Seal

He was playing with his thumbs, fidgeting and with a somewhat shaking voice asked me again, "Can you?"

The sudden offer caught me a little off guard. He looked like the type of a guy I would refer to as playful or annoying, he is what I would imagine if I had a brother.

"What potion?" I asked. I knew I shouldn't be interested. I knew I should be more in the direction towards the faes and the other kingdom, diving myself into the story of this man was something I should be hesitant about.

His lips spread further apart, "Its-"

"N-no, let's do blood of oath first," I hurriedly added.

Blood oath was a promise made between trusted parties, if one of us went back on our words we would have to pay the price with our lives.

My offer could have been outrageous. I just wanted to check how far he was willing to go.

If I could do what he wanted to, and if he swore blood oath it would be enough for me to trust him, he would be a big help for me to get adjusted into this foreign land.

"Okay," he said with no hesitation. I expected him to at least take time to think about it. I kept staring at him; his eyes especially, not sure which one to look at. Both were the most beautiful things I've ever seen.

I took a deep breath, "Um..that was fast," I patted my pockets unsure where I kept my pocket knife. Patting all my lower and higher pockets I finally found it on my sleeves. "Okay, you first," I said and handed out the knife.

"How many pockets do you have?" He widened his eyes and shook his head before taking the knife and placing it above his fingers pushing with very slight force, hesitating to go further in, "What if it has poison?"

I scoffed, "What if it doesn't?"

He bit inside of his cheeks, "I suppose there is only one way to find the answer" he shook his head before piercing his skin, and a drop of blood slowly slid his fingers and reached his palms. "Your turn," he said and handed it. "And let's make this deal a secret,"

"That would be nice," I poked a small wound and glanced at him. We both nodded in agreement and started, "With the son god as our witness we promised each other our trust, " he paused.

He wanted me to go first to add the clause, "I, Zelda De Celestite Fiona swore to keep this alliance a secret, I shall not harm my dealer unless he does and try my best to fulfil this one request from him." With that I paused.

He continued. "I, Claude Ouisie Jewerio, promise to keep this alliance a secret and swore to never intentionally harm my dealer. I commend to do any one favour she wishes for if she can complete my request."

We gave each other a look again and nodded together. "seal," we said it together. With that, a golden seal appeared on both of our wrists, a golden sun. It was a crest only the dealers would be able to see. When the deal would be done it would break.

"You have a long name," He said looking up at the ceiling as if he was trying to recall something.

I sighed and leaned back on the chair, "Yours is short,"

He looked at the door, "Do all witches have 2 middle names?"

I glanced at the door too wondering what he was expecting, "Is someone coming?"

He smiled, "You know who?" he said and leaned back on the bed, with his eyebrows furrowed, shoulders stiff and eyes a little teary

I rolled my eyes, "of course" I mumbled and wrapped him in a blanket. "At night meet me outside, the same place we met."

He nodded, and quickly the door opened and the doctor entered with a few jars in his hands. Nothing smelled better than freshly fermented herbs.

"Doctor," I said and stood up greeting him with a little bow. He smiled back and hurried to place the jars on his table.

"I did what I could, now please excuse me," I said.

"Thank you, Zelda," He checked Claude's hands, "Healing was better than I expected maybe your fairy blood is stronger,"

"It indeed was," Claude said, "I had never seen such beautiful aura,"

The doctor appeared delighted, "That's wonderful! Next time I will be there to observe"

stepping closer to the door I just shrugged, "He is exaggerating, It wasn't that great." I laughed, "You don't need to bother, doctor,"

Claude was smiling, enjoying the scene. "I shall take my leave, I have a lot of chores," I said and twisted the door knob. "If you excuse me," I said and hurriedly left.

Claude was going to be a headache.
