Conclusions

When Jon arrived at his home, he let out a deep sigh as he thought about what happened a few minutes ago.

'I didn't mean to kick it that hard. I guess I'm really stronger than I was before.'

Jon thought as he was headed to the bathroom to freshen up, but a sudden thought entered his mind as he remembered what his grandfather said in the video.

'Didn't he say that my body will grow stronger the more I push it?!'

At the sudden thought, Jon stopped in his tracks.

'So doesn't that mean the more I train my body, the stronger it gets? As to what I know about my body after taking the serum, it's far superior to that of a regular human body.'

Jon's heart started to race in excitement as he came to realize something.

'Ever since I've taken the serum, I've felt that I've been able to process information a bit faster than ever, and when I focus on any one of my senses, I can tell they're stronger than ever. If I could train my body to improve even further than what I am able to do now, then-'

Jon's thoughts were cut short as his heart started to race even faster as he came to a conclusion from his thoughts.

'I'll be no different than a superhuman!'

His eyes were widening in shock as he thought about this, but on his face there was a crazed smile that he himself didn't even notice.

'No, wait. I need to calm down. I can't get too excited.

He thought to himself as he took in a deep breath and exhaled. Once he calmed down, he was able to think a bit more clearly.

'Granpa had taken the ambrosia serum several years before I even knew him, and as long as I knew him, he was always training. He had always been exercising anyway he could, so I can assume that he was scarily powerful.'

Jon's eyes narrowed as he came to the conclusion that his grandfather was way more powerful than an average human, given the fact that he was a trained assassin before he had taken the serum that made his assumption even more accurate. That led Jon to ask himself another question.

'How did Grandpa die? There's no way that he would die so easily, not with the amount of power he should have possessed. Even if he were outnumbered, he should have been able to run away, right?'

Jon couldn't think of an answer to his questions, and that gave him an ominous feeling that he didn't like. Then, all of a sudden, another question came to him.

'What happened to Grandpa's body?'

Jon narrowed his eyes, and a frown appeared on his face as he thought of this. He started to fold his fists and squeeze them tightly as he thought of the possibilities. He then let out a deep sigh.

'I need to remain calm. I won't get the answers I'm looking for by getting worked up. What I need right now is information.'

Jon shook his head, then went to the bathroom to freshen up, and after that, he went to his room and picked up his laptop.

Seeing that the flash drive was still inserted, he realized that he had forgotten to take it out.

'Did Natasha see what was on the flash drive as well? She probably didn't; if she did, she would have probably confronted me about it.'

He thought as he turned on the laptop to search through the other folders that he had seen on the flash drive.

Bridgeview Academy

Meanwhile, Jon was at home. Victoria was frowning at the thought that he had skipped school.

'Just who skipped school on their second day after just transferring in? How does that even make sense?'

Victoria didn't know the reason why Jon had skipped school, so she thought that he was avoiding her because of the little talk they had yesterday after school.

'Is he not afraid of me exposing him? Does he think that I actually won't do it?'

Victoria grew irritated at the thought of him underestimating her.

'I'll do it. I'll show that bastard not to look down on me.'

She made up her mind to expose Jon's stabbing incident to the entire school, but then she suddenly remembered when he held her in the air and was looking her in the eye. She remembered how she felt then as well. It was hard to breathe. She felt that if she had shown any fear, she would be devoured by some sort of wild beast.

Victoria looked down at her hand, which was resting on her lap below her desk. She lifted her arms, brought her hands closer to her face, and saw that they were shaking. It seemed that not only her but also her body remembered the fear that she felt that day.

Seeing her hand tremble violently,Victoria closed her eyes and rested her hands on her lap once again. She then took a deep breath and exhaled to calm herself. When she felt that, she was calm. She opened her eyes, looked down at her hands, and saw that they were no longer shaking.

Letting out a brief sigh, she thought back to her previous decision and shook her head. She decided to change her mind.

'Let's wait until he's back at school; I'll talk to him then. I'm already on his bad side; let's try to lower his hostility towards me instead of raising it. Otherwise, that crazy bastard might really kill me.'

She thought with a slight shiver as she remembered the dark look in his eyes.

"Hey Victoria"

A sudden voice brought her out of her thoughts, and she turned to see one of her classmates approaching her.

