THE PEARL 2

"But you need rest." I knew he heard the desperation in my words. I wanted him so badly, but I wasn't stupid to say a word to him. I couldn't, it is shameful to even feel this way for him.

"Do you need me to help you out?" He asked so shamelessly like it was nothing. I bit my lower lips darting my gaze from him as I felt my cheek turn warm.

"W... what are you talking about?" One of the reasons I wanted Leviathan to stay back was also because I wanted to steal the pearl away from him as quietly as he had stolen it from me before. I could also play the game he thought he could.

"You should stay with me tonight, please." His eyes softened and then narrowed at me as his cunning eyes lingered around every inch of me, taking in my view.

Leviathan said nothing to me and just walked to his side of the bed and sat on it. I heard his shoes drop to the floor, and got excited that he listened to me.
