"Miss Xylia, the board decided to replace Chelsea and put someone from the boys. We already chose the new Vice President."
"I thought there would be an election."
"That won't be necessary."
Xylia was surprised by the unexpected decision of the board. Chelsea was the current Vice President of the school, and they wanted to replace her with someone from the boys.
She already knew that one or two positions on the student council would have a re-election. The principal told her that the members should be a combination of boys and girls. But she didn't expect they would just pick someone and take Chelsea's position since she was one of the wealthiest students in school.
They explained everything to her but she couldn't understand every word they said. She was looking at them, but her mind was drifting away from that room.
"How could they do this? They will put someone from the new students as the vice president and remove Chelsea. Xylia, you have to do something." Liliana ranted.
"I'm sorry, but they already decided. The principal told me that there will be another election. I was also surprised that they just chose someone." She answered.
Xylia returned to the student council's room after meeting the board of directors. She wanted to tell them to have a proper election instead of randomly choosing someone, but was unable to reason with them.
She glanced at Chelsea who was quietly sitting on the chair in front of her desk.
Xylia sighed. "Chelsea, I'm sorry."
But before Chelsea could answer, the door suddenly opened. They were all confused when they saw Aciel casually walking inside.
"Don't you know how to knock? This is the student council's room. You cannot just come in here without permission." Naomi scolded him.
He smirked. "This would also be my room from now on so I think I don't need permission to be here."
Xylia frowned.
"What do you mean?" Chelsea asked.
"I'm the new vice president of this school. The newest member of the student council. If there's someone who doesn't belong here, I think it's not me."
Chelsea's eyes widened and the others were in disbelief including Xylia.
"Really?" Chelsea then turned to Xylia to confront her. "Now, I see the reason you didn't even go against them."
"And what do you mean by those words?" Xylia asked, frowning.
"Whatever! You know exactly what I mean." Chelsea turned her back on her and left.
She called Chelsea's name a few times to tell her that she didn't know that Aciel would be the new Vice President, but Chelsea walked out of the room. Liliana and the others asked Xylia if they could talk to her, and she agreed.
Aciel sat down on the couch after the girls left. Xylia's head throbbed. It was another stressful day, and it wasn't even finished yet.
"Now, you know what happens when you just agree with everything they tell you." Aciel commented.
His tone was sarcastic so she decided to keep quiet and didn't talk back.
"Did you try to reason with them? I think not. Did you even ask them about the person they chose as the replacement of your friend? No, right? You just said yes." Aciel continued.
"What do you want me to do?" She whispered.
"Why? Do you think I care about that? That's your problem, not mine."
"Then don't scold me if you don't care. You don't even know what it feels like to be in my position." She said before standing up.
She was about to leave but Aciel cornered her. Her back was leaning against the door while Aciel stood in front of her with a dark expression. His hands were on the side of her head, stopping her from getting away.
"Please move. I want to get out of here." She pleaded.
"Why? Are you afraid of me?"
"N-No! I'm not!"
"Then why can't you look at me?"
Xylia's heart was pounding and beating so fast. Her knees felt weak, but she tried her best to stand up and the door became her support.
She was scared of him. Yes.
She was scared to look at him because he might see all her lies and her true feelings. She didn't want anyone to see what kind of person she really was.
"Look at me!" He yelled.
She bit her lips before slowly tilting her head to meet his gaze. She felt like her chest started to tighten by looking directly into his eyes. He was too close to her and their faces were just a few inches from each other. She could hear Aciel's ragged breathing.
He had a bad mood when he entered the student council's room. He didn't want to be the Vice President, but he knew Martin was the one who arranged everything on behalf of his father, of course. He was trying to avoid Xylia and didn't want to see her because of what happened the other day.
It was the first time he didn't have sex with the girls brought into his penthouse. He asked Colt to bring two girls, but when he got there, he wasn't in the mood. His mind was occupied by Xylia, making him hate her more.
Now, she was in front of him, staring at him was a pair of emeralds. Her eyes were like nature, giving him peace. Her lips were red like the blood moon, but he noticed it was swollen.
He fretted. Xylia was surprised when he suddenly put his hand on her chin and then brushed his thumb on her lips.
"Who did this?" He asked.
Xylia's chest felt like it was going to burst. How did he know? She tried her best to cover it with red lipstick, and she thought no one would notice it.
"I-It's nothing. I accidentally bit my lips when—"
"Stop lying and stop acting! Who did this to you?" He yelled.
"A-Aciel, please don't do this. Don't ask something I can't answer." She begged.
He didn't like her answer so he would not stop until she tells him what happened.
"If you won't tell me, then I will have to convince you." He murmured before crossing the space between them.
