Waking to his mates' side was a feeling Alex missed since his separation with Susan all those months prior. As he looks at the still sleeping three girls, Alex smiled before moving carefully to extract himself of their holds and swift place with Saya.

All three stopped to frown as they cuddle back, filling the hole his warm body made in moving. Once ready, Alex silently exits the room and goes down to prepare a large breakfast to feed all four of them. Eating his part, he put the rest under stasis and warming charms until they came down.

Climbing down two levels further, Alex parted the wall containing the heart runestone powering the wards. Connecting with them, Alex gasp as he felt the potent magic released from the ley lines under, pouring in them like a starved beast.

'The wards are as strong as if erected Decades ago. It's still nothing to those on the island, but it should be able to withstand most of the firepower actual weaponry could give, save a point-blank nuke of intensive and continuous bombardment.' Though him surprised but happy that they were rapidly gaining in power, protecting his land. Alex didn't fear much from the undead on the other side of the ward, but humans' desperate acts, once they will awake and realise the outside situation.

-It would be wise to take advantage of the situation. Most, if not all, of the world, is actually stopped. This is your best chance to gather a large amount of material and techs.- Said CS wisely. None of the two was opposed to plundering the still working, and undamaged tech around the world they know will soon stop, either due to time or damages done by third parties.

Thinking a second, Alex couldn't help but nod and founds CS advice sound.

'Let's wait until they wake; I will tell them what I plan and how long we will go. In the meantime, I have something I want to try.'

Returning to the second floor, Alex puts wards to warn him when the girls would wake en enter his workshop, ready to tinker and see his newfound project to maturation.

Less than two hours later, Alex looked with a small sense of satisfaction at the drone in front of him. For those unfamiliar with the piece of technology, most of the world at this point, the device was nothing more than an X shaped metal' piece, with a propeller at each end.

Putting the last piece, a thumbnail size reactor, the device flare to live on its charging base, and a 360° image appear on the curved crystal screen in front of Alex, thank the two fish eyes camera at the top and bottom of the drone. Opening the window to let his creation exit the room, Alex took the device's command and rapidly zoomed past the island.

Following the highway, Alex saw for the first time the city in itself since the start of the apocalypse. Contrary to what most would think, minor damages were visible, and streets were mostly clear as it happens right in the middle of the day, where most were at work or in school.

The only sight giving it away was the large cluster of black eggs littering the ground and the roaming undead already out of their magical cocoon. Looking through the street at a fast pace, Alex took several screenshots, immediatly registering in a folder in the mainframe of the premice of the first magical computer he was slowly building through the last past weeks.

Those images weren't just strategic images of a place of interest for him but also essential data. All those images had a set of numbers and runes, spatial coordinates that would allow him to apparate, even if their surrounding were to change for any reason radically.

As long as the ground wasn't raised to bury the set of coordinate, or now structure stood in its place, it would be child play for him to apparate there.

Alex first target was the docks and their large warehouse and containers wards in particular. As a port city, most of the Tokonosu route runs through the water roads before lorries deliver further inland. With the soon-to-be world-wild blackout he knows will come, Alex was perhaps the only one left with the capacity to keep the thousands of tons of processed meats and products.

With at least only a thousand of the world's population left, Alex knows all this would go to waste, so he saw no wrong in taking it for himself, as he had the means to take, preserve and protect it.

His second target was the different high-end place. Be it shops, museums, banks and the like, Alex wouldn't let their content be pillaged and possibly destroyed. While he wasn't fond of humanity, he wasn't about to let its inheritance go to waste and vanish in the sand of time.

It could be said to be quite hypocritical of him, as he would deprive humanity of his fruits and perhaps even the generation to come of their elders' works. However, he was still the only one able to ensure today's survival from the apocalypse.

His third target was military bases. As he was, Alex sorely lack in this trade knowledge, and now was perhaps the only chance he had to recovers a sample of humankind's different technological advancement.

Knowing that the survivors would require it, Alex left alone all small markets, them to feed. His last strike was the different zoo and preserve. With the state of the world, Alex knows that those already endangered species would face even greater peril, as none would be here to take care of them. By the time humans woke, the beast could be already dead, starved to death, if they even bother to look for them, something he had a hard time thinking they will.

Seeing that none of the girls was awake, still considerably drained with the events of the past few days, Alex chooses to recreate his 3D printers and launch the program to build several other drones. While the boxes were hard at work, Alex didn't stay idle and crafted automatons and screens for those drones. With a simple order implanted in them, they would take over the drone's control and scoot the world for him and compile data while working on the ground.

