A whole new world

Alena groaned as she pushed herself up from the ground. Her grey eyes slowly fluttered open, eyes lashes like butterfly wings. She was laying in a crater in a clearing that was surrounded by tall trees. Her tattered robes were covered in dust and despite the dirt on her face, one could tell that she had stunning features and that she had a commanding aura around her.

She took out a small lapis lazuli blue pouch that was embroidered with dragons in gold thread. She took out a glass vial filled with pills that looked like pearls. She opened the bottle and the pills rolled out, they had an enchanting fragrance and luster. She ate one of them. Immediately, her wounds from the lightning and depleted energy recovered. She immediately cleaned herself off and changed herself into a new set of robes from her storage pouch. The plain robes that were the color of the vast blue sky fluttered as Alena floated into the sky.

She surveyed the damage her fall had caused. Trees were broken and the ground had a large crater. She frowned and waved her hand. The ground filled in and the broken trees rose up from the ground, the branches reattaching themselves.

Satisfied with her work, she smiled, "Now, onto the more important matters. My surroundings have changed. Have I successfully ascended?"

Alena flew up even higher, to get a better view of her surroundings. Her eyes widened when she spotted tall rising buildings in the distance.

"This is not Ofiel for sure."

She took out her sword from her pouch and hopped on it before starting towards the city in the distance.

When Alena was close to the towering city, she cast an invisibility spell on herself and flew towards the bustling streets. She landed on top of a street light and put her sword away before jumping down onto the sidewalk. She stood there observing until a girl bumped into her, making the invisibility spell stop.

"I'm sorry! I didn't see you."

"It is not a problem, but please watch out for others in the future," responded Alena. She felt a little bit guilty because of the innocent girl. Of course, she didn't see Alena because of the invisibility spell! "Watch out for others in the future"... Pfft.

Alena nodded at the girl before walking down the sidewalk. She observed the stores to her right, "I love Lah?"

"Lah is it? What an interesting place."

Suddenly, a scream rang out and Alena's head turned sharply to see a little kid chasing a rolling toy. A large metal beast was coming towards the little boy at fast speeds. Alena immediately darted towards the waddling child that was unaware of his peril. She scooped up the child into her arms and covered him with energy to prevent harm from fast speeds before dashing back to the sidewalk at a speed not visible to the naked eye. Lan Tian gently set down the child by his horrified mother and patted his head gently before speeding off.

To the onlookers, the child had been in the middle of the road until the child suddenly disappeared and reappeared beside his mother while an oddly dressed beauty patted the child's head before disappearing in a flash.

A vlogger had caught the moment on camera. They were excited by the number of views and publicity the video would give him. The vlogger immediately rushed home and posted a clip on YouTube.

"Mysterious Woman with Superpowers Saves Child"

A bored highschooler was browsing through YouTube when she saw the title.

"Sounds interesting."

After watching the short 10-second clip, she was shocked, "This isn't possible, I've got to share this with my friends."

The clip started to spread like a wildfire and it became the #1 trending video on YouTube.

"Master, there's news of suspicious activity," reported a suited man with his head lowered in front of a desk where a man sat, face hidden by the shadows.

"Elaborate."

"There was a meteorite that landed in the Angeles National Forest and later a clip of a woman dressed in robes with superhuman strength. After seeing the clip, we investigated the area the meteorite landed and found that there was no damage to the area with traces of mana. We are certain that it's another being that has ascended."

"Do your best to recruit them."

"Understood sir."

A woman in an A-line black dress and red heels was standing at the top of a steep rocky mountain eating chips. There were no paths leading up the snow-covered mountain, and there were no footsteps around her. She seemed unaffected by the cold and stood proudly at the top of the mountain, above the clouds.

A voice spoke quietly in her head, "7th miss, we believe someone new has ascended."

"Understood, I'm coming home."

She dusted off her dress and snapped her fingers, vanishing, the only evidence of her being there was a single pair of footprints and chip particles.
