"You should call me Darling," Xander corrected, his eyes twinkling with playful mischief as he carried her toward the bathroom.
The door shut with a soft click as Xander set Aurora down gently on her feet. He leaned in, brushing his lips across her forehead in a feather-light kiss as his gaze fell on her chest before his fingers moved to the buttons of her shirt.
Aurora tilted her head to meet his gaze. "I called you earlier today, but Liam picked up. It seems you've been busy," she said, her voice soft, though curiosity lingered in her tone.
"Very," Xander admitted, his hands moving swiftly, unfastening her buttons one by one. Each inch of exposed skin was met with a fleeting glance, his expression soft yet deliberate.
"Did you manage to deal with the company stocks issue?" she inquired as her gaze took in his soft facial features and wondered why he wasn't a bit kind to her Aunt when they met earlier.