After leaving a message, Alex vanishes from the house to apparate on the docks he previously took a picture of through the drone. Alex barely brushes the closed doors that they ripple and seems to melts rapidly, forming large cubes of metals. Those ripples then spread to the rest of the warehouse until the roof started to leak and form puddles on the ground between the shelves full of products. In less than two minutes, the imposing building made of metal and stone was reduced to nothing, leaving only its shelves open to the outside world.

With a flick of his fingers, Alex sends a small coin he created from the doors on the masses of materials around. Cubes of stones, metals and entire shelves rapidly vanish from the place, took away by the Portkey struck on their surface.

The previous warehouse area was nothing more than a bare, flat ground of thousands of tons, made of concrete in less than half an hour. Even then, this very ground wasn't spared by Alex. As the minutes and hours grew, Alex slowly erased all trace of the artificial docks, stealing tons of the materials used, stored, and transformed on the place. All this was sent to his enormous warehouse to be later processed, separated and stored for later usage.

In his frenzies, Alex spared nothing, making his first step in erasing human hands' trace in disfiguring the natural environment and giving back to nature what she owns.

As he stared with the coast, Alex came rapidly in contact with the old highway connecting to his island, until he caves it, that it.

Looking at the sky, he could see the sun slowly going down, telling him that the day would soon end and it was time to go back. Steeping on the highway, Alex started to run slowly, vanishing the road behind him.

After returning from his first day of work, Alex directly apparates to the warehouse and pass another two hours shelving all the spoil of the day; Alex returned to the house.

"Alex!" He barely opens the door; then, he needs to catch the flying nurse and avoid crashing.

"Be careful, your silly girl." Said Alex, shaking his head her uncaring behaviour.

"Hehe."

Shaking his head at Shizuka childish behaviour, Alex greeted each of his girls before they sat and shared a meal.

"What do you plan to do now?" Asked Saya, knowing that Alex must have some plan for the following days.

"I plan to raid several places; I have already taken care of the dock on the shore, near the island."

"What about the undead?" Asked Rei, knowing that the number of them roaming around shouldn't be small.

"For most, I kept clear of the most populated zone of the city, but I did take care of several ones. Speaking of this..." Alex pushed his plate on the side, and deep blue crystals start to rain out of thin air.

"What is this?!" Shout Saya, sole among the three somewhat able to sense magic due to Alex past lessons.

"This," Said Alex as he took a mana crystal before absorbing it, much to the shock of the three." It is called Mana crystal, a concentrate of the magic from slain undead if you want a comparison, similar to monster cores, at the difference that instead of gaining extalia for slain monsters, this gives us them.

The point leads to another. It seems that my appearance had shifted some world laws, and if I have to guess, the sudden magical sleep is the cause of this. Human seems to have been, or more precisely are being gifted with a Flana. Unlike the previous mine, they aren't affiliated with gods but on your own.

I found out that I can bolster mine through absorbing the mana crystal but under several conditions. First, all those." Said him, sweeping his arm above the small stack. "Are the lowest of the lowest, Level 1 I rank crystal. Their value is worth 100 units, and once the mana Crystal absorbate, will be divided in STR, DEF, DEX, AGI, VIT, END, STA, ERG, MAG per 10 units."

"Wait a minute, that only nine stats! What about the remaining 10 units?" Saya immediatly spots the missing part, earning a proud smile from Alex.

"That the catch; the remaining 10 units are overloading magic set in you. If too much is absorbed in a short time, it will lead to poisoning and possibly death. As I didn't cross path with H rank undead yet, I can't be sure, but the values might keep the same logic."

"Meaning the higher amount of units and poisoning." Conclude Shizuka while observing a mana crystal with deep interest.

"Right in one." Nodded Alex. "I also think it's better, not overdone it and attempts to absorb a higher-ranked mana Crystal than your own stats; it wouldn't be wise."

"What now, then? How can we know what to take and what not?" Asked Rei, who until then kept quiet.

'I was already on this. I have several ideas, but the best would be to craft a device to measure those stats. As I have access to my own, I can easily tune the device once built by scanning my basic stats and then, after absorbing a crystal. I need Shizuka and Saya help to research and think of what type of device existing can help us. Through the knowledge, I will build several machines that simulate it and build a single device altogether later. Rei, I will need you on the physical side of the project. Building the device wouldn't take long, but I need to see if those very stats can be raised through practise too."

"Hmm, leave it to me!" Brightly smiled the orange-brunette, happy to be of some help, knowing she didn't have Shizuka medical expertise and Saya's brain.

Sorry, forgot the chap of yesterday, and too tired to proofread the one that should have been released today, double release tomorrow. I also update the AUX chap for those that are interested.
