how the smallest pleb crushed the giant part 3 (end)

While making his way slowly in the deep of the bank, he couldn't help but remiss what he learned of the fate of his clan.

The clan was old, ancient, going back further than merlin time. Birth in the cold mountains of Iceland, after the mundane Vikings, explored the land. Born from the beast of Skadi, goddess of Mountain, winter and hunt, named Evans, after the Vanes.

The clan itself was born from a cub who saved the life of their goddess and creator, Skadì. For its action, the Vanes blessed the cub, allowing it a human form. Njörd blessed the first Evans with good fortune on the sea. From Freyr he obtains prosperity and Freya bring magic in his veins, while it creator blesses it as the primordial hunter, ruler of the Mountain, and son of the winter.

From those blessing, the young cub turned man, had roamed the sea for a time, until discovering the Island that would become the land of his people. The blessing of the Vanes brought clan prosperity and riches. Before long, they established trading routes with the land that would become Norway, Germany and England.

As time passed, the clan grow until three hundred children were born from his blood. No matter what happens, the clan could not develop further than this numbers. Understanding that it was the will of it creator, the first Evans didn't seek war nor power, but enclose his peoples in the island, wanting to protect his blood from extinction.

As the centuries passed, History forgot the Evans, as the world never saw a single of it clansmen. Only goblins, the sole race to trade ores and stones to the Clan keep knowledge of its existence.

Pushed by their greed as the riches the clan would have left-behinds, two clans eliminated every remaining trace of their existence from history, wanting to be the sole benefit from them. One of them was one of the founding clan of the British branch of Gringotts, the Hammerfall Clan. Using its wealth of ores, they were the principal reason who see the bank rapidly rose in power.

What the other Clans were ignoring was that particular clan allied itself with another, the Grindaxe clan.

This clan was despited by the entire Nation, known as thieves and betrayer. They would cause pilferage, raid, rape and kill without remorse their brethren.

They were the origin of the Hammerfall' ores wealth. From the alliance, the clan would provide stolen and pillaged ores and gemstones from the raid for a safe dwelling in the island, hidden from the gazes of the rest of the Nation.

They were the reason for the existence of the 'Brethren fall'. After faking their destruction at the hand of the Nation, the clan had schemed, plotted rift between clans all around the globe, raiding the aftermath, securing both their position, the Hammerfall clan in England.

While the Hammerfall were the public face, Grindaxe were the shadow, roaming the seas and land, in search of the dwelling of the Evans.

Sadly for the Evans Clan, they were successful. In 1459, a goblin going by the name of Bloodteeth, Father of Bloodbones tracked down a young of the clan. As the clan needed still supplies, they had contracted a British House help to acquire say supplies. At first, this House was still young and simple potters.

With the trade, this particular House rapidly raises in power to become Potter House. It was the specific raise that had alerted the goblin. With the bribing of support to become a proper pureblood house, House Potter quickly betrayed the ones who had made them what they were now.

With the joint efforts of the Grindaxe clan and a Parselmouth Potter, they created a new breed of snakes. Knowing the importance of Ashwood for the Clan, they made a particular snake who would feast on them, and bring down the wards of the island. Ten years later, the project was a success, and the Grindaxe clan raid the land in 1488 when the wards fall.

The war was short but brutal, with only a single year, the invading force slaughtered the 599 Clansmen. But as much as the Goblins would have loved to feast at the victory, they couldn't. The only reason was that the Clan, while becoming extinct, safe from a single member, had also decimated the two thousand force of invading goblins.

Without survivor on their side, the raid was a failure, and the Clan threatened to become extinct too.

What they hadn't through, was that the only Evans survivor had kept some of they brethren alive. After months of torture, he finally found the dwelling position and raid place, slaughtering the remaining 300 goblins there.

~~~
Like the Evans, only a single member survive, Bloodbones. Hidden by the Hammerfall Clan, turning the orphan into a minor clan of the founding Clan, they hoped for any Clansmen of the Evans to appear again.
With the fall of the Grindaxe dwelling, they lost all information as of the island position. As they couldn't publish it existence, they gritted their teeth at the loss of their ally, as had they made a move, the Nation would have discovered the truth.
After that, Bloodbones had to keep an eye on the Potter accounts. The goblin had been stunned when he receives news of the establishment of an Evans House and its link to Potter'. From this, he passed years to track down the origin of the family and became excited when discovering that it was the same Evans from the Clan.
Contrary to Wizard, Evans had sent their squibs child in the mundane world with a little wealth, hopping that should a catastrophe fall on the clan, one of their descendants would manifest magic and rebuilt the clan.
The coincidence of an Evans descendant to be with a Potter was nearly impossible, but it had happened, no knowing, at the time it wasn't intentional but premeditated.
The two clans had then plotted from the following years, waiting for the arrival of the last scion of both families to come to the bank. Fate had seemed to smile at them when they hear of his upbringing, and thus they had tried to legally acquire what they aimed at and lost a whole clan for nothing else than failure.
The death of Bloodbones had been a harsh blow for Kneebuster; it was the reason he had appears at the time. Now that he knows the truth, Alex couldn't let this opportunity past.
~~~

