking his head.

-At least, we know we had the right door.- Dryly comment CS, as Alex push the door open.

HE looked at the simple 3*3 room, with a bust and a silver diadem on, in the middle of it.

"Alright, let do this. Autumn, I will need you to do it for me. As the soul need a living vessel to be extracted, I will need to wear it. What I want you to do is to push the device on the diadem while I will fighting the possession alongside CS, alright?"

The little elf wasn't alright at all, but she, like the five other know that they hadn't any choice as Alex was the only one able to fight back long enough for Autumn to extract it.

At least he was doing this with one of them here to help. Nooding recalcitrant, she levitates the crown and slowly brings it to the now sit Alex.

Closing his eyes to prepare for the incoming fight, he barely feels it fall on his head, that the soul shard immediately tries to take possession of the new vessel. While Voldemort had been a formidable wizard, tearing his soul into fragments had diminished his might.

Facing the two combined soul? He hadn't much of a grip on the prepared duo. They had barely shrugged the first assault that they could feel something drags the shard away. A little wary at the situation, Alex cracked an eye open, only to look strangely at the trapped soul shard in the cube.

-That was rather anti-climactic.- Alex could feel the disappointment in CS voice. He too had prepared himself to face an overwhelming hurdle, not a simple skirmish like this.

'Yeah.' REspond Alex, lost while looking at the damaged snake in the cube Autumn hold, happy that everything was already over.

Storing the diadem for the future, he looked around. Wanting to test one of the Fanfic theory he had seen, he closes his eyes, wishing for any wooden furniture stored in the room of lost things. Opening his eyes, he sees that nothing had happened.

'Well, I tried.'

~~~
Exiting the room while AUtumn pop away, Alex paced in front of the ugly tapestry, while wishing for the same thing as before.
This time, Alex wish was heard as a new door open. Entering, he sees raws upon raws of a broken and damaged piece of wooden furniture. Looking like a kid in Christmas, he starts to run around, remodelling everything entering his range, before storing them away just after. The task which would have taken days to accomplish for a wizard using transfiguration, only took Alex two hours.
Barely winded, he slowly made his way back to the entrance, before exiting the room.
For the rest of the day, he would empty the room, categories by categories of items. In leaving his crafted money crates before opening the door again, or leaving similar storing boxes, he saves a lot of time.
Looking for time to time in the room of lost things, he sees it content shrink at sight. Each of his elves would be beyond word on Christmas when he leaves them trunks to sort, seeds and ingredients to store, books to arrange pelt and skins to prepare and a lot of others works to do.
He made sure to send Autumn to gather Quirrel thing, making as if the man had quit the post and exit the castle.
~~~

Shortly after a healthy lunch, Alex and Autumn appear in Litte Hangleton. Searching around a little, before feeling the wards put on the shack, Alex stopped. Lightly stamping on the ground, the earth moves under his feet. Soon, a staircase made of compressed earth open, leading to an underground shaping tunnel. Walking in a straight line, it didn't take long for him to detect the wooden shack above.

When he encompassed most of the shack in his zone, he stored the box containing the ring. Walking back, the earth returning to its natural shape behind him.

"Kreacher!"

Responding to the call, an old, hunched house-elf appears. Wearing rags falling apart, he looked at the one who called him.

"Who called Kreacher? You're not a Black but a Black, and called Kreacher!" State the elf, clearly confused at the situation.

"I'm a member of House Black By Sirius Black, and also share blood tie with Dorea Black. But I didn't call you for those meaningless talk. Do you recognise this magic?" Say, Alex, making just the stone hovering, not wanting to be struck with the withering curse on the ring.

Feeling the similar magic that the one on the locket, the elf eyes widen, before popping away. Returning a few seconds later, along with the locket, he looks at the two, before starting yell.

