“Sam… I… I’m sorry but…” she trailed off because his hold on her hand tightened as he tensed up hearing her words. “Sam…”

It was really hard for her to reject him. She did not know she would actually feel like this. But she could not go with him.

Tomorrow, she needed to leave with Aron, as she was scheduled to have her surgery. She would really be insane if she chose to go with Sam. Any sane person would not agree to just up and go to a place she knew absolutely nothing about.

‘And there is always that risk that Sam might abandon me again like the last time…’ her mind rebelliously quipped at her internally. Though she knew that he must have had his own reasons leading up to what happened to them that time, she still could not help but feel a little bit hurt at being so suddenly abandoned with no hint whatsoever at his whereabouts after that.

However, she kept all of these in her heart and just stared at him silently, not able to complete her rejection.