From the memories, Alex learns a piece of crucial information. First was the fact that the clan, other than the Accountants and Kneebuster, didn't have security businesses, but mines and metalwork or jewellery. All those of age were either miner, refines of work with the ores extract of the soil under Gringotts ownership.

With them suppling the nation in swords, axes, knives, spears, armour and jewellery, they had seen their diminishing income swore back to impressive wealth, only guarded by a minimal taskforce of private guards of the clan. The rest, principally women and young would stay in the dwelling cavern they own, enchanting armour and weapons, or crafting pieces of jewellery.

Another information was that, with their clients in jail, Kneebuster, was the only goblin above the surface, as the others were looking for a way to enter their Accounts vaults and grow their riches legally. Only the Laws of Gringotts were staying their hands.

~~~
Avoiding the patrols by hiding in the shadow, Alex made his way slowly in the tunnels. From the memories, he learns that each clan has its cavern and rarely if ever, receive visitors from others, as each protects its secrets jealously.
This paranoia would play positively in his aim, as he would assure him that none would appear suddenly. Oh, he did not doubt that goblins will came, after they regain consciousness, but this wouldn't happen until some hours, leaving him enough time to at least dry the Vaults of the goblins.
How? Simple. After integrating the schemes of the 'primal amber' running simulation to emulate the phenomenon through other means had been easy, if a little time-consuming.
~~~

Entering soundlessly in the cave where the clan lived, he sneaks into houses to close hidden secret passage, through abusive usage of his craft magic. While hid mostly beneath enchantment and mechanisms, the fact remains that rocks were hollows and that was all he needed. His task done, he made his way in the high grounds, creating a niche. Looking at the sight beneath, he couldn't help but feel a slight apprehension. Below him, thousands of goblins were strolling.

While the majority were either elderly, child, and women, they were still around three thousands of them. On the far walls, far from any dwelling and tunnel, was a single entrance heavily guarded, the vaults.

Hiding back in his makeshift cavern above the abode, he takes out a cube of beechwood, a phial of 'Brethren fall' and few others material. After sealing the entrance, he forms glass orbs, that were floating above a burning fire. Rather than filling the closed room, the volutes of smoke were absorbate in the globs.

Looking at them, he could see a liquid form in the glass bubbles, slowly raising. Nodding at this, he delicately opens a phial of blue-green viscous liquid. As the ten drops dripped on the twelve orbs, the white liquid turns pale blue-green.

Putting away the first phial, he reproduces the operation with an arctic blue one. Those two phials were the liquid form of the brethren fall and his poison, respectively. Feeding wood to the enhanced burner astronomical quantity of beechwood smoke rose, the orbs were full an hour later, ready to use.

~~~
After crafting those twelve orbs, I called the elves, tugging on our shared link.
"How's work?"
"Everything is done, master!" Responded Autumn.
"Good, here your new work, behind this wall his the dwelling place of the Hammerfall clan. I want each of you to take two orbs, apparate in the cave, and drop them, before returning. Make sure to cover the entire cavern."
I could see their expression harden when hearing where we were. As the elves vanish with their charge, I take out an ingot of goblin steel, Turning it into a low mask covering the mouth and nose, while the runes appear.
The rebreather had a simple function, to filtrate the fume that is filling the cave. I had barely the time to craft a mask for my eyes, that they all return. Before acknowledging them, I prepare another set of twelves orbs, before twelves five centimetres cube.
Hadding the rune scheme on diamond heart takes a little longer, but I rapidly did it.
~~~

"Alright, here are your next task. Here a the same glob than before, it will clear the smoke, just put the orbs where you drop the first. Be sure to protect your face and eyes; I don't know the effect it would have on you. Those," I said, taking a cube. "Are storage cube, all you need to do is to push a little of the magic in the circle you could see at the top. It will open the cube in eight smaller ones, and form a five-metre long, large and wide cube. The inside will be empty as its a folded space. You will be able to put the ashes and metals nuggets. Separate them, then raid the house of everything. I will go to the vaults and start to clean them if you need more, ask me. Autumn, you're on collecting duty, with Spring while Winter, Summer Ash and Thunder, the house, go."

