"Bye, Dad," said Chan-Mi for the eleventh time to her Dad. They were at the airport, sending off her parents and siblings. 

Anton just kept patting Chan-Mi's back and frequently saying, "Come what may. Come what may."

"Yes, Dad. You said it a lot of times already," reminded Chan-Mi, trying to hold down her sighs. "So go now. You may have retired by you still keep tabs on the company. Grandma and grandpa also need some tender love and care."

"I'm just worried that I am leaving you here," said Anton with a sigh. He turned to his wife and saw how Yanmei had been shaking her head. 

It was two days after he had that talk with Chan-Mi. They somewhat cleared the tension between them, with Anton promising to step back.