"Poor master Regulus! Kreacher failed master task, and another appears!"

~~~
While he could have let it turn into a sobbing mess, Alex had other things to do.
"Kreacher!" Yells at the elf rolling on the ground while tearing on it ears, making it stop and looks at him.
Taking a SED, he put it on the stone. Due to the nature of the Hollow, it possesses puissant magic for Alex to draw the shard out. Kreacher looked with astonished eyes as the magic shift from the stone to the cube, before dying.
It not the soul who died, but the magic itself, as the Horcrux need a vessel, while the device traps the soul.
"I can help you, but I will need the locket." Say, Alex.
Hearing him, Kreacher looks immediately return to the stone, before nodding, giving it to Alex, as he was his best shoot.
"Autumn, you know what to do."
"Yes, master!"
Sitting on the ground, he destructs the locket, absorbing all the magic that made it. Deprived of it vessel, the soul shard immediately tried to possess the nearer living being to survive. As Alex had held the locket in hand, it naturally tried on him.
Like with the diadem, CS and Alex only had to fight back until the shard was absorbate by the SED in Autumn hand. Opening his eyes, materials appear around Alex's hand, reforming the locket he gives to the elf.
"With this, your task is accomplished." Start Alex to the weeping elf. "But it not the end, I have another of those with me." The elf immediately turns serious.
On his word, the cup appears, hovering. Like the two other founder artefact and the locket, he destroys it and let the shard attempts to take over his body. As the last two time, Autumn quickly took care of the problem, raising to four the numbers of the entrapped shard and leaving only one still free.
~~~

An hour after they exit the castle, the duo reappears. Leaving her master to his things, Autumn pop to the cavern, to keep an eye on the progression of the ants.

On his side, Alex took a cube of Diamonds from his storage, turning it into a 1l thermos bottle. Taking a chunk of mithril, he turns it into a ring, before engraving the different enchantment that had to constitute the cup. Adding an expansion array who will multiply its capacity by ten, he installs the mithril ring on the neck.

On the bottle, at the ring place, five nicks appear. In them, he put four EC, before fusing them all. From the way it was made, the EC would touch the ring, while the last nick would be the only place where the ring was accessible from the outside.

Wanting to make sure all was correctly working, he took the phial of his collected venom. Say venom, contrary to his breath, was extremely hard to collect in large quantity, as he only produces around a hundred of drops per year. He had already used all his previous year worth of venom on the goblin, and nearly all the one he had produce until then.

The phial he took out was all that was left, around thirteen drops. That why he was a little recalcitrant to do this, but if it worked, he would have a stable source.

Letting a single drop fall in the nick, and connect with the ring, he looks with battered breath as the runes on the ring illuminate in a soft blue hue. Draws by the enchantment, the Ec also shines, averting him that the enchantment takes hold.

Knowing that it would take time, and now sure it worked, he creates enough bottles to each type of potion he had in stock.

"Ash!"

Immediately popping at the enthusiasm call of his master, the Elf appears.

"Yes, master?"

"Take those bottles to the island. Drop a single drop of every potion we had on a bottle each."

Nodding at the order, the elf didn't question Alex and executed the order, taking with him the crates of empty bottles.

~~~
Done with nearly all the anchors of Voldemort and take Dumbledore out until the next year, Alex return to the island peacefully.
During the first day, he emptied everything in his pocket space. Leaving the mountain of olds trunks, of the deceased students during their stay in Hogwarts, for Autumn to go through, he started to sort his gain for the RoR.
Other than the evident enormous amount of wood gathered from the various furniture; he had made his hand on an impressive amount of weapons, mostly human-made and a few pieces of goblin crafts. As Alex had a better way of crafts, all armours and weapons were turned into ingots, keeping only the best one for display.
He keeps all jewellery, just in case, and every cursed item, render into primary materials.
Subjects sorted the stacks of books and grimoires collected before Winter take a list of it. All new volume not yet owned by the library was added, along with a duplicate, while Winter would sell the rest.
With the age of most of them, he knows that he would rack in an enormous amount of Galleons from collectors. He keeps with him the money collected in the room as pocket change, even if he obtains more than 10,000G (500,000 P) from it.
He uses the three followings to recorder any curse encountered and their counter-curse, made in a newly made book. While spring was high on his yearly inventory, Alex used the hours he had the disposition to create a few more useful artefacts.
~~~

-Ok, what are on the program?-

"First, I need a machine to create paper. Rather than using wood, I was thinking of using leaves. It wouldn't make much, but I surely won't use a ton of paper anyways. Seeing the numbers of leaves Yggdrasil produce each year, it should be more than enough.

The second is a device to allow me to scan books and transform the information on a numeric form. While I want to keep books for the aesthetic, they are my heritage, and I don't want to damage them. Creating chips containing the books will not only free an enormous amount of space but also allow me to read them were I want.

An third, I want to study what I have already created. It's merely a waste of resources to use diamonds and a large chip of mithril. Now that I have the printer, I can directly engrave the runes on the material and use mithril treads to fill them. I also don't think I can't found better material for storing units."