I see each of them take two orbs and cubes, before vanishing again. The elves, gone, I open back the wall, after wearing my protection. The second I did so, a large amount of smoke enter the cave, filling it in a second.

~~~
'At least it was rapid; I don't think they would have time to escape.'
-I don't think too. Not only must the smoke paralyse the goblins, but the brethren fall inside would have killed them, and your poison turns them into dried husks, and then ashes.- Responded CS to him.
As he made his way outside the human-made cave, he could see nothing more than a large opaque light blue cloud with an undertone of green. Even then, it was rapidly decreasing, sucked back in the orbs the elves just spread around the cave.
As the visibility return, he could finally see the aftermath of his action. There, under his feet, lies the corpse of an entire clan of goblins, slain by his hand. Elderly, child, female, he had spared no one. Was it anyone else, they would have to feel dread at sight, but for Alex? It was the end of a feud started by the goblin. Finally, he had avenged his clan extermination.
~~~

After looking emotionlessly at the stack of ashes spreads around the cavern, he made his way, while following the wall of the cavern. Looking down to were the guards previously stood, only stacks of ashes, half burying armour with weapons around stood. Leaving it to the elves, he passes them into the surprisingly clean corridor.

Large of five good metres, with buried track and carts, he made his way to the first door. Breaching the wards didn't take long when he confirms that the set up was similar to the one under Surrey.

Entering, he wasn't surprised to only see a small stack of Galleons, roughly worth a thousand or two. Spread as hardly on the ground, he walks around, making the coins assemble into towers, on a small rock table from the floor.

Taking a cube, he crafted on the spot, the storage unit separate in height part, each with a corner made of diamond. The separated cubes immediately start to melt; forming the contour of a 5*5*5 cube linked by the steel, and diamond corner.

Pushing the empty cube on the Galleon, it seems to pass through, until he sends a pulse of magic in it. The hidden runes on the diamond shone for a second before he sends a second pulse, making the cube crumble back to what it was first, vanishing all the Galleons previously on the table.

-How did you come with a result like that?- Asked CS visible curious of the feat of magic he assists.

'Simple. The core of the device is made of the diamond; it supports the enchantments. It programmed to separate in eight cubes, using the metal as a framework to give a representation of the space it contains. After that, its simple folded space. I used the principle of the bottomless pouch, along the way the rail of the Hogwarts express is hidden. The exterior of the cube is not here but hidden in folded space. I could only see it since it runs on my magic. Once I put it as I wish, I activate the rune, the cube return into our reality, before returning to it folded state, taking everything inside with it. After that, the cube folds back, activating the enchant present on the pouch to store it while the physical representation is a five-centimetre cube.'

-So, the perfect thief tool.- Resume CS.

'Yup! I still need to work on the space interaction, allowing me to manifest it, even in a restricted space, but it would means interacting on a dimensional level, I'm not there yet.' Say Alex back, while exiting the Vault for the following one.

~~~
The following Vault would be similar, being trust Vault of a child, they wouldn't contain much. Only by going deeper would he found more consequential ones. Seeing the different mix of gold, silver and copper coin in the cube, he frowns before taking out blocks of woods. As the blocks stood in the air, it rapidly changes to meter square crate of 31*31 crisscrossed square.
He also made of 37*37 and 45*45. Taking out the cube, the three crates were added to it, before he put Galleon, Sikles and Knuts in respectively. From the way those were made, he would be able to stock 470,890G (23,544,500 P); 670,810S (1,972,970.59 P) and 992,250K (100,633.87P) respectively in.
The further the way in, the longer he needs to crack open the vault and empty them. Thankfully, after two other hours, he was rejoined by the elves.
~~~

"You are already done. How?" Asked Alex curious, as he knows that the workshop must have tons of refined ores, gems and tools."

"Autumn has been fetching stretchy trunk." Responded Spring.

