They exited the landing area and walked to the building across the street.
Surprisingly, there was a road that they had crossed. Just like on earth the roads here seem to have sidewalks lined with different flower bearing trees.
Cars could be seen landing and taking off. They seem to glide as if they were earth like hovercrafts. Some of the cars were hovering just above the ground, others were taking off and moving upwards and still others were flying above the treetops.
These cars were like back home but more modernised and devoid of wheels.
The building they were heading too, looked like a huge spaceship.
"This is the head office of administration of the mother ship. The persons in charge of all the transport and defense ships are also there," Ken said.
"The Orbs can come in for a few minutes and then we will ask them to wait outside. The reason being that they main feel uncomfortable in a confined space."
The door opened after the communication was made at the door. Everyone was let in by a robot and they all followed the robot who ushered them into a huge room.
The Orbs followed them in, had a look around but they wanted to go outside as they huddled adjacent to the door and were crowding at the door area.
Seeing them do this, Ken realised that they wanted to be let out. He walked over to the door and opened it to let the Orbs out. He managed to let them know that they were not to wonder off but wait for him and the rest of the people to come out.
After letting the Orbs out, Ken came back into the room and asked Guy to carry on giving some explanation.
We do not waste time and money and effort on fighting each other." Guy replied.
But we do need weapons on our mother ships as sometimes we need to deal with rogue planets."
"Our mother ships is like a mini world, with a huge city with its own administration, farms, botanical gardens, educational institutes, defence mechanisms."
"When we board a mother ship, we are here for one to three years and our families need to be accommodated too as we are working on various projects."
"All facilities that our families need like houses, schools, colleges, jobs, eating houses, shopping areas etc. are made available to us," Guy added.
"During the course of our trip, we need to deliver and pick up supplies from various planets on the way, which accounts for the transport/ supply ship that you traveled on to the mother ship." The manufactured stuff be it clothes, electronics, heavy machinery, vehicles etc are exchanged at various outposts," Ken added.
"We have a currency called Credits and it is a currency accepted across all the planets we go to. There is a Universal Council that governs all the planets in so far as trade etc is concerned."
"Like I said earlier, we do not fight among ourselves, but there are rogue planets that are outside the jurisdiction of the Universal Council. These rogue planets are always ready to attack our mother ships and supply ships in order to steal commodities and if possible, attack a friendly planet," added Guy.
"Our weapons come into use when the the Universal Council commands all the members to combine their defence resources and defeat the common enemy."
"How long do we wait here?" inquired Cathy.
"I will find out what is happening!" replied Ken and simultaneously told Guy to check up.
Guy left and soon returned to inform that the Administrative council was on the way and they needed to wait for a few more minutes.
Zoya aske,"You said that we wcould be given a guided tour, if so will we be allowed to do some shopping?"
"We do not have money, how can we do shopping?" she added.
"That will be arranged, I will have someone give you a few Credits," Guy replied.
"I will personally accompany you all for your shopping expedition."
"I am sure Tania will need to buy many things too," he added with softness in his voice.
Soon a movement was felt outside the room. Everyone in the room cut their conversation. The door opened and 5 persons walked in. All of then were dressed in olden style garments from the Victorian Era. Be it males or females.
The clothes worn by the members of the Administrative Council were somewhat like flowing gowns. A hooded clock gave the plain gown more grace. The gown was tied around the middle with a slash made of diamonds. The hood was similarly embroidered with precious stones.
Everyone in the room stood up as as soon as the elders walked in. This was a form of respect as practised back home. Surprisingly, many of the customs were similar. Could this be because they were all descendents of Earthlings? A question that was running in the minds of all the children.
The elders took their seats and simultaneously gestured everyone to be seated.
Ken got up to speak. This was something like it happened on earth.
Ken explained to the elders the entire story of the children and their camping trip. How they had to leave camp and on their way back they got lost. They ended up in Utopia which was a hidden world from the world above and highly developed but in the clutched of a civil war. The Administrators had become cruel.
The camping group were helping the Utopians fight against the oppressors. The Orbs of scientists who had escaped from a huge brain that had trapped them, were also helping the Utopians fighting for justice. The scientists soon realised that they needed crystals for their hyponitizers. As a result, except for two persons, the rest ventured into the Magical World along with half the Orbs to search for these crystals. Yesterday, two of the children as well as half of the Orbs headed back to Utopia with the crystals.
The rest of the 8 children and their elder wanted to see Titan, our home. Incidently, these persons are the descendeds of our ancestors.
Sorry all. I know there has been a long gap since the last chapter.
I started working again, about 2 months ago. To and fro trips and working again after Corona lockdown, was not easy. The trips tp the new office and back caused too much tiredness. By the time it was 9.30 p.m, I was asleep.
As a result, I could not write at all. Now I am getting used to the routine and will try posting a chapter or two every week..
