6.THE PROMISE

Aloshi can't believe what the teacher had said.. He didn't want to look at his father. Amritha left the class,but he didn't even bother to look her.

Aloshi's father : Madam, what will I do... I am sorry for him being scoring less. It's all our mistake..

Aloshi was speechless.... His father begged for him...

Teacher: Listen sir, Aloshi definitely is a brilliant boy...but I don't know what had happened to him... He wasn't like this before...

Aloshi's father : Madam, Please give him a chance...( Aloshi's father bow his head)

Aloshi in mind : No Appa please... don't beg for me..

Teacher: There is way.. CP .. Conditional Promotion.. We can promote him..but with certain conditions...

Aloshi's father : Is it..!

Teacher :He must have to score above 90 percent mark in the first term exam ,adding he must have to sign on a declaration regarding the same..

Aloshi's father : Okey Madam, Go ahead...

Teacher : Okey then.,. The classes will start from next week onwards.

Aloshi's father : Thanks you .Madam..

At home....

Aloshi's mother : What is the matter with you.. Can't you see your father working all day for teaching you.. We had send you to the most popular school in town.. How can you do this to us.. I can't even imagine..... Aloshi..... You had failed..... Look at your cousin Anand even he had scored better than you....

Aloshi's father : Give him some rest... We can talk later..

Aloshi's mother : Can't you please be on my side for atleast once ... Like father like son....Anyway go wash your hands... Lunch is ready....

Aloshi: I am not hungry.....

Aloshi's father : What is today's special....

Aloshi's mother : Beef.

Aloshi . : Maaaaaa, am hungry ... Give me something to eat.....

A smile flashed on Aloshi's mother face.....

At that night Aloshi can't sleep.... and the reason was not Amritha..... He can't forget his father's face...

(Knock at the door).... Aloshi are you asleep.....( It was Aloshi's father)

Aloshi : No Appa.... Just come in...

Father : Why are you not sleeping.

Aloshi : Nothing Appa.....

Father : Aloshi, I knew that someone had influenced you.... Someone is in your mind.. Yes it's true to have someone in mind at this age....

Aloshi : I know.... Is it Amma.....

Father : Yes.... Who else....!

(Both of them laughing).....

Father : What is her name ?

Aloshi : Amritha..

Father : Listen Aloshi, love is not something that we need to beg,... It's something we must earn...

Aloshi : I am sorry Appa..

Father : Sorry for what....!

Aloshi : For letting you down...

Father : It's okey Aloshi... You have one more chance don't spoil your life ....

Aloshi : No Appa, I will study...

Father : Sleep.... Everthing will be fine...

But Aloshi can't sleep that night.... He recollected what his father had said.. At that night he had made a  PROMISE.... A strange one....

The school had reopened..... All the familiar faces of 11 C were now promoted to 12 C.. Everyone was happy to see their friends after a long time.. The classes had started.... Aloshi listened carefully to each and every topics... Anand was surprised to see Aloshi's behaviour.... He doesn't even looking at Amritha..

Anand : Aloshi... Your Amritha is so beautiful today...

Aloshi : My Amritha, Anand don't you know she is our Abhijith's girl....

Anand : What the hell!!!!

Aloshi :Yes Anand , I love her... But now I accept the reality.. I am not her type...and I can't be.... So I am not wasting my time.....

Anand : You are crying ...

Aloshi : No am not......

Anand : Okey ,whatever.... So your are on the right track.

Aloshi : Hope soo....

Amritha : Hey ,Abhijith I was absent yesterday, can you give me your physics note book...

Abhijith : I don't write really well...and you can't read also... Aloshi's note is perfect... You ask him...

Amritha : Okey.....

Aloshi was busy writing something...

Amritha : Hey....

Aloshi : Hey.... (No special facial expression )

Amritha : Can you please give me you physics notebook.....

Aloshi : Hm..Physics... Oh today we have physics subject.... I forgot it... I didnt bring ....

Amritha : Oh it's okey.... I will ask to some one else...

Aloshi. : Hm. Okey...

Anand was sitting near to him... He heard the whole conversation.....

Anand : Today morning I borrowed a book from you...

Aloshi : Yes I knew... It was physics .. isn't it....

Anand : Then why this showoff....

Aloshi : Because of a promise.....

Anand : What promise.... !

Aloshi : Finish the homework fast.... Times up.....

Aloshi : Hey Akshaya , how is thing going..

Akshaya can't believe her eyes.. Aloshi is talking to her....and that to boldly.

Akshaya : Going good Aloshi... I really can't believe that you spoke..

Aloshi : Now you can.....

Akshaya : You had changed a lot.. Your appearance ,style everything had changed.... To be frank I like it....

Aloshi : Haha... You had said the same dialogue to many..... Atleast find something new... and don't scale people based on beauty... And I really know your whole story....

Akashaya : This isn't you Aloshi... What had happened to you.... What made you act like this....

Aloshi : A promise........

Aloshi walked..... Akshaya stared at him....