"Ha! I see, good job, Autumn." Praised Alex, much to the delight of saying elf." Alright, everyone. Here are how they were going to do this. I crack the vaults open, and you clean them." Waving his hand, crates of the three size appears, stacking in the corridor. "The smallest for Galleon, medium for Sickles, and the largest for Knut, everything else in either trunk or directly in the cube!"

Hearing his order, they all nod and scurry away to work. Not a few minutes later, Alex would be assisted by Ash in cracking the wards. Not only it accelerate their cadence, but allow Alex to keep some magic.

Due to their extensive knowledge of the wards and the two types of magic working together, they breeze through the door, barely needing more than five minutes each. No matters the difficulty, the now ownerless Vaults had lost a great deal of their initial defence powered by the clan magic.

The initial thousand turn into tens and hundred, before skyrocketing to tens of millions each at least. Mixed in them were the craft of the owner, either keep or waiting to be sold. The elves rapidly burn throughs tens of every time of crates, racking in an absurd amount of gold, silver and copper.

~~~
Four hours after he entered the tunnel and three since they start to plunder the clan, the elves had already fill eight cubes to their maximum capacity from the Vaults alone. After three hours of constant curse-breaking, Alex, finally, was left with the most rewarding, the elders and clients Vaults.
It had been an agreeable surprise for him to discovers the Vaults of the dead accountants there. CS was the one to make him remember that since the condemned owner hadn't access to them, it falls on their accountants to make sure they guard the Vaults until the next owner appears.
When he sees the Black Vault too, he understands that Sirius was still the head of the Black family and that Walburga was dead. AS the man was in jail, Gringotts froze the Vaults, until the Wisengamot release him.
"Too bad for him they won't be a knut left after today."
-What about the locket?-
'I was also thinking about this, and I think I had the way to do it easily, that and another one.'
After a short break, both Alex and Ash return to work, breaking the resting place of the wealth of the Hammerfall clan.
~~~

The moment he broke the last ward defending the Vaults of Kneebuster, and the door open, Alex couldn't help but gasp at the sight. Anyone could easily mistake the content of the Vaults with a sea of gold. Towers of Galleons rising as hight as two time his size was filling his view. When he threw a coin above them, he needed few second for it to fall, only sending back sound of metal against metal, as the sole indication of the deep of the vaults.

"Let's go to work." Said him with the elves at his side, shivering with excitement at the occasion to plunders such wealth. While they were filling crates at a crazy rate, Alex needs to form them by three to keep up.

Rather than filling crate by crate, he was filling cube in one go, absorbing 125 stacked one-meter high wooden box at a time. The moment he had a little time, he immediately took a four-centimetre diamond cube out of his pocket space. A minute later, he carves the last runes on, and the cube was covered with steel, forming the first ten-centimetre cube with a space of 1,000 square meters (10*10*10), allowing him to store an equal thousand crates worth of gold, silver, copper, gemstones and different items. To be sure, he made another seven cubes, before exiting the Vault and start to work on the Dark House Vaults.

Due to their nature, and the fact that Alex had slain the Accountants, he didn't even need to break the wards, as he was recognised, original owner. Only the Black Vaults would have required such thing, if the man-child hadn't made him the next Heir inline, allowing equally free passage.

While not as consequential as the goblins Vaults, they were still millions of Galleons, Sickles and Knuts in each of the 26 Vaults. Not only money but also precious books, artefacts, potions ingredients and the like littered them.

-It indeed Quirrelmort war chest, I still don't understand how he didn't make the island fall under his reign the first time.-

'Because Wizards are idiots?'

-It not stupidity at this point. I don't know what kind of mental illness is developing in this cesspool of inbreeding ground, but you better get the fuck out of there before your infected.- Said CS half-seriously, not sure that there wasn't something similar waiting to inject them.

'I don't plan too. Once we're done here, we return to Hogwarts, clean the RoR and wait to Christmas break to trap Quirrelmort and start cleaning the Horcrux.'

-Remain me why we still need to of the fucker?-

'Once, because I own it to Lily, two, some of the best artefact I target are under his anchor possession. The Cup, the diadem and the Diary are a good piece of magic I intent to collect and study. I have already the wand and cape; I plan to gather the stone to and broke them. I don't know if it death having a grip on them, but those tools had nothing to do in this world, its time for them to return to their creator.'

-Your not interested in the cape?-

'I do, but it would be useless in One Piece, with Haki present, plus it flowed, I can create better enchantments more useful.'

