404 Chan-Mi's Promise

"Did you like your class today, sweetheart?" Anton asked, seeing Chan-Mi come out of her classroom. 

She nodded and grabbed the hand he was offering. She confirmed, "Yes, daddy. We talked about landscapes today and I think I want to start making one when we arrive."

"Already?" He asked. "But we have dinner later to prepare for."

Puzzled, Chan-Mi asked, "Dinner? We always have dinner, Daddy?"

"No, tonight, your aunts and uncles will come by for dinner," said Anton. 

"Oh, why, Daddy?" She asked. 

Her answer left Anton with a sigh. 'She really did forget.'

"Because they want to see me," Anton answered back while gently leading the way outside of the building. "Let's get going."

The drive to the mansion was a long one, especially for the birthday celebrant. He kept sneaking glances at Chan-Mi, who was so engrossed in googling landscape masterpieces.
