the end part 4

As much as the Lord of the Wisengamot, the ministry and Fudge wanted to hide it, the actual situation of the Wizarding Britain appears on the first page of the Quiblers special edition the following morning.

Learning that Fudge was bankrupted was a thing, knowing that he had taken in bribes for years, allowing the smooth reign of the upper class was another, but the fact that those so-called elite were now poppers leads to chaos.

It wasn't for the fact that they were penniless, but the fact that none of them would pay their employee for weeks until they catch up with the stack bills of expenditures.

When minor Houses learn that their husband daughters weren't so powerful anymore, feuds started to break everywhere, as they would be shielded against false charges for a while.

The rush while not organised, see a large contingent of family members appears in the ministry, firing spells the second they claim duel for their son-in-law. All this in the hope of winning over Manors or at least their content, and boosted their coffers.

The country rapidly falls into chaos, and every day, wizards died by tens. The situation had gone so far that it started to spill in the muggle world, forcing Amelia, who keep her job only due to the state of the country, to send Aurors.

They had first thrown incapacitating spells, but when the opposite side fired back with a deadly curse, it only needed a single Auror fightback on the same level to fuel the confrontation.

The ever-growing list of dead published every day by the Quiblers, who had immediately relocated France, was the only way for the international community to obtain pieces of information.

In less than a week, the already greatly diminished population of England falls to less than 500 wizards alive.

This bloodshed would later be taught in every magical community on the danger of inbreeding, as each fallen wizard spurred a family member to avenge it.

Ironically, this situation also took care of the danger of exposing the British community. As they were now too few to attract mundane attention, as most of the fight had switched to attrition war. Wizards would besiege the residence of their target, containing the battle to small space all around the British isles.

The incident sparked by Fudge greed and Amelia insecurities sees the extinction of Houses every day. Still, none would learn of it as both were killed by a coalition of Lord furious of at the state of their situation.

~~~
As one would think, the chaotic situation also leads to an unwanted situation. After the first weekend, hordes of mercenaries, thieves, and distant families members invade the shores of Merlin birthland, in hopes of stealing the spoil of war.
The first place they hit was the Alley, but to there surprise, disappointment and anger, the Alley was no more.
While the Leaky Claudron was still somewhat running, the passage had been closed without anyone able to know when. The few having memories of it apparition point attempted to apparate there directly, only to reappears, dismembered.
The state of the Alley thus became clear for all; someone had destroyed the Alley wards, making the commercing street of Britain to return to nothing but mundane land.
The news of the Alley disappearance was a hard blow to the community, ringing the end of the British magical land for most, only reinforced when a similar situation happens with the Ministry.
After losing two of its most iconic place, the market and government, the ICW declared the Britain community dead, condemning Hogwarts and Hogsmeade as a neutral land without affiliation nor power.
~~~

With the fall of England and its government, the remaining lords who stood once on Voldemort side were left with only a single hope of re-conquering the land. On the July, 30th 1992, a small army of Death Eaters in full regalia attacked Azkaban.

~~~
"Master, dark lords prepare to invade Azkaban."
"Thank you, Kreacher, be ready to lead the elves who joint us after the fall of the Ministry, to raid their House when the wards fall," Alex respond to the elf, raising from his seat facing the fireplace, moving the sleeping Susan delicately from his lap.
While she cut all links with her aunt, learning of the woman demise had still been a shock to her, making Alex now her single living family.
During the week, Alex had sent his elves spy on the situation of the community. Like Susan, he had been astonished on how quick think had degenerated. They had been stunned that it only needed them a single day before trying to murder and stole each other.
In less than a week, the body count had already passed 400 and was still growing. Very few families had fled outside Britain, and Alex assisted impassively at the Longbottom calling for help.
After loosing all they had and all she did, Augusta Longbottom still dared to demand assistance from House Potter, after the old alliance. All she obtain was a blasting curse to the head from Alex, before he cures the two Longbottom and gives them enough money to flee and start a life far from Britain.
The young Neville had been frightened with the death of his grandmother but still grateful to be able to see his parent again.
Before Franck ad the opportunity today anything, Alex made it clear that the Alliance was dead and will never be renewed between a Potter and Longbottom.
Learning that the old Alliance died under his generation had been an enormous blow to the man, still ignoring that they wouldn't be a single Potter left in the world soon.
~~~

After blowing up the older woman, Alex had enough with the stupidity of British wizards, and brought down the wards around the Alley, after raiding it thoroughly. Any shop was razed to the ground, and only a few tunnels under the past Gringotts building was proof that there had ever been a magical street in the middle of London.