-Good to know.-

~~~
It was only when they near the six-hour count that they finish cleaning all vaults when he sees the time, Alex sight in relief, as the goblins wouldn't stay knocked out much longer.
"Is there everything gathered?" Asked him the elves.
"Yes, master." Responded Autumn.
"Good, let get out of here." Nodding at the little elf, he sends every storage cube in his pocket space before they vanish from the place.
~~~

Above the underground tunnel, the 55 accountants started to wake up one by one. With memories fresh of what they have seen from the traitor of the Hammerfall clan, they banded together, declare an emergency and closed the bank in the middle of the day, throwing out any wizards in the hall.

While the Alley' was still surprised by the sudden lockdown of the bank, hordes of armed goblins were gathering in the cavern under the bank. In less than ten minutes, a full task force of two thousand fifth hundred of goblins was still as a rock, perfectly organised in rank and lines, with the 55 accountants in front of them.

The movement of so many troops immediately worried the other clan undergrounds, fearing an uprising. To counter any change, every other clan ready immediately move toward the gathered troops, each bringing five hundred worth of warriors behind them.

When those ten clans gather in the cavern, creating a gathering of seven thousand and fifth hundred, they were stunned to see them still present, not even unsheathing arms.

The passive response takes off some of the stress but still made the clan leader warry.

"What the meaning of this." Shouted the oldest goblin present.

All know the laws of the Nation, raising a force of more than twenty-five without prior demand and authorisation could be seen as an act of rebellion. When they heard that the gathering cranked it to a hundred, it was natural that the other had through of a hostile take over of the branch.

"Elder Fralenght, the Hammerfall had link with the Grindaxe."

Those nine words spoken from the leading goblin of the task force had the effect of a cold shower on all the other still unaware. No one would utter those world without knowing the consequences if they were lies.

All know the Nation had a deal with the clan. If another were to spoke of them, it was a foregone conclusion that heads would roll, either there or the Grindaxe clan one.

"Soldier, march!" Barked Elder Farlenght, trusting his brethren.

As a single goblin, the troops of seven thousand fifth hundred strong made the tunnels of Gringotts trembles under their might. Like a swarm of locust, they broke through the sealed passage, barely stopped by them, invading the cavern.

When the last goblin enters the ground, all unconsciously shiver at the dead silent cave. If it weren't for the ominous chilling air present, all would have thought that they had fled. But the goblins weren't like other magical race, they were warriors, and all had experienced the battlefield.

The dread they were resenting at the moment had only a single origin they were familiar with, slaughter. Leaking the troops to the most secure part of the land, Elder Farlenght was the first to be subjected to the sight of the open Vaults doors.

As all made way in the eerie silence, the tension rise as they pass more and more secure Vaults, all empty to the single knut. They stop dead set in front of the wealthless Vaults of the Hammerfall elder and manager of the bank, Kneebuster.

"How long?" Asked Elder Farlenght, in a strangled voice, white at sight.

"Six hours." Responded darkly Elder Durdarg.

Those were all the words they need to understand the gravity of the situation.

"Who?" Asked again in a shaking voice the elder, unable to take off his eyes of the sight, still having difficulty to accept the situation.

"Heir Potter."

At the only Red listed client to ever walk in the hall of Gringotts, all take a deep breath. Without knowing of it, Alex had instilled what goblins had never felt when dealing with wizards, fear.

The glazed eyes of Elder Farlenght snap back before his face turned cold as the stone they live in.

"Report to the Nation, the English branch of Gringotts is unable to deal with the threat of the Heir Potter and mark him as a black threat."

The cold world of the elder brought fear in the heart of every goblins present and would spread to the rest of the underground community. A red-listed client was one of the highest recognition one could receive from a branch. It would tell to any goblin that the individual wasn't to be cared for without respect.

A black threat was a mark of fear. Putting one under the mark would send word to the nation that the clan present would surrender, should it attacks, and allow it clear way to the riches they safeguards.

Its could be seen as treason, if not proven to be a threat. With those words, Elder Farlenght had put the lives of every goblin here under the blade of the Nation. Should The Nation not recognise the Heir Potter as a threat, the Nation would purge the entire Gringotts branch.

I know I promised four, but it turns out that I erase a good part of this started chap, before continuing. I still intend to give you the fourth one, but it will be under the form of a double release on Sunday.

See you soon and take care. ^^