It was Emilia, one of her close friends and also a member of the student council. She had a concerned look on her face as she approached Victoria.

"Are you alright? You've been sitting here by yourself with a troubled look on your face."

She said to her friend with a raised eyebrow as she stared down at Victoria.

"I'm fine. I was just thinking about something."

"If you say so."

Emilia replied with a curious look on her face, as if she didn't really believe what Victoria had said to her.

"Emilia."

"Huh? What is it?"

"...."

Victoria was contemplating whether she should ask her friend what she thought about Jon, but she was unsure if she should. There was already a misunderstanding going around the school that there was something going on between her and him. Even though she was the one who caused that misunderstanding, she didn't want to worsen the situation.

Seeing her friend go silent after calling out to her had Emilia looking at Victoria puzzlingly. She knew that Victoria had always been the calculating type, so seeing her like this meant that she was usually overthinking something.

"What do you think of the transfer student?"

"The transfer student? You mean Jonathan? He seems like the quiet type to me. However, he did have a fight with Haoyu on the first day."

She spoke as her finger rested on her chin, as if she were thinking about something. Her eyes suddenly widened, as if she remembered something. Emilia turned around to look at the back of the class to see Hao with his head on his desk. She then moved closer to Victoria and leaned in closer to her ear.

"A friend of mine told me that yesterday, two guys from Southland High were hitting on her, but Hao interfered and allowed her to escape. She told me that she felt bad leaving him alone, so she eventually went back, and when she did, what she saw was Jonathan and Haoyu fighting with those two guys, and not only that, but another Southland guy was knocked out cold on the ground."

"What!"

Victoria exclaimed in shock, and the entire class turned to look at her with questioning looks. She didn't care about that, as her eyes were on Hao at the back of the class, sleeping as if he didn't care about anything happening around him.

'What happened between them? Didn't they have a fight yesterday? So why were they fighting together against Southland students?'

"Shhhhhh Victoria!"

Hearing Emilia's voice, Victoria turned to see that her friend was looking at her with a panicked look on her face. She then turned to see that the rest of her classmates were staring at her.

She turned to Emilia and gave her an awkward smile, to which her friend just sighed and continued her story.

"Anyways, she said one of the Southland guys pulled out a knife and attacked Jonathan, but he effortlessly took him down. She said she was afraid of getting caught, so she ran away."

"It's strange."

"What is?"

"No, it's just that Jon doesn't seem to be the type to interfere with other people's business. And besides, didn't they fight earlier that day?"

"I don't know. Maybe they became friends after? Guys are weird like that."

Emilia said after giving a brief shug as they both turned their attention towards Hao. She then turned her gaze back to Victoria and spoke in a serious tone.

"If what she told me turns out to be true, won't this be an issue?"

"If it's true, then it's a very big issue."

Right after she said that, the classroom door was open, and three boys walked in. They had on long-sleeve white shirts with a dark blue silk tie around their necks, along with khaki pants and black shoes. They were the third-year students.

"Speak of the devil."

Victoria muttered and let out a heavy sigh as she stared at the students that walked in. The one that seemed to be the leader of the three had black hair, a light-brown complexion, and dark brown eyes. He was rather tall for his age, at 6'2. The other student who walked behind him had a shaved head and was rather muscular, as if he were weightlifting. He had a dark brown complexion, and unlike most male students, he kept his shirt well tucked in his pants and appeared rather neatly. He was almost the same height as his friend that he walked in behind.

The third student and the last to walk in was a little shorter than the others; he was about 5'10 in height. He had a light complexion because he was of European descent; he also had brown hair and gray eyes.

Victoria got up from where she sat and walked toward the boy, who stood in front with an irritated expression on her face.

"What do you want, Nicholas?"

She asked the one who seemed to be the leader of the three third-years who walked in. He looked at her with an amused expression before he replied with an arrogant grin on his face.

"Relax, princess, we're not here for you."

Nicholas then walked around Victoria, who was glaring at him as he walked by her. He then stood in front of the class, which caused the students in the class to pay attention to his action.

"We're here for two students. Their names are Haoyu Yang and Jonathan Tier. Len is calling for both of you, so get your asses out here now!"
