It was July. The sun was scorching hot while the air was humid and stuffy.

In Shengxi orphanage, a older lady was sobbing while holding hands with a cute and beautiful young girl. She was very happy and almost jumped on the little girl.

"Mian Mian", an older lady sobbed.

The little girl was startled and looked with mist in her eye.

" This is your mum", the lady at the orphanage said.

"Mian mian, it's me Mum", she smiled.

" Okay", she said indifferently.

"Let's go, I'll take you home now", the lady said.

" I am Zhang Qin. You can call me Mum", she said when they got to the car.

"Okay"

"That's my girl", Zhang Qin said.

" Your father and sister are nice and I know they'd like you", she continued.

"Okay", Mian Mian replied.

" I have prepared a very nice bedroom for you and you'll resume school with your sister tomorrow. I don't know what you like and dislike but I know we'll get along soon. You can talk to me about amything", she said.

"Okay", she said sleepily.

" You can have some sleep", Zhang Qin said.

Qiao family house,

"Coughhhh....what are you doing?", Zhang Qin asked.

" Sir told us to disinfect the house and other people coming in", the housekeeper said.

"Get lost", Zhang Qin said.

Mian mian was quite surprised with the beauty of the house.

"Mian mian, say hi to your dad and sister", Zhang Qin said.

" Hi dad, hello sister", she said.with the heads down.

"Hi, I am Qiao Chen and your sister is Qiao Qin", the man said.

" Hello, you can call me Qinqin", she said

"Hi, I am Mianmian", she replied.

" Qinqin, take your sister to her room", Zhang Qin said.

"Okay, mum"

"Help her with her luggage", she said.

" Come down soon for dinner", Zhang Qin said.

"Okay mother", they said.

"Isn't this room girlish?", Mian mian asked.

" Heyyyy. Do you think I am being nice to you. I hope you will know your place in this house", Qinqin said.

"Sister", Mianmian said pitifully.

" Don't call me sister and I want you to keep your distance from me at school ", Qinqin said.

" Did I do anything wrong?", she asked

"Ever since Dad heard about you, he's been going on and on about you that they don't care about me anymore", she said

" Just don't push your luck", she said to Mianmian.

Qiao Qin snorted and left the room.

"Isn't she too cold", Qiao Mianmian said while arranging her clothes.

" Mianmian, dinner is ready!", Zhang Qin said.

At the dinning hall,

" Mianmian, sit beside me", Qiao Chen said.

"Dad, that's my seat!", Qiao Qin shouted.

" Let Mian Mian sit there today", he said

"It's okay. I'll sit beside mother", Qiao Mianmian said.

" Poor child!", Zhang Qin said.

Qiao Mianmian wasn't used to the food at the city and only ate a little. She then said goodnight and went back to her room. There was a brand new phone beside her pillow and a black phone case.

"At least, they gave me something in black", she smiled.

She took out the phone and was surprised everything was.set already. She saved some numbers she collected at the orphanage and her former school and sent messages to her friends. She was about to go to bed when she received a call from her friends.

" Danyi, why am I seeing pink behind our black lady", Xue Xi asked.

"Jiayi, why aren't you saying anything?", Danyi asked.

" I am just surprised ", she said.

" Stop teasing me" Miammian said.

"Madam, how's everything?", Jiayi asked.

" Hmmmm, my parents are kind and caring but my sister is like a gentle bitch", she said.

"Who taught you that word?", Danyi asked.

" If not Xue Xi", she snorted.

"Its okay but I think you should ignore you sister and be yourself", Danyi said.

" Okay", she said.

"So, which school do you want to attend?" Jiayi asked.

"I.don't know yet but I think it's a prestigious school", she said.

" You still don't know the name?", Dianyi asked

" Our Mianmian is finally a rich young lady", Xue Xi screamed.

"Yes and she can marry a young master", Danyi said

"I am already imagining things. Mianmian would get married to a handsome young master and have the biggest wedding of the year", Jiayi said.

" Me too", she said

" Mianmian knows everything already, even university subjects", Xue Xi said.

"Tell me about it", Danyi sighed.

"Let's see how your room looks like", Xue Xi said.

" Yes, let's sęe", Danyi and Jiayi said in unison.

"Woah, why does this place look some much like a castle?" Xue Xi said.

"Princess Mian, I'll forever worship you", Danyi screamed.

"You guys should stop exaggerating and you, Xue Xi, isn't your room like this?", Mianmian asked.

"Let princess Mian rest cos tomorrow will be a long day", Danyi said.

" I'll call you back tomorrow", she said.

"Wait, what if Lin Rui asks for you number?", Xue Xi asked.

" Tell him I've not gotten a phone yet", she said

"Okay".

" Good night", she said.

Qiao Mian put down her phone and laid on her bed. She thought about Lin Ruo and smile sadly.

"I liked him but he chose another girl over me without feeling bad" she muttered.

"I'll make him.regret it. I wonder where he is now"

She was thinking about her new school before she slept off.