Without the street and the dwindling population, the Ministry was of no use anymore, and thus, he raided it too.

By the time he did so, only the level from 1 to 8 was available, as the unspeakable had long since gathering their study experiment and migrate to the old continent government.

Even then, his gains had been enormous. The living place of all wizards families, all recorded in the ministry archives became him, alongside the hundred house-elves under the ministry jurisdiction.

The critters had been overjoyed to have a family to fall back, as none would have been able to survive long from the state of magical Britain.

~~~
While he gathered all the Archives, made of an impressive amount of banned books kept by the Ministry, he had no use for them. Since Hogwarts would be dead under the following months, Alex struck a last blow to the magical world.
All required knowledge was sent to the queen, alongside a copied book of admittance from the castle. Without the book, the castle will now meaningless as all magical children born on the English ground would be under the protection of the crown.
From the past community, only the castle, the village and the prison remains. Knowing that he had cornered them, Alex sends Kreacher spy on the dark side, wanting to know when they would act, and now was the time.
~~~

Exiting his house, Kreacher popped him to a small platform just out of the ward on the rock island. Initially, the platform was only a steep, serrated piece of rock, but under Alex ability, was turned into a platform large enough to house a small four-metre square cabin.

Turning around, he took of a crafted armour made of the shed basilisk skin gather a week ago. Made skintight, he put mundane t-shirt and pant, made of enchanted Arcomantula silk above. Only his head was left unprotected, as he put a pair of skin-toned gloves.

Taking the last items of the wall, he put a leather belt holding two knives. Put on the small of his back, one above the other, the knives blades were twenty-five centimetres long, leaving only the ten-centimetres-long handle seeable.

~~~
Both blades were made entirely of mithril, with a gold-mithril alloy for the runes. It turned out that gold had a ridiculously high affinity for runes carving, just below mithril. In mixing both, Alex discovers that nearly not magical energy was wasted.
Mithril was an excellent conductor, but gold had the highest storing capacity and powering when raffinate under magical fire. This was why the goblin didn't use it; they were completely unaware of the power of magical gold. For the goblin, gold was a synonym of rich, only good to flaunt their wealth, leading them never to try to discover it other proprieties.
Even if they did, Alex doesn't think they would have used it, since the process of creating magical gold was too costly. For just a kilogram of magical gold, a hundred kilogram of pure gold was a need, along with a powerful magical fire, akin to Fyendfire.
Needlessly to say, no sane goblin or wizard, depending on the value of gold, would do such thing. But for Alex? Gold was meaningless, only a sparky metal after knowing that the metal old such propriety, he turned a hundred ton of the purest gold into a ton of magical gold.
The other reason this metal wouldn't be used even if discovered was the fact that it stays in liquid form, and need at least to be mixed with two-third of more robust metal, to take a solid form.
From the information he had on the goblin, none had discovered a more robust, magically speaking, metal than magical gold. The Grindaxe, could have they didn't send all their snakes on the Island, but they didn't, and to this day, only mithril was able to support magical gold.
~~~

The twin's blade and a simple design, the first third, from the handle, was a straight 4-centimetre wide blade, before slightly incurving inside until the tip. The handle was made of Yggdrasil wood and the line of the rune on the side of the spine, on the right and left side. Enchanted with simple unbreakable and everlasting sharpness, with self-repair, the central cluster was used for a different feature that enhancing the knives cutting power.

~~~
Once he equips with his blades, Alex exit the cabin, looking at the sky, he only has to wait for a few minutes, before dots appear on the horizon. As measure they growth, Alex was able to discern twenty-eight silhouettes, all wearing black, on brooms. If the Ministry were still standing, none of the Deaths Eaters would have through to strike the prison, but now? When the DMLE and any other faction had fallen? They were free to wreak havoc.
Keeping in a simple V bird formation, they intrude in the wards of the prison.
-Time to put an end to those scrums.-
"Yes, let go," Alex responds darkly, following their example and start to run to toward the door at the base of the tower.
A slightly shorter chap, and the previous before the last one, enjoy^^
