Gevariel, who seemed indifferent, also approached Quin. The awkwardness towards strangers suddenly disappeared from him. "Looks like you are allergic," Geva said but he got a shout from Quineera.
"What did you mix in that food?" Quin's voice rose while she had to endure the itching all over her body. Her breath began to pant until Luke rushed her to the car.
"I am coming!" Geva immediately brought Quin's sling bag which was on the table.
They arrived at the nearest hospital. When Gevariel wanted to get out from the car, Geva's legs trembled at the sight of the building, which was inhabited by many people dressed in white.
"I will be waiting in the car." Geva's feet returned to the car.
"You wait here. Do not go anywhere!" Luke ordered. Luke immediately took Quin to the hospital.
"What's wrong with her? Why is she suddenly sick?" Luke asked when the doctor finished checking Quineera's condition.
"The patient is allergic to cow's milk. That's why she was congested and red spots appeared on her skin. I already gave allergy medicine. Once she gets better she can go straight home," the woman in white with a stethoscope hanging around her neck gave an explanation.
"Thank you, doctor," Luke said, then he came to Quineera.
"Are you okay?" Luke sat on the edge of the bed and checked Quin's hand, which was still red and full with spots.
"Where is your friend? He really is not responsible. He is the one who made me like this," Quineera asked.
For a moment Quineera's annoyance made her forget her mission to make Gevariel fall in love with her.
"Actually this is not Geva's fault. He doesn't know that you are allergic to cow's milk." Luke defended his best friend because he thought it was the truth.
"Where is he now? I want to see him," Quin asked. She was still upset. Her allergies rarely recur because the people around her were very concerned about her food.
"He was waiting in the car. The most important thing is that you are okay." Luke tried to make the woman in front of him forget her annoyance but he failed miserably.
"What? I was sick like this but he was in the car. He is so annoying. Then why did he come with us?" Quin's annoyance increased tenfold.
"You wouldn't understand, Quin." Luke's face was clearly legible. He was still by his best friend's side.
"What do you mean? Looks like you are blaming me. I am like this because of him and now he is just chilling in the car?" Quin was still pissed. She wished Geva was in the room with her but Luke replaced Geva's responsibility. Geva was completely unreliable.
"Geva didn't mean to do that, but...." Luke hung up. He could not tell a secret about Gevariel.
"What happened? Don't make me curious," Quineera insisted. Luke had no choice. He also did not want Quin to always blame Geva.
"Geva has trauma about the hospital. Every time he went to the hospital he would remember a bitter incident in his life. Please understand him, Quin." Finally one of Gevariel's secrets was revealed.
"Trauma? How could he be traumatized?" Quinnera gasped. She wanted to know more about Gevariel.
"I have no right to tell you. Please understand the situation. Moreover, he does not know if you are allergic to cow's milk."
Quineera was pensive and then she saw Luke, "You are right. It's not his fault because he doesn't know I am allergic to cow's milk," Quinn answered and then she said in her heart. "I have to take advantage of this situation to get us closer."
Quineera had to stay for one night in the hospital, it made Gevariel even more uncomfortable. "Calm down! Tomorrow Quineera will be home. It's just that the doctor advised her to rest until the red spots are completely gone. Maybe a day or two," Luke explained when he talked with Geva in the car.
"Has she eaten?" Geva asked. He really did not want anyone else to get hurt because of him. Theresia and her parents had enough to torture him.
"I will buy her some food after I take you home." Luke answered.
"Don't! We'd better get some food first. She must be hungry."
Luke agreed. They looked for the nearest restaurant. Geva ordered a salad with mixed yogurt. "This food is good for treating allergies. The content of yogurt and fruit will fight allergies which are anti-inflammatory." Gevariel explained.
Last year Gevariel received his S.Gz (Bachelor of Nutrition) degree. No wonder he knew so much about nutrition.
"Okay, but you have to buy something else. Quin won't be full just by eating salad."
Luke returned to the hospital while Geva stopped a taxi and decided to head back to the apartment. He planned to prepare food when Quin returned from the hospital.
"This food is from Geva. Eat!" Luke said when he sat down beside Quineera's bed.
"Geva bought it for me?" Quineera asked just to make sure. Her face smiled. It turned out that the annoying man was able to pay attention to her.
"Actually Geva is a very good guy but many things happened to him in the past and it made him who he is today. He became shy, didn't like crowds, and didn't want to meet new people." Little by little Luke told Quineera about Gevariel.
"Quin!" Katty's voice was heard when she opened the door. The two assistants were already in the room. "What did I say? You can't stay alone," Katty was nagging at her boss.
"I am okay, Katty. I accidentally ate food containing cow's milk. No need to worry," Quin tried to calm her assistant.
"You'd better go home!" Max said firmly.
"Katty, I told you not to tell Max that I was sick. He will definitely ask me home." Quin nagged at Katy.
"Sorry, Miss. Max asked me where I was going. You know I can't lie to my brother." Katty lowered her head because she could not keep her promise.
"Max, let me do it. I want to live independently like everyone else. I promise I will take care of myself." Quin pleaded, looking at Max's face.
"Today you got sick and what will happen tomorrow?"
Max's question made Quin had to think fast so that she could give the right answer.
