'I just ruined my only chance of getting hired in this place too, didn't I?' Walking out of the interview room, Mina thought in a downcast mood, 'They must be talking about how rude I was for randomly applying into their company…'

'Oh, right… he told me to wait.' Remembering Kay's words about how after the interview, he wanted to talk to her about the happenings of the previous night, Mina walked toward the waiting area of the interviewees as she sat in a corner.

Twenty minutes elapsed quickly. Right now, Mina was thinking in utter confusion, 'Hmm, that reminds me of something… he was so bloody last night… but why did he seem so fine just now? How did he heal so fast? Could his injuries have been less severe than I thought? How-'

As she was proceeding with her deliberation, however, her contemplation was cut off by a familiar voice, "Mina! Is that you? What are you doing here?"

Snapping out of her thoughts, looking at the source of the voice, Mina froze immediately. Her face also went a bit pale. This was happening because the person before her was… Annu! Her cheating boyfriend!

Well, officially at least. As he was still her boyfriend in name… since they hadn't broken up just yet.

Mina, however, wasn't yet ready to face this cheating boyfriend of his calmly. At least, not yet.

Nevertheless, knowing there was no time to prepare, she could only voice, "I-I'm here for an interview… why are you here yourself?"

In the meantime, the memories of that night kept repeating itself within her mind as she felt like one dagger after another was being stabbed right into her heart over and over.

"M-me? Well… I was transferred to this branch of the Constantine Corporation around a month ago… ah, sorry for not telling you, since the opportunity to inform you never came up." Explained Annu a bit anxiously.

'Bullshit!' Thought Mina to herself very angrily.

While on the outside, trying her best so as not to show any of her true feelings, she said, "Is that so? I see…"

Meanwhile, Annu, cursing his rotten luck, thought, 'Damn it! Why would I meet her here? She's not going to get hired here, now is she? No… that can't happen at all costs! Fuck, just when I thought she had stopped bothering me!'

Externally, however, showing her a kind smile, she inquired, "But, weren't you working in a modeling company as a part-time model? What happened to that?"

"Oh, that? I got fired. So I came here. We're so lucky to bump into each other like this, right? We might even work together and be colleagues." Voiced Mina immediately, unconsciously, her tone a bit chilly at this point.

Hearing this, as beads of sweat were already rolling down his face, Annu phrased with a bitter laugh, "Hahaha! Right? We could be colleagues! How wonderful is that?"

"Yeah… anyway, since I already went inside and gave my interview, I'll be leaving now. See you later, Bye." Not waiting for him to mouth anything else in response, turning around, she began walking away. The moment she had turned around, however, a cold glint, so cold it could probably freeze a river of molten lava, momentarily passed through her eyes.
