[Ding!! Congratulations! You have been Sponsored by BlackHeart to be Transmigrated to another world!]
Ain was dumbfounded as a virtual message suddenly appeared before him.
"What's this?"
Just a moment ago, he had been at home, casually browsing Reddit on his phone. Then, out of nowhere, a terrible headache hit him, and he lost consciousness.
He wasn't sure how long he'd been out, but when he came to, he found himself in an unfamiliar place.
Looking around, he realized he was in a dark, unfamiliar room. There was a window nearby, but outside...
The sky was gloomy, with dark clouds hanging low. The world seemed like an ink painting stained with gray.
"ಠ__ಠ"
"Can I skip this?"
Ain muttered to himself. As an online novelist and Reddit fan, he was no stranger to scenes like this. Far from being afraid, he just sighed in mild annoyance. Still, he didn't complain.
"Hmm... so, as a transmigrator, I'm supposed to receive a syste—"
[DING!]
"Heh, knew it," Ain said, feeling satisfied.
[Installing Sign-in System...]
[1%...]
[47%...]
[100%]
[Installation complete.]
[Ding! Congratulations, host, for activating the Sign-in System! The host can sign in daily for a chance to receive abilities, structures, summoned creatures, items, or virtually anything as rewards!]
Ain was surprised, though he had expected it. What's a transmigration without a system?
He had read thousands of online novels in the 21st century and knew exactly how these systems worked. With this, he didn't need to worry about his survival—or boredom—in this new world.
"What are the rules for signing in?" Ain asked mentally.
[Each day, the host can sign in and receive rewards. To sign in, simply command the system.]
"I see... Well, can you restore this body's previous memories?"
[Yes.]
"Then do it."
As soon as Ain gave the command, memories flooded his mind.
The world he was in was called Blue Star.
This world was vastly different from Earth, with numerous races and creatures roaming the land. Blue Star was also much larger, about the size of Jupiter. To put it in perspective, you could fit 1,300 Earths inside it.
Blue Star had many continents, though humanity had only explored eight. Humans occupied one of these continents, known as the Human Federation, which was divided into four regions: Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. These names were based on the geographical locations—Summer Region, for example, was coastal, while the Winter Region was filled with snowy mountains and frozen tundras.
Other continents were home to different races. One was occupied by the Elf Federation, another by the Beastman Federation, two were controlled by the Underworld (demon-like beings), and the remaining two were overrun by monsters.
Each race had its strengths: elves excelled in magic, beastmen in physical power, and the Underworlders were jacks of all trades. Humanity's strength, however, lay in its intelligence and potential. While individually weaker, humans had developed advanced technology, allowing them to survive. Unfortunately, their resources were limited, forcing them to cultivate personal power as well.
In this world, every human awakened their Attribute Talent at the age of 18. Cultivating this talent allowed them to grow stronger, either through meditation or by hunting monsters and absorbing their essence.
As for Ain's current body, it belonged to someone named Ain Richter, who lived in a small city called Helical, located in the Spring Region. The previous owner of this body had died after being poisoned—out of jealousy, no less. Ain was ridiculously handsome, to the point where he could steal someone's girlfriend with just one look. Many men despised him for it, which had turned him into an introvert. Except for school, he rarely left the house, fearing that someone might try to hurt him again. As an orphan with no backing, he had every reason to be cautious.
And today, someone finally succeeded in poisoning him—with a delivery order no less.
After sorting through the memories, the new Ain couldn't help but feel dumbfounded.
"Man, this guy had no luck. Tomorrow's his awakening ceremony, and he dies the day before... sigh."
He shook his head, making a mental note not to get poisoned again.
"Alright, first goal in this world: find a way to suppress my charm. I'm still weak, so I need to stay safe," Ain said, half-joking but mostly serious.
Having decided on his first objective, Ain returned his focus to the system.
With it, he could escape this powerless state. The Sign-in System seemed overpowered, almost like a bug. But first, he needed to test it out.