-Leaves?-

"Yes, while it couldn't by a viable process in the mundane world, with the use of runes, we will be able to replicate the chemical process. Even if we don't use the leaves, Ash had been cutting down trees for the last centuries. While the forest could exist on its own, with the amount of wildlife here, it had been necessary to make sure it was thriving. I don't know how many thousands of tons there are in storage, but it ridiculous.

-Do you need paper if you had numerical data?-

"I... You know what, your right, better keep the wood for building materials. I can always build the machine and keep it, just in case. It may be useful one day.

-So... scanner?-

"Yes, let go with that. I have already the numerical data converter; I still need to construct the device to read and transfer it. It shouldn't take long."

-Why not insert a translater while where at it? Seeing the ever-growing amount of old books you and Winter gather from all around, there may have some who didn't have an existing translation, more so for ancient language.-

"Lets!"

~~~
Due to the already existing technologies, building the 'recorder' wasn't that difficult. A crystal ball was the solution. All he had to do was to switch in the book and activate the enchantment. The mithril runes circle engraved in the crystal would make the book levitate at its height, on the middle. From there the book would be opened, and pages by page, a flash would light in the darkened globe. A recorder and converter array would register the pages and the difference of light absorption from the ink and paper.
After that, it was merely the similar arrays used to inscribe music and films on the MFD. Likewise, a similar array installed in a digital tablet, made of simple enchanted crystal and a sheet of steel, along with an MFD player.
Once again, he had decades of technological progress on the mundane, with a single difference, the production of all his wears was 100% ecological as all was used were raw material transfigurate and magic.
Even his battery was ecological, as, being visible, it continually absorbs daylight to charge, or could run on his magic, being nearly immortal.
With still a few days before Christmas, Alex started his experiment on the SU improvement. All he had to do was to feed the printer with the raws materials and the data.
The best material turned to be aquamarine, in octagonal shape. The simple reason was that it offers a much better spacial stability than a cubic form. Thank the printer; he was able to pass from expansion enchantment to bottomless ones easily. While not bottomless, a single centimetre of aquamarine was able to sustain a ten-metre long cubic space (1,000 square metres), more than three times the already ameliorate mithril/diamond SU.
Another fact in its favour was the double-layered structure. While the core sustains the space, the outer shell was acting as protection and energy cell, constantly powering the enchantment with its charge and it easy exposure to sunlight.
Having now better SU, Alex sends a group of 100 'digger' in the American mountainous region, in search of the new material. With a little time on his hand, he constructs a new blast furnace. Thank expansion enchantment, the entire furnace wasn't more extensive than a ten centimetre high, five-centimetre square insulates pave.
An SU fixed on an enchanted base at the top, outside, would partially open and pour the metal into the chamber. The upper half was an expanded cubic chamber of a half cubic metre (0.5*0.5*0.5 metres). The lower half was an unexpended space containing a CU. The side was engraved with insulation enchantment and energy conversion, turning the energy inside the CU in heat.
Thank the various enchantment on, once the metal was melted entirely, it would fall out through a pipe with filters enchants, linked to SU, collecting the sludge and other impurities. As second, enchanted cube beneath the pipe exit contains the casts and cooling enchants, also provided with SU, activated by the absorbed and transformed heat in energy.
Like most of his creation, the artefact was running nearly on its own, just needing to change the SU and CU. In other words, he had an almost automatic ingot fabric.
Due to its nature, only the mithril, either from the leaves of extract from the corpse, was the only metal not needing to be processed.
~~~

While Alex was taking a well-earned rest from the last few days, Autumn appears with a letter f the ministry. Taking the said letter, send to Hogwarts, he smiles wickedly at the bill providing from the trial about the letters. Ironically, due to the nature of the trial, it hadn't needed a full Wisengamot session, only a jury made of three judges had deliberate with the proofs at hand, before applying the sentence. Result? A few new vaults will be soon much, much lighter.

"Get ready, Autumn, it time to give another visit to Gringotts!" Say Alex, his smile widening a little more.

~~~
In London, every accountant manager of the magical community feels a shiver down their spine. While not superstitious, all couldn't help but think that another tragedy would soon strike them. Only a single possibility appears in their mind, and all became white as a sheet.
Not five minutes later, a blaring siren resounds in the office of every account manager, announcing the arrival of their doom.
'Shit!'