"System, sign in for today."
[Ding! Congratulations, host, for signing in! You have received: Extreme Computing Power—Lösen Algorithm.]
"Uh, what is that?" Ain muttered, confused. He had never heard of it before. "System, show my status."
[Name: Ain Richter
Awakened Attribute: Not yet awakened
Skills: [Extreme Computing Power—Lösen Algorithm]
Companion Beasts: None
Combat Strength: Mortal]
A simple status screen appeared before him. Except for the skill, there wasn't much to see. Curious, Ain clicked on the skill to read its description.
[Extreme Computing Power—Lösen Algorithm: A skill from the Ex-Machina race. This ability allows the user to analyze and recreate any attack they've been hit with. Using the Lösen Algorithm, they can emulate or create new techniques. No tactic or weapon works on them twice. Every attack becomes part of their arsenal. (Note: recreated attacks will take the form of technology.)]
Ain stared, dumbfounded. Ex-Machina? Isn't that from No Game No Life? He recalled that Ex-Machina were cybernetic lifeforms, which was definitely not what he was. He was still human...
"Wait... Does that mean I can get skills even if they aren't compatible with me?"
[Answer: The system has no restrictions. The host can use abilities from other races without limitations, and they will work as intended.]
Without hesitation, Ain decided to test the new ability. He grabbed a needle and pricked his thumb, expecting the skill to analyze the pain.
Nothing happened.
After waiting for five minutes, Ain stared at his still-bleeding thumb, feeling duped.
Did I get scammed?
"The skill's not working... Maybe I got a fake?"
He paused. "No... there's only one explanation: this needle is a legendary, un-analyzable Almighty Needle!"
...
"Yeah, no. That's impossible."
He shook his head. It was just a regular needle from the store.
"Wait, why don't I just ask the system? System, why can't I use my skill?"
[Answer: The host is currently in an unawakened state. The flow of energy in your body is blocked. To activate Lösen Algorithm, the host must first awaken, unblocking the energy and enabling the skill.]
"..."
Ain was speechless. It was such an obvious answer. It was like trying to browse the internet without being connected to Wi-Fi.
"So, I'll only be able to test the skill after the awakening ceremony tomorrow... Fair enough. I'll spend today learning more about this world."
With that, Ain retrieved his laptop.
Humanity here had advanced technology, far beyond what Earth had. That was a relief—it would make adapting much easier. Despite the differences in the world, much of it still resembled Earth.
(Time skip – 2 hours)
After two hours of surfing the internet, Ain found that most discussions revolved around technology and the various creatures in the Human Federation. It was helpful for his studies, but he was disheartened by the lack of entertainment. The number of games and novels was pitiful. There were sites like YouTube and Twitch, but most of the content was people bragging about their "noble" families.
He also discovered the reason the old Ain could afford a nice house with a big garden, even though he was an orphan. The past Ain had been active on a YouTube-like platform, where he uploaded videos of himself singing. Though he never showed his face, his stunning voice had earned him a spot in the top 10 most popular creators.
Checking his balance, Ain was speechless at the amount of money in his account.
"Well, at least I don't have to worry about earning money."
After gathering the information he needed, Ain decided to call it a night. For some reason, he felt unusually tired, even though it was only 6 PM.
"Maybe transmigrating took a toll on me... Whatever. Yawn I'm off to bed."
...
(Next morning)
After waking up and showering, Ain prepared breakfast. As he cooked, he remembered to sign in.
"System, sign in for today."
[Ding! Congratulations, host, for signing in! You have received: Skill—Construct Arsenal.]
"Huh? That's new," Ain muttered, tapping the skill to check the description.
[Skill: Construct Arsenal—The ability to reconstruct anything that has been thoroughly understood. Reconstructed items are stored in a separate dimension called Arsenal.]
"..."
"Holy crap, this is like the Herrscher of Reason's ability! Wait, no—mine isn't restricted to 'manmade objects.'"
Ain was beginning to understand just how broken the system was.
